Big Thanks with Putyourfeetupabella

I made this card awhile ago...but with DT commitments and my computer problems a couple of weeks ago, I never got to post it. I made this card from my friend Amy, who sent me some stamps and embellishments for my birthday.

I stamped and cut felt out for Bella's cute rug.  I paper pieced her darling polka-dot chair and I just love all the pink!  I also used Clean and Simple Sunday Challenge #10 for this.

Paper: MME Stella and Rose Gertie
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is A Muse
Prima Flowers, Felt, Pearls, Copics, EK Success Border Punch, Rhinestones, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a lovely Saturday!  Brent is working today, so I will crafting in a peaceful and quiet house!

SCRS Challenge #40 - Inspiration Challenge, My Blogging Anniversary, and Daffodil Charlotte Card

This week's challenge is an inspiration challenge.  Check out the SCRS blog to see the actual inspiration photo and the rest of the DT's darling creations!

Our challenge is open to all players. Each week a random winner will be chosen, and this week's winner will receive the adorable Swimming Lucy rubber stamp. In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations!

This was suppose to be a Mother's Day card for Brent's grandma...but I totally forgot until I was photographing it.  I tried to fix it...but it just wasn't working out.  So I gave up and guess I'll just have to make another one, lol.  I also used Eat Sleep Stamp Sketch #127 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Kioshi
Stamps: Sparkle Creations Daffodil Charlotte, sentiment is PTI
Pearls, Copics, and MS Butterfly Punch

To play along in our challenge, upload a photo of your project and provide a direct link in the linky widget at the bottom of the SCRS post. Today embarks a very special day for me.  While it's not technically my blog anniversary on Blogger, it's been exactly a decade since I started blogging.  Ten years to the day is when I opened my Live Journal account.

At that point in my life, I was a freshman in college.  I had just turned 19 and I hadn't even met Brent yet, lol. (I'd meet him just 3 months later.)  I apparently went to Old Navy and Gap, went to the mall with 3 friends, hung out with another friend, called an old friend, won concert tickets to see Ginuwine (still one of my favorite singers), and went to a party with yet another friend.  I so wish I still had the same kind of energy I had in college, lol.

But I love that I documented all the major points in my life.  When I still scrapbooked, it really helped to go back and read about every party, event, and thing I did.  Sorority events started to blur together, so when I did that album, it was especially helpful!

I will admit, since my wedding, I've been horrible at documenting my personal events.  I think it's because I stopped scrapbooking.  But with me doing Project 29, I hope to change that!  May the next decade be just as eventful!  I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday!

Mystery Monday CASEing The Paper Bug and Project 29

Today we are CASEing a darling card that was made by The Paper Bug.  Check out the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog to see The Paper Bug's card and the rest of the DT's darling creations!

I love how this all came together.  I struggle sometimes using this paper pack, but I just love Daisy in pink!

Paper: Basic Grey Curio
Stamps: TGF Daisy, sentiment is A Muse
Prima Flowers, BG Buttons, Twine, Copics, and Pearls

The Monday CASE contest runs until Sunday and entries are due by 12 PM CST.  The winner is chosen by random draw and will win a free TGF single stamp of their choice.  Please post your cards in the TGF Galleria - Home > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Mystery Mondays > ThePaperBug.

I promised to show all of my birthday cards.  My birthday is my favorite holiday and it's really the only time I get handmade cards...though I do get a few at Christmas time.  I actually cleaned and moved my plants just to take this picture on my kitchen island.

And while I know people don't believe me, I do appreciate all levels of art.  As long as the paper is cut straight, its glue together nicely, and no ink smears...that's all that really matters to me.  The fact people thought of me is all that matters.  The back row of non-crafty cards are from my college friends and my family.
I also went to dinner last weekend at the Crab Pot.  With all of my computer issues, I didn't get my photos edited in time to share today.  I'll be lumping that with next week's post.  I hope you all had a lovely Easter and hope you have a wonderful Monday!  It's back to work for me!

Mystery Monday (on Sunday) CASEing Stampcatwg

With all of my computer problems, I never got to post this on Monday.  But my card was WAY TOO cute to not post it, lol.  My in-laws just went to Hawaii for their 35 wedding anniversary.  I'm still planning on going for my 2nd 29th birthday, lol...so only 351 more days...

Paper: Basic Grey Sultry
Stamps: TGF Surfing Anya, sentiment is A Muse

Farm Fresh Friday - Digital Get Down

This week's challenge is to use a TGF digi!  Check out the Farm Fresh Challenge blog to see the rest of the DT's darling creations!

I decided to use Country Anya for this challenge.  I've had the new Labels 1 Small for almost a whole month now, lol...so I made myself get away from my lacey circles!  Though my card isn't square shape, I used Sweet Sketch Wednesday #97 for this.

Paper: MME Stella and Rose Mabel
Stamps: TGF, sentiment is A Muse
Twine, PTI Buttons, Prima Flowers, Nestabilities, Copics, and Pearls

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday!  It's almost the weekend!

