Planner Stamping: November 30 - December 6, 2015 Snowbunny Lucy

{I'm backdating my posts to the week that is dated in my planner.}  I've loved paper and pens since I was a baby.  My mom would let me cut images out of magazines so she could cook dinner, lol.  But a few years ago, having a physical planner just wasn't working for me anymore.  I used to color code and used my planner for everything.  Work, personal, and blogging.  Then I got an iPhone, lol, and an iPad.  For my day job, I'm required to use the Outlook calendar with my team for deadlines and appointments.  In 2011, I decided to go completely digital and honestly, I haven't looked back.  I always have my phone with me, so if I need to look at my calendar, it's right there.

My friend Thanh decided to get a Happy Planner from Mambi (Me and My Big Ideas) and asked me to do this creative journey with her.  I decided to take the plunge, lol, and while it might seem like I went overboard, I bought stamps that I would use regardless.  Unfortunately, I can't get rid of my electronic calendars, but it is fun to have a creative and physical representation of them.  I think of it more as scrapbooking.

Thanh started her planner in January, but I bought one that started in July of 2015.  I was able to play around a bit and practice!  Which I'm glad I did, because it took me awhile to figure out what I liked and didn't.  If I hadn't, I don't think I would of been ready to join Thanh.

I tried really hard to use chalk ink, since it doesn't bleed through the pages, but I couldn't.  I finally gave up and decided to stamp my dye inks on label paper and then just stick them in my planner.  I also didn't like using washi tape.  Since I don't write new titles on the washi, you can see the original titles and it just bothers me, lol.  So, I reverted to my all time favorite, and I'm using up strips of my patterned paper.  I also purposely bought this specific version of the Happy Planner so that the weekend boxes would always be this neutral color and the numbers on the top would always be black.  In some of the other designs, the numbers and weekend boxes change colors.

I wanted to use Basic Grey paper in my very first layout, so I chose the newest Christmas line, Juniper Berry.  I also decided on Snowbunny Lucy, since Lucy is Brent's favorite character.  As you can tell, I had a lot of appointments for the house this week.  We also went to the Zoo Lights and got Boston's picture taken with Santa. (which I should post...)  Well, I hope you all have a great day!
