Hang 10 Sparkle Creations Surfing Oliver Card

This is another of my cards that I made last summer.  While I was shopping at a local craft store, A Joy Forever, I found all the embellishments for this paper pack on clearance.  Since I also still have a limited supply of stuff, it's really nice to have a full matching set.

I'm not sure how Ollie ended up in a pink outfit, lol, but I love the color combo on this card.  My mom loved purple, so it reminds me of her.  My friend Shaela got me the Tiny Attacher last year and I really love it!  I don't know how I waited so long to get it!

I need to go find my SU paper so I can have colored backgrounds again.  I asked Brent twice to go get my PTI paper out of storage and he refused. :(  I have 6 packs of white cardstock...but no worries, I just ordered some.  In the big picture, I figure I'll eventually use it all up.

I'm up in Seattle this week for work.  We're teaching a new workshop for the branch managers and I get to see Tami, our trainer from Las Vegas.  I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

With Sympathy Stamping Bella Calliope Ketto Card

One of my MIL's co-worker's dad passed away and she asked me to make a card.  I'm always kindof late to the trends, lol, and this is my first sunburst card.  At one of my card classes at Kandi's, we did a card with it and I thought I would try it out.

Though these colors are bright, I thought it would be a cheer summer sympathy card.  This paper pack from Basic Grey is still one of my favorites.  I love the pop of bright colors!

Here is a link to a tutorial for the sunburst technique if you'd like to try it.  I was amazed I couldn't find one on Splitcoast.  It does require quite a bit of cutting, but it's not too hard!  I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Year of Dates: Wild Wasabe

{Sigh.} I'm still not doing a good job at taking pictures of us on our dates.  I'm also really behind on posting about our dates.  This was actually the last date we went on (besides our anniversary) since we've been looking at houses with all of our spare time.

This was another Groupon date that we needed to use up before it expired.  Sushi is one of my favorite things to eat, so I was excited to try a new place.  Over all, the food was good.  Our service was only okay and we waited a long time.  While our meal was good, I don't know that I would actually go there again.

Boston goes to daycare on Fridays, so we dropped him off and then went to lunch before Brent started work.  I took a picture of Brent eating his shrimp tempura and below is a picture of my sushi rolls.

All in all, we had a good time out and enjoyed it.  I'm hoping to get us back on track with our dates, but we will see how life goes these next few months.  Tomorrow Boston and I will be traveling up to Vancouver, BC.  We are going up for the weekend to attend my friend Thanh's wedding shower.  Well, I hope you all have a great Thursday!

{A Year of Dates}:  The basic idea of this is to plan out date nights for the entire year. This year I pre-planned 26 dates for us and I am sharing our dates as we go on them through out the year.  You can read more about this in my original post.

Soak Up The Sunshine Sparkle Creations Hula Girl Lucy Card

About this time of year, I start looking for Hawaii, beach, or tropical images to make cards for my mom's passing away anniversary in October.  As I was cleaning out some of my old cards, I came across a few cards that I finished last year and never posted on my blog.

When Boston was still an infant, he was really good at just hanging out and napping in his rock-n-play.  Now, I can only craft while he is napping or sleeping for the night.  Boston is still a great sleeper and is still sleeping straight through the night.

Soleil is still one of my favorite paper packs.  The bright and fun colors are perfect for summer.  Plus, this was a collaboration with Basic Grey and Sassafras and I miss their (Sassafras) paper lines!  Below is the inside of the card.

I haven't really been crafty shopping that much, but I guess I'll have to start looking for a new stamp this year.  Another random thought, I was really excited to see that Hootsuite and Instagram are now working together!  Maybe I can actually keep up with all this posting!  Anyhoo, I hope you all have a great Monday!