SCRS Easter SALE

In honor of the holiday, I decided to have a little SALE. Everything in the store is 15% off and the sale will run through midnight on Sunday, April 24th.  Click here or above on the Sparkle Creations Store link to start shopping now!

Unfortunately, I am still sold out of Celebrating Chloe, Birthday Josh, and Cupid Emily. The good news is that I'll have a TON of them in 2 weeks.  With the tragedies in Japan and Aki having family there, we've been a little bit behind schedule.  I truly appreciate the patience!  I promise the May release will be worth it!

I'm also giving away a free stamp on the SCRS blog, so click here for a chance to win a free stamp!  I hope you all have a great Friday and I will be back soon with my Farm Fresh Friday card.

Stephanie's daughter had surgery earlier this week and I thought it would be fun to make Sabrina a card.  Sorry that you need sunglasses to look at my picture, but I just love the big bright pink flower!  I really wish Prima sold these in red...I also used Sweet Sunday Sketch #113 for this.

Which One Wednesday - Color Challenge: No Pink

Our WOW challenge this week is to not use pink! Check out the Farm Fresh Challenge blog to see the rest of the DT's darling creations.

My favorite color combo is pink and green, so I do tend to use a lot of pink.  But this is one of my favorite paper packs and knew right away I would want to use it for this challenge.

Stamps: TGF Dahlia, sentiment is A Muse
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Pearls, Copics, Nestabilities, and Crystal Stickles

The WOW challenge is open until next Tuesday and entries are due by 12 PM CST.  Please upload your challenge cards  to TGF Galleria > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Which One Wednesday > No Pink.  Remember you can use ANY TGF IMAGE!!  The winner will be chosen by random draw and will win a free TGF digi of choice!

Computer Woes and Project 29

Last Friday, my work laptop died.  :(  I've had that since I moved to the Corporate Office, so I was really sad to see it go.  IT pulled out my hard drive and stuck it into another computer.  It seemed to be okay, but as I was trying to get some manual stuff done, I noticed that my Photoshop wasn't working.  So, that is why I have been MIA all weekend and why I still don't have a card to share with you all today.

Luckily, I worked ahead, so I do have at least a photo to share with you.  I hope to get things fixed ASAP and hope to be back tomorrow with my next Sparkle Creations challenge card.

The second Saturday of each month is my when I hang out with my craft group.  It's been about a year and a half since we started this group on Splitcoast, and I'm truly blessed to have such a great crafty group of friends.

We normally stay at Julia's house all day, but since we were also celebrating my birthday - Suzanne, Yvonne, and I left early to go play Bingo at Muckleshoot Casino.  Unfortunately, none of us had our Muckleshoot Moment, but the Jackpot of $14,000 was won that night.
This was our first time ever playing, so now we finally understand how things work.  Since we were newbies and knew nothing, I almost feel like we need another Bingo experience, lol.  I really want a cool sparkly green dauber now!

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday...it's back to work for me.  Wish me luck on my computer issues!

SCRS Challenge #38 - Sketch Challenge and Chef Oliver Card

This week's challenge is a sketch challenge, made by our lovely Kim.  Don't forget to check out the SCRS blog to see the actual sketch and the rest of the DT's adorable creations!

Our challenge is open to all players. Each week a random winner will be chosen, and this week's winner will receive the adorable Sweet Treats Emily rubber stamp. In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations!

Who all watches America's Next Great Restaurant?  I really want Harvest Sol to do well, but that Asian chick is too closed minded.  I think she really needs to be more open to what the investors have to say.  Brent really likes Soul Daddy's...and though they had a really rough start, I think Grill Billies might win.  With my passion for this show, I decided to use Chef Oliver for this challenge!

Paper: I don't remember the brand, but I bought it at Scrapbook Nook
Stamps: Sparkle Creations Chef Oliver
CTMH Brads, PTI Buttons, and Copics

To play along in our challenge, upload a photo of your project and provide a direct link in the linky widget at the bottom of the SCRS post. If you use an online gallery (e.g. Splitcoast), please also use the Keywords SCRSC38 and SparkleCreations (no spaces). If you have a Facebook account and are a fan of Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, you can also upload there. Deadline for this week's challenge is Sunday, April 17th @ 9 PM PST.

In honor of Sparkle's 29th birthday, all orders over $29 (before shipping) will receive FREE SHIPPING! As a bonus, everyone who qualified for free shipping will be entered to win a $29 store credit! The sale is on now through the end of Sunday, April 17, 2011. The winner of the store credit will be announced on the SCRS blog on April 18. There is no coupon code, but please note that shipping will still appear on your invoice. If your order is over $29, Sparkle will manually refund your cost for shipping.

I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday.  I was really sad to see the red team leave Biggest Loser last week.  And such a sad way for Brett to leave the show with it being his first season...
