Mystery Monday CASEing Kimlayu and Project 29

First, I want to say thanks for all the blogger advice. At home I use Fire Fox and at work I can only use Internet Explorer. If things don't get better soon, I may try to switch to something else. I'm resistant, because a part of me feels like I shouldn't HAVE to change my browser to get my blog to work, lol.

So, I apologize for not commenting on blogs most of this week. Every time I've tried, it'll let me post once and then after that, it will kick me out and make me login again. I've read the blogger blog and I know it's a known issue...so I really hope it will get resolved soon! I appreciate all of the comments I get and I hope to be back to commenting soon as well!

Today we are CASEing Kimlayu, which is my buddy Kim!  Check our the Farm Fresh Challenge blog to see Kim's adorable card and more darling creations from the rest of the DT.

Paper: Basic Grey Sugared
Stamps: TGF DeeDee, sentiment is Impress

This is 150 sheets worth of rubber stamps sitting on my kitchen table!  I am so grateful to have such a supportive and helping husband.  Brent cut all of these stamps while watching NHL playoffs, lol.
I also hung out with my friend Suzanne, then with Cody and Kendall --- and I didn't take any pictures the whole weekend.  What was wrong with me, lol?!?  But I have some more fun pics to come for the end tail of this month!  I hope you all have a great Monday!  I'm so glad it's a holiday and I will be crafting!

Last weekend, most of my crafting group went to the stamp fair in Puyallup.  I had never been before and wanted to check it out.  I had a lot of fun with my friends, but decided it wasn't a show I would do in the future for Sparkle Creations.
I actually did pretty good...I only came home with 2 sets of nestabilitites, 3 stamps, and a pack of Asian print paper.  The thing I was most impressed with was how many people there were selling Copics.  And at a good price.  Copic prices are going up in August...so you all better hurry and shop now!  I hope you all have a great Monday...it's back to work for me.

Project 29 - April Layout

I put my first layout together and I love it!  If you know me well (old time CTMHers), you know that I use to scrapbook very traditionally.  So in regards to style, this is much more simple then anything I would normally make.

But I love how easy it is...and this is actually something I can get done in a short amount of time.  I can't wait to look back on this next year once my whole album is put together.  Below are some layouts that I did back in 2006-2007 when I still lived in Denver.  Click on them to view them much larger.  {Eek, I can't believe I'm sharing old work, lol.}

Pretty much the whole month of April, I celebrated my birthday, lol.  I ordered my picture from Walgreens and I love how they came out.  To print 8 photos, it's about $2 something...which is kindof spendy, but I didn't want to wait til the end of the year to print.  I know printing in quantity is cheaper, but I would never finish this thing if I did that, lol.

I belong to Scarlet Lime's Monthly Kit Club and each month's kit is what I will be using for that month's layout.  I desperately need a new date stamp!  I bought one years ago to do an altered decks of cards.  The only complete deck I ever did was in 2007 and I made a card 52 days in a row.

Though all of my cards are old and styles have changed so much...it's still one of my favorite projects that I've ever done.  Thanks Erica for giving me the inspiration to do this!

I now have black ink all over...and the most funny thing is that the date stamp only goes to 2012, lol.  I'm honestly surprised I even kept it this long in my closet!

If all goes well, I think I can learn to do a more simple style of scrapbooking.  But you know I won't be able to keep away from the stamps for long, lol.  I'm just proud of myself for using up my stuff!

Everyone have a great Saturday!  I will be mailing out orders and crafting with friends tonight!

Farm Fresh Friday - Summer Lovin'

This week's challenge is Summer lovin'!  Use bright colors, sun, surf, sand, whatever makes you think of summer, just make it hot.  Check out the Farm Fresh Challenge blog to see the rest of the DT's darling creations.

Doesn't this card just make you want to grab a popsicle?  Since it doesn't hot in Seattle til like August, lol, I'm excited to have hot weather in Chicago when I go to CHA.  That is definitely one thing that I really miss about Denver.  I also used this month's Sketch For You To Try

Paper: Basic Grey Lauderdale
Stamps: TGF Elena, sentiment is A Muse
Pearls, Copics, Nestabilitties, Prima Flowers, Felt, and Crystal Stickles

The FFF challenges runs until next Thursday and entries are due by 12 PM CST.  The winner will receive a free single TGF stamp of their choice!   Please upload your challenge cards to TGF Galleria> Farm Fresh Challenges 2011> Farm Fresh Fridays 2011> Summer Love.

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday!  It's almost the weekend!

For my birthday, my friend Shaela got me a rubber stamp with the Sparkle Creations logo on it!  I haven't had the chance to play with it yet, but I look forward to getting some use out of it.  I might just have to go out and buy me some new ink, lol.  Well, this is the thank you card that I made for Shaela.

Little Frieda and Lulu

I hardly get the opportunity to just make a card for fun, but I really wanted to play with this Little Frieda.  Coloring a whole scene seems to intimidate me, but I love how these bold colors came together.  And looks like we got a little sparkly diva out of Frieda, lol.  I also used Deconstructed Sketch #1 for this.

Paper: MME Lime Twist Out of the Blue
Stamps: The Craft's Meow, sentiment is PTI
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Rhinestones, Pearls, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a great hump day!  And don't forget about my Chirstmas Card Challenges DT call, which is the post right below this!
