SCRS Challenge #32 - Punch It and Charlotte with a Rose Card

I know it seems like deja vu, but both of my challenges this week are to use punches!  Don't forget to check out the SCRS blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations.

Our challenge is open to all players. Each week a random winner will be chosen, and this week's winner will receive the adorable Street Corner Josh rubber stamp. In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations!

Instead of my typical flowers, I switched them out for butterflies.  I also paper pieced a few parts of her outfit and I love how it all came together.  I still need to work on my airbrushing a little bit more.  It looks a lot more blotchy in my picture then in real life.

Paper: MME, SU
Stamps: Sparkle Creations Charlotte with a Rose, sentiment is A Muse
MS Butterfly Punches, Pearls, and Copics

To play along in our challenge, upload a photo of your project and provide a direct link in the linky widget at the bottom of this post. If you use an online gallery (e.g. Splitcoast), please also use the Keyword SCRSC32. If you have a Facebook account and are a fan of Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, you can also upload there. Deadline for this week's challenge is Sunday, March 6 @ 9 PM PST.

I hope you all have a great Tuesday!  Though it's the 1st, I will be tomorrow with my goal updates.  And don't forget, Biggest Loser is on tonight!  Go, black, go!

Rin and Snowman Card and Christmas Card Challenge Week #13 - Punches

This week's challenge is punches.  Don't forget to check out the Christmas Card Challenge blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations!

I kindof cheated, lol.  I used my nestabilites.  I'm sure most of you thought for sure I'd have my classic snowflakes.  While most of my cards lean on the non-traditional side, every once in a while I love a red and green combo.  I also used Skipping Stones Design #65 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps: Sparkle Creations Rin and Snowman, sentiment is A Muse
Pearls, Copics, Twine, and PTI Buttons

I hope you all have a great Sunday!  We are still helping my BIL into his new place and I hope to get some crafting in.

Just Married Tiedtheknotabella Card

While I was at Corinna's, she let me play with her dies and I figured out how to make these paper flowers.  Honestly, I wish I would of made them with felt instead, lol.  Or next time I need to crumple my paper more to begin with.

I don't have a wedding to attend...but just thought it would be fun to play with this Bella and use up some paper.  As I anxiously await new Basic Grey paper, I do try to use up old stuff.

Paper: Basic Grey Capella
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Nestabilities, Copics, Pearls, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a lovely Saturday!  My in-laws are in town and Brent's older brother is moving into a new house!  I plan on working on a diaper cake for one of my co-workers.

Caffeine...a Girl's Best Friend

Being a coffee addict lover, I had to use this stamp when I was at my friend Corinna's.  She loves coffee as much as I do...and I officially want a Keurig.  But I already own 2 coffee makers, so the chance of me conning Brent into that, is slim to none, lol.

I started a mini album for my CHA trip and while I was at Scrapbook Nook, I decided to get some of the new My Minds Eye Stella and Rose paper.  I love that they're starting to make 6x6 pads.  I told KC at CHA that they should make ALL their lines 6x6!  I also used Get Sketchy #75 for this.

Paper: MME Stella and Rose Hazel
Stamps: MFT Miss You a Latte, sentiment is Kraftin' Kimmie
Copics, Nestabilities, Pearls, PTI Flower Dies, PTI Buttons, and Floss

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday!  It's almost the weekend!

By Lori Designs Challenge #6

Below is this week's color challenge.  Don't forget to check the BLD Challenge blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations.

I went through my paper and after trying to put together a few sketches, I just decided to go more simple.  This was hard for me, but I love the clean and straight lines on this.  You all have to be proud of me too, I {gasp} stamped in a different color ink besides black.  That's really rare for me nowadays, lol.

Paper: SU
Stamps: By Lori Designs Gracie, sentiment is A Muse
Prima Flowers, BG Buttons, CB Embossing, Copics, Rhinestones, MS Border Punch and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a great Thursday!  Grey's and Private Practice are on tonight!

Wishing You a Sparkling Holiday

Many of you have noticed already that I changed the look of my blog.  I signed up back in December for Designer Blogs to do a blog makeover for me.  My designer, Emily, just finished it before the holiday weekend and installed it while I was at work yesterday.  I absolutely love the work she did and this is something totally 'me.'  I went pretty simple, but you can add-on stuff later, so eventually, I'd like to get custom matching titles for my sidebar and a matching footer.

I'll admit...I'm an Anya girl.  Some of the Sprouts tug at my heart, but Anya is still my favorite.  I counted and I have 9 Christmas cards done.  I really should be closer to 26, lol, and this will be card #10.  I'm on my 2nd pad of Jovial paper, but I still have a ton of scraps from my first one.  I thought Sweet Sunday Sketch #105 would be perfect for using up scraps!

