SCRS Challenge #28 - It's a Girl Thing!, Suitcase Ruby Card, and more CHA Pictures

This week's challenge is it's a girl's thing!  Don't forget to check out the SCRS blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely designs!

Our challenge is open to all players. Each week a random winner will be chosen, and this week's winner will receive an adorable previously released SCRS rubber stamp. In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations!

When you think of girly, you probably think of something pink and floufy.  But since green is my favorite color, I had to go non-traditional.  This will be me, as I will be returning home today from CHA.  But I doubt I will looking as cute as Ruby when I get off the plane, lol!

Paper: Basic Grey Origins
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is PTI

To play along in our challenge, upload a photo of your project and provide a direct link in the linky widget at the bottom of the SCRS post. If you use an online gallery (e.g. Splitcoast), please also use the Keyword SCRSC28. If you have a Facebook account and are a fan of Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, you can also upload there. Deadline for this week's challenge is Sunday, February 6th @ 9 PM PST.

We got these darling hats from We R Memory Keepers and Jess and I thought it would be funny to do a thug picture, lol.  This is seriously my favorite picture from CHA!

And here's a 'normal' picture of us in our cute twinsies hats!

Hopefully Jessica and Emily don't hate me after this, lol...but we all went to dinner and they were being silly.  I just love these ladies.

Another big highlight to my day was meeting Joy for Our Craft Lounge!  I've been a fan of hers since she started Eclectic Paperie.  Joy is such a doll!

And I got to meet Pat!  We've been CTMH and blog friends for many years now!  She's such a sweetie and so glad we got to meet up!

I hope you all have a great Tuesday!  Biggest Loser is on tonight and I'll be hanging out with a couple of my crafty friends!

Sweet Sweet Anya and More CHA Pictures

When I first colored her, I smeared her eye {sigh}.  So then I decided to color her darker, lol.  She looked 'sun burnt' to me, LOL.  Then I decided to go even darker.  Overall, I think she turned out pretty cute.  I've been working on my hair feathering and it's coming along.  I think overall, I like the smooth coloring look better.  I also used Club Anya and Friends Saturday Sketch for this.

Paper: Bo Bunny Crush
Stamps: TGF, sentiment is A Muse
Rhinestones, Pearls, Prima Flowers, Copics, Nestabilities, Impress Felt, PTI Buttons, Floss, and MS Border Punch

Here's Shaela and I with Emily, da Bella queen herself!  We had a ton of fun making a darling Ketto card and I have a new love for Prisma Color pencils.

Here's Steph, Shaela, me, Kim, and Lisa.  Don't I have a lovely Design Team?  Miss you much Sem and Alice!

New Spellbinders Nesties!  I'm so excited for the new heart border ones.  They're just so cute!

New Prima flowers!  You know I couldn't get away without seeing the flowers!

Re-inkers at the Copic booth!  The 12 new colors are amazing!  I'm so excited for BG70!  Wahoo!

Thickers!  This is my other weakness, lol.  So glad we couldn't actually buy anything!

I'm still at CHA, so no show spoilers for me, lol.  I'll be looking forward to catching up on everything once I come home tomorrow!  I hope you all have a fabulous Monday and yeah for being on vacation {well, technically fun work, since this is for SCRS}!

Some CHA pictures

I don't have anything crafty today, but thought I would share some pictures from CHA!  I have a ton of product pictures, but since I don't have a lot of time, here are some of our big highlights from yesterday

The biggest highlight of my day is that I got to meet Kelly Purkey!  She's such a sweetie and darling!

Shaela and I made a fabulous necklace at the Tim Holtz booth and got our picture taken with him!  Such a nice guy!

Then we wondered off to The Greeting Farm booth and got to meet Jessica Diedrich!  Such a fabulous lady!

Here is a picture of Shaela, me, and Stephanie Kraft!  This is the first time I've met Steph and we had a great time eating lunch together.  We'll be meeting up again today to go see Lisa and Kim.

The Basic Grey booth was to die for!  You will all love the new collections!  They have the cutest new background stamps to match!  I'm so excited for these, lol.

Everyone have a fabulous Sunday and I will post more pictures later.  I wish you all could be here with me!

Love Cruisin' Chloe

Though I'm a Honda girl through and through, I've always thought that a lime green bug would really fit my personality, lol.  I just love this fun red and pink one that Chloe has.  I also used Skipping Stones Design #59 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Hopscotch
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is PTI
Copics, BG Chipboard Pieces, Pearls, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you're all having a fabulous Saturday!  Shaela and I will be treking from booth to booth!  {eta: I'm hoping to feel better and last all day!}  I hope to peek in later and show some CHA stuff!

Birthday Wishes Emily Jade

Today is Emily's 5th birthday and I'm missing it...but I can't lie, I'm so excited to be going to CHA.  Though I'm still sad and while CHA is totally not a valid reason to miss a big birthday, lol, I can't help but just be giddy!

***Brent will still be home, but I'm holding orders til I get back from CHA.  All orders will ship on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011.***

Em's favorite color is purple, so obviously I had to use it in her card.  I don't actually use purple very often, so this is one of the few paper packs that I have with purple in it.  If purple stays her favorite color, I may have to invest in more paper.  Oh, darn, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Wisteria
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is A Muse
Prima Flowers, Pearls, Copics, PTI Buttons, and Rhinestones

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday!  Though I'll be gone, I do have scheduled posts til I come back.  I probably won't be back to answering emails or blog commenting til next Wednesday.  If I get a chance, I hope to blog in real time and show you all some fun CHA goodies!

