Pretty Cool Swimming Lucy Card and Wedding Pics

I've had this image colored and sitting in my room for months.  She gets used so often, you would think I would have a ton of sample cards of her.  But I don't...lol.  So I decided to make this card for my CHA display pile.

With Brent and I going to Hawaii soon, I hope to enjoy my time like Lucy is!  I've been so good about posting on my blog lately, so I hope I can keep up!

At the wedding, I was a bridesmaid...which meant I couldn't run around with my camera.  This is the only photo I've seen of Myra, my SIL, so far.  Isn't she just gorgeous?!?  I've been stalking Facebook, but I doubt any of my Aunts who took a million pics actually have Facebook, lol.  The professional pics will be up in a couple of weeks, so I'm sure by the time I get back to Hawaii, it'll be great to look at them.

Here's a quick photo of my brother and I, while Myra was getting her pics taken.

While the professional photographers were taking pictures of Brien and Myra, we snuck my iPhone into Brent's tux and took some pics. :)  It was actually the MOH's idea!  Which was brilliant really.  Here's all the lovely bridesmaids!

And here's Brent and I.  We walked last, so in case Emily and Michael wouldn't walk by themselves, we were there.  Em freaked out at the last minute, so we ended up having to walk the kiddos down.  But they did great for the rest of the ceremony.  Michael did throw a little fit once he figured out that he didn't have the real rings on his pillow. :)  I can't wait to see the video of the wedding.

And here's me with Emily and Micheal.  I love my bitty siblings oh so much!  Em is starting First Grade and Michael will be in Kindergarten.  Time just always goes by so quickly.  My mini me is almost half my height, lol.  And I'm wearing heels!

I have more pictures posted on Facebook and they're public, so you don't need to have a Facebook account to see them.  Overall, it was a fabulous wedding and I'm really happy for my brother and SIL.  Hope you all have a great hump day!

Forever and Always Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Card

My brother Brien got married this weekend!  Brent, Michael, Emily, and I were all in the wedding.  Myra and Brien picked purple, silver, and black as their wedding colors.  I don't tend to use purple that much, but I thought my Plumeria paper would be perfect for this.

I was super excited to see a lot of my family and cousins!  I haven't seen most of them since my grandma's funeral, so it was nice to see them on a more joyous occasion.

I'll be back soon to share pictures of the special day.  I hope you all have a great Monday!  It's back to work for me!

Hi everyone and welcome to the first day of our August previews! Today we are excited to show you Cowboy Josh who comes with a darling sentiment that reads "HOWDY". All new stamps will be available to buy on Saturday, August 11, 2012.

My co-worker asked me to make her boyfriend and identical twin cowboy birthday cards.  Her boyfriend's brother's favorite color is burnt orange, so I pieced together some stuff from Pyrus and Archaic.  I love how it all came together!

Uptown Girls Victoria and Juliette's Night Out Birthday Wishes Card

It was my BFF's 30th birthday a couple weeks ago.  With me being so busy and her moving, I haven't mailed out her card yet.  I actually ended up starting over again on her card, since I didn't like the first version.  Though I wasn't able to see Catherine this year, I hope she had a fabulous time celebrating with her friends.

Can you believe it's been a whole year already?!?  Last summer I was attending CHA in Chicago and hanging out with Catherine and Katie.  My co-worker Tami and her best friend just recently moved away from each other.  Tami's friend was freaking out because she realized that if they only saw each other once a year, by the time they were 50, they'd only see each other 25 times.  This is us celebrating her 29th birthday.  Oh the fun memories, lol!

I never really thought about it that way until Tami brought it up.  Catherine and I have been apart since we graduated and moved out of the Sorority house.  It was actually my hardest move, since I was so use to her being there literally every moment.  Catherine has made some pretty life changing decisions this year and I really want to make the effort to go and see her.

Today I am heading down to Portland.  My brother is getting married this weekend and we have rehearsal tonight.  I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

With Deepest Sympathy Card and Goals

I know I've been MIA for quite awhile!  This is the first thing I've made in weeks!  Brent's car died a few weeks ago and we recently got him a new truck.  The last two weekends have been filled with my brother's wedding shower and Brent's family reunion.  I have new co-workers starting at work and so hopefully things are starting to swing up and calm down!

My co-worker lost her dad last week and this is the card I made for her.  Gracia's favorite color is pink, so I tried to use as much of it as I could.

I didn't have much time, so I opted to make a no coloring card.  One of my List of 30 goals was to make more scrappy cards and since my birthday, this is the second one I've made.  Not to shabby, since I honestly thought I wouldn't get pasted the first one, lol.

My friend Shaela is coming to visit me tomorrow, so I am excited to finally have a day dedicated to crafting and stamping!  I'm trying to get some special projects done for while I'm in Hawaii and can't wait to share them with you while I'm away.

It’s the beginning of the month and time to check in with my goals!  This month was really rough on me.  With Brent’s car dying on us, I had to share my car with Brent for 2 weeks.  Of course now we don’t work in the same building, so it was a long 2 weeks of dropping off/picking up and driving in opposite directions.

We also spent most evenings after work looking for a new truck for Brent.  We finally got his new truck last week, so I can get back to my own normal routine.  Not getting enough sleep and being extremely busy has been rough on me.
While all the craziness was going on, we also had my brother and STB SIL’s wedding shower and Brent’s family reunion.  With not being home 2 weekends in a row, I wasn’t able to pick up my Bountiful Baskets or coupon.  What I actually spent on groceries this month isn’t bad…but I lost one of my baskets since my friend ended up not being able to pick it up for me…and since we would car shop til about 8-9pm each night, Brent and I would just go out to dinner.  Overall, we’ve spent a TON of money this month, including the car.

The good news though is that we had planned to buy Brent a new car in September, when we got back from Hawaii.  So with that, we did already have the money to buy the car.  It just happened a couple months earlier and we weren’t prepared to share my car.

For July, I spent $102.68 on groceries and household products.  With store sales and coupons, I saved $138.13…which is a bit more than 57%.  Not bad…but not really that great either.
But I am happy to report that I am almost to $1,000 in savings!  I’m just $20 shy of reaching one of my List of 30 goals.  Since I’ve been keeping track of what I spend, my average is about $125 a month, with my goal at $150.  There have been months where I went over to stockpile and then others where I just didn’t buy as much.  I use to spend $300 a month and even with the added expense of the newspaper, I’ll be saving about $1500 for the year.

$150 x 12 = $1,800 + $300 (newspaper and coupons on eBay) = $2,100
$300 x 12 = $3,600
I mean, you could buy 300 Copic markers with $1,500...250 6x6 paper pads…162 Sparkle Creations stamps, lol.  That’s probably more than what some ladies even spend on crafty stuff in a year.

All right, everyone have a fabulous weekend and I'll be on Tuesday with my next challenge card!