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps: TGF, sentiment is American Crafts
PTI Ribbon, Pearls, Copics, Crystal Stickles, Snowflake Punch, PTI Buttons, and Twine

Lastly, sorry that my post is late today.  Since I got my Ott Lite, I've been having a hard time taking pictures that I really like.  I figured out how to set my white balance on my camera and I'm one happy camper now!  Such a total difference!  I hope you all have a lovely hump day!

SCRS Challenge #31 - Boys Rule, Sponsoring CPS, and Surfing Oliver Card

This week's challenge is boys rule!  Don't forget to check out the SCRS blog to see the rest of the DT's darling creations.

Our challenge is open to all players. Each week a random winner will be chosen, and this week's winner will receive the adorable Turntable Josh rubber stamp. In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations!

We're also sponsoring Card Positioning Systems this week and we've combined our challenge with their sketch challenge.  If you also participating in CPS's challenge, you could have a chance at winning Charlotte with a Rose and Cocktail Emily!

Well, its still cold, grey, and wet in Seattle.  But with this cute little Ollie you can probably tell I am wishing for summer to be here.  I grew up in the Northwest, so I actually don't really mind the rain.  I just mind the COLD, lol.

Paper: My Minds Eye Fine and Dandy
Stamps: SCRS Surfing Oliver, sentiment is A Muse
PTI Buttons, Twine, Copics, CTMH Brads, and Rhinestones

To play along in our challenge, upload a photo of your project and provide a direct link in the linky widget at the bottom of the SCRS post. If you use an online gallery (e.g. Splitcoast), please also use the Keyword SCRSC31. If you have a Facebook account and are a fan of Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, you can also upload there. Deadline for this week's challenge is Sunday, February 27 @ 9 PM PST.

I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday!  Biggest Loser is on tonight!

Celebrate Today with Celebrating Chloe and Book Review: Persuader

First, I'm gonna do a little bit of housekeeping.  I have decided not to sell my cards anymore.  With my hopes to have my own booth at CHA next year, I want to be able to keep all of the extra cards I make.  I still have some contracted wedding cards that I will honor, but that will be it.  I really appreciate everyone who has supported me in my Etsy shop, my website, and my card box at my day job.

Wednesday is my friend Alanna's birthday and this is the card I made her.  I pre-colored this image before I knew what I was gonna use it for, so it doesn't look anything like Alanna at all.  But I still think Chloe came out darling!  I'm still working on that darker skin and not looking sunburned look, lol.

Paper: My Minds Eye Fine and Dandy
Stamps: SCRS Celebrating Chloe, sentiment is PTI
Nestabilities, Copics, Prima Flowers, Pearls, PTI Buttons, Rhinestones, and Crystal Stickles

I bought this book in the airport on my way to CHA.  Like the other Reacher novel book I've read, I didn't really like how the book ended, lol.  Overall, I loved the book though.  It was highly action packed, very suspenseful and I always wanted to know what would happen next.

A guy is illegally shipping guns and explosives in and out of the country.  The Feds kidnap this guy's son to get Reacher into their corrupted system and figure out what they're doing and to go save an undercover cop who went missing 8 weeks ago.

This is your typical murder mystery - thriller - suspense book. The reason why I didn't like how it ended, was because they don't really explain what happened to the cops who helped Reacher save the undercover cop.  It just ends with Reacher going onto his next destination.

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday...it's back to work for me, though most of you probably have today off!  Hawaii Five-O and Bachelor are on tonight.  I really want his date with Emily to go well...

Caroling Josh Card and 2011 Christmas Card Challenges Week #12 - Color Challenge

This week's challenge is a color challenge.  Don't forget to check out the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see the rest of the DT's love creations!

It's pretty obvious that I didn't do the color challenge, lol.  I was cleaning my craft room and found a stack of Christmas images that I colored and never made cards with.  So I figured I would use up one of them instead.  Though I love Rin...I secretly think this is my favorite image from my Christmas collection, lol.  I also used Limelight's Sketch #67 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps: SCRS Caroling Josh, sentiment is TGF
Twine, PTI Buttons, Copics, American Crafts Brads, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a great Sunday!  I plan to clean the house and hopefully make a few cards!

Hello Miss Execubella Card

This Bella actually reminds me a lot of my college days.  I still have my blue dish chair from my dorm room, though I must say that Bella's pink one is much cuter.  I bought the chair for $15 at Target the summer before I left to go to OSU.  I have hauled that thing around for the last decade and currently lives in our 'junk room,' lol.  I also used CPS #205 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Hopscotch
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is PTI
PTI Ribbon, Copics, Nestabilities, BG Chipboard, BG Brads, BG Buttons, and Twine

I use to do everything in that chair!  Homework, read, watch TV, straighten my hair...and my foot rest was a comfy matching bean bag.  Catherine would spend hours in my room with me - her on the bean bag and me in the chair, lol.  Oh the days and such great memories.  I'm so excited to see Catherine this summer.