Birthday Wishes Kittycatabella Card

Today is my soon-to-be SIL's birthday and she works at the Humane Society.  My brother and her got a kitty cat and I got to meet her while I was home for Christmas.  I haven't used this Bella is for-evah, so I'm glad I had an excuse to dust it off.  Sorry this photo isn't the best, but since I already sent Myra's card, I can't take another photo.

Paper: Basic Grey Curio
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is PTI
Copics, Prima Flowers, Nestabilities, PTI Buttons, Twine, Pearls, and Crystal Stickles

I also used Card Patterns #98 for this.  I hope you all have a fabulous Thursday!  Grey's and Private Practice are on tonight!

29 Birthday Wishes from Celebrating Chloe and Using Up Paper

ETA:  As most of you know, I schedule my posts out in advance.  I just wanted to peep in and let you all know that I'm actually really sick with the flu and that I'll be holding any orders probably til Thursday.  Thanks for understanding and for the patience.

Today is my friend Shaela's birthday and I just have to say, yes it's her 'first' 29th birthday.  The plus side is that I will see her in 2 days!  She's going to be my companion at CHA and I'm so excited to gush over crafty stuff with her, lol.

I haven't played with my stash of felt in awhile, so I decided to make some matching flowers for my card.  I know it makes this card loud and busy, but I hope that Shaela will love it as much as I do.

Paper: Basic Grey June Bug
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is A Muse
CB Die Cuts, PTI Buttons, Impress Felt, Thickers, Floss, Copics, Rhinestones, Nestabilities, and Crystal Stickles

Lastly, another paper pack bites the dust, lol.  I must say that June Bug was one of my favorite paper packs with all of the bright and bold colors.  And because some have asked, I'll share about my paper.  FYI - I do throw away the teeny tiny bits that are left, lol.

I have a special bin just for all of my basic grey paper, lol.  And whenever I cut a piece of paper, I keep all the scraps in a clear 6x6 envelope.  Once I don't have any full 6x6 sheets left, I try really hard to work in my image coloring with these packs and get them out of there.

For example, here is the rest of what I have of the Wisteria pack (card coming Friday).  I'll try to mix and match backgrounds for card fronts and once I finish all the cards, the left over little bits go into my recycling bin.

I have a few paper packs left that I hope to use up soon!  Everyone have a great hump day!

SCRS Challenge #27 - Love is in the Air and Valentine Oliver Card

Today's challenge is a love theme. Don't forget to check out the SCRS blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations.

Our challenge is open to all players. Each week a random winner will be chosen, and this week's winner will receive the adorable Cruisin Chloe rubber stamp. In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations!

I just love this little guy, lol.  He's my favorite Oliver so far.  I couldn't decide if this would be more of a girlie card or a guy card...so I kept my embellishing to a minimum.  Ever since Christmas I've been on the black and red kick, so I love how the black pops off the red border.  And though this isn't a TGF card, I used the Club Anya and Friends Saturday Sketch for this.

Paper: Bo Bunny Crush

I hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday!  I'm excited for Biggest Loser.  Do you think the twins threw the weigh-in?

Close to My Heat Drucilla, Stamping Crop Photos, and Some Fun Photoshop Fun

Sorry, this is a hefty post for today.  Though demented and slightly crazy, this is my favorite Kraftin' Kimmie stamp ever. And you had to know that I wouldn't be able to resist using her this Valentine season. I like to think of Drucilla as my alter ego, lol. I also used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #99 for this.

Paper: Bo Bunny Crush

Pearls, Nestabilities, Prima Flowers, MS Border Punch, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

On Saturday night, my stamping group went to Impress's Stamp Night which is a crop from 6pm to midnight.  We had a really great time and I even got to meet Tiffany!  I'm excited to see her again this week at CHA, as she'll be working in a booth!

I took a much needed break on Friday from my edits and did a coloring tutorial in Photoshop.  I love that what I do in my day job helps me with Sparkle Creations.  (I create training manuals and e-learning for our company's loan products.)  I tinkered around and this is what I came up with.  I was so pleased with myself that I made it into a profile pic for my Fan Page on Facebook.

Blending and highlighting with my mouse is not anything like my Copics, lol...so it's something I'm definitely gonna have to practice!  It's super hard to move the mouse in really small motions.  I think it took me about 4 tries to get her cheeks.  Chloe has always been my favorite and I love her in SCRS colors!

I hope you all have a great Monday...it's back to work for me!  Don't forget, Bachelor is on tonight!  I was not very happy how Hawaii Five-O ended last night, lol.  Who do you think put back the $10 million?

2011 Christmas Card Challenge Week #8 - No Coloring

This week's challenge is no coloring!  Don't forget to check out the Christmas Card Challenge blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations!

As you all know I love my Copics, this is always a hard challenge for me.  I hardly scrapbook anymore, so I tend to use my scrapbook pieces on my cards.  I thought this snowman would be cute to work with.  I was actually really tempted to put googly eyes on him, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps: A Muse
Pearls and MS Border Punch

I hope you all have a great Sunday!  After I sleep in, I will be cleaning and crafting!