Everyone have a great Saturday!  I will be shopping and hopefully being crafty!

Fabulous Miss Holiday Emily Card

Sorry today's post is late. I just got my OTT Lite yesterday and I really wanted to take pictures with it.  Sparkle Creations is sponsoring Corrosive Challenges this month and I wanted to play along with this week's sketch challenge.  I'm still not on track where I should be with my Christmas cards, so here is another one.

While I was at Corrina's a couple weeks ago, she taught me how to make these felt flowers.  Though it's super bulky, I love how it accents this card!  I always have such a hard time with 'coloring' white, but I really like how this card turned out!

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps: Sparkle Creations Holiday Emily, sentiment is PTI
Pearls, Crystal Stickles, Copics, Twine, PTI Buttons, Impress Felt

I hope you all have a great Friday!  I'm also giving away a free stamp today, so head over to the SCRS blog for a chance to win!  It's almost the weekend!

Below is this week's color challenge! Don't forget to check out the BLD Challenge blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely cards!

I'm not sure why my photo looks hot pink, lol, but I promise you in real life it looks much more closer to the challenge colors!  This is definitely a color combo I would of never picked myself, so I had a challenging time.  But overall, I'm pretty happy with my card.

In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations!

Though it's not anywhere close to fall, I just love this Charlotte and it's my favorite to paper piece.  Honestly, I don't think I've ever just colored her.  I hardly ever make shaped cards and I took another leap out of my comfort zone for this creation.  But overall I love how it turned out.

Love You Heart Balloon Riley Card

Happy Valentine's Day all!  Just a quick reminder that today is the last day of my Valentine's Day weekend SALE.  Use the code LOVE15 to get 15% off your order.  Click here to start shopping now.  You know you'd rather have some rubber than a dozen of roses, lol.

This is officially my last valentine and I don't have anyone to give it too.  But I just love and adore Riley!  Sadly, I've had this stamp over a year and this is the first time I've ever used it.  I've been out of black thread for weeks now and I really wish I had some to do the border around the circle.  Oh, well...I also used last week's Club Anya and Friends sketch for this.

Paper: Bo Bunny Crush
Stamps: Riley and Co, sentiment is PTI
American Crafts Brads, Copics, Nestabilities, PTI Ribbon, Rhinestones, and Crystal Stickles

Yesterday while Brent and I were eating lunch, Brent asked me what I wanted for my birthday.  My birthday isn't til April...so I was surprised he asked so early.  I told him about how I wanted the Project Life (count down til I'm 30) album and that he could buy that for me.

And his response to me was..."I can take totally random pictures of you.  In the morning when I say good bye to you and you get up to kiss me, you'll have the camera in your face instead.  I'll run by your office and just take a picture of you. (Brent and I work in the same building.)"  This is why I love my husband...he appreciates everything crafty I want to do.  And instead of thinking that I'm crazy, I love that he wants to participate!

I hope you all have a lovely Monday!  It's back to work to me and then a lovely Valentine's Day dinner out with Brent.  Bachelor and Hawaii Five-O are also on tonight!

I have some exciting news today as I made it on the By Lori Designs Challenge Team!  Below is this week's color challenge.  Don't forget to check out the BLD blog to see the rest of the DT's darling creations!

I haven't done a color challenges in so long and I'll admit that I'm rusty at it.  I've gotten so use to just using my matching paper packs and embellishments.  I gotta brush up on those mixing patterned paper skills, lol.  I'll even admit to you, it took me 3 tries to finally get a card out that I really loved.  Is using kraft paper for my base cheating?

We'll be celebrating two birthdays this weekend and I'm gonna give this card to my friend Cherie.  I also used this month's Sketch For You To Try for this.  I hope you all have a fabulous Thursday!  Grey's and Private Practice are on tonight!

A Warm Hello From Summer

Happy Friday everyone!  I've been trying to use neglected old stamps and I just love this Wild Sprout.  I've been kindof hoarding this paper pack and I really need to use more of it.  I think it'll be perfect for spring cards!  I also used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #102 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Marjolaine
Stamps: TGF, sentiment is A Muse
Prima Flowers, BG Buttons, Twine, Pearls, Copics, and BG Brads

I am going to my friend Corinna's house this weekend to scrap and play with some gals from There She Goes.  Though Corinna lives local to me, I've gotta be crazy for being gone for another crafty weekend, lol.  I hope you all have a lovely weekend as I won't be back til Tuesday with my next SCRS challenge.  Since I was sick and at CHA, I have not been crafty. :(
