SCRS Challenge #21 - Inspiration Challenge and Cafe Lucy Card

Today's challenge is an inspiration challenge. Don't forget to check out the SCRS blog to see the rest of the DT's love creations!

Our challenge is open to all players. Each week a random winner will be chosen, and this week's winner will receive the adorable Cruisin' Chloe rubber stamp. In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations!

Being a huge Friends fan, I was super excited when Steph picked this Centeral Perk picture as our inspiration challenge.  I own all 10 seasons on DVD and I remember the show ending during my junior year of college.  My whole sorority watched it together in our house basement.  I always appreciate it when the writers give the fans what they want and I know we're all happy that Ross and Rachel ended up back together!

Paper: Basic Grey Wander
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is Kraftin' Kimmie
BG Bloomers, Nestabilities, Copics, Crystal Stickles, and Pearls

To play along in our challenge, upload a photo of your project and provide a direct link in the linky widget at the bottom of the SCRS post. If you use an online gallery (e.g. Splitcoast), please also use the Keyword SCRSC21. If you have a Facebook account and are a fan of Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, you can also upload there. Deadline for this week's challenge is Sunday, December 5th @ 9 PM PST.

I hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday!  We're almost to the end of Biggest Loser!  I want Ada to make top 4!

Holly Jolly Christmas Nora Card

I'm not really sure how I feel about this card...I like the red and blue. This is an older SFYTT from a few weeks ago and maybe it's just all the different patterns that throw me off.  I borrowed these lacy circle nesties from my friend Yvonne...so that's why you've seen them on my cards for the last 3 days, lol.  I'm not sure when she'll want them back, so gotta use them while I can. :)

Paper: Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather
Stamps: CC Designs, sentiment is A Muse
Lacey Circle Nestabilities, CTMH Ribbon, Rhinestones, Copics, E Line Pearls, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a lovely Monday!  It's back to work for me...and I'm teaching a class this class.  I'm also excited for all of my shows to be back on this week!

Christmas Wishes from Christmas Tree Riley

I'm almost done with my Christmas cards and here's another one to add to the stack!  At first I wasn't too sure about this card, but once I got all the pieces, I think it came together nicely.  I also used Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try from last week for this card.

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps: Riley and Co, sentiment is Amuse

If you missed the big Black Friday sale for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, don't fret too much.  I decided to have all the stamps be 20% off for the rest of the weekend.  So hurry and get your orders in!

Today, I will be finishing up my Christmas shopping!  Then I can wrap them!  I can't wait to get my cards out either and then I'll really be done with Christmas. :)  Don't worry...I'm no scrooge, I love Christmas.  I just want to be done preparing for it, lol.

Christmas Sweeties - Ian

Here is Anya's darling other half!  I went through all of my Christmas cards and I realized that most of my cards have girl images.  I figured I better make more guy ones for Brent's friends, lol.  I also used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #101 for this and pretty much CASEd her card. :)  In the photo, it's really hard to see my sentiment, but it looks much better in real life.

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps: TGF, sentiment is PTI
PTI Ribbon, PTI Buttons, Twine, Copics, Liquid Applique, Nestabilities, and American Crafts Brads

I hope you're all having a great Thanksgiving!  I'll be crafting and looking at the ads!  Don't forget, my SALE at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps starts at midnight EST!

Wishing You a Flurry of Fun! Daisyboardabella Card and Shopping

Because of the snow and ice, I was home all day yesterday. I had a really productive day, as I got 9 Christmas cards done.  But Brent and I are going to try to get to work today, so hopefully the roads will be better!

I also wanted to let you all know that Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps is having a huge Black Friday SALE.  All the stamps in the store will be $5, which is almost 40% off. The sale will run midnight EST on Friday, November 26th until 6pm EST. The sale will be first come, first serve - so make sure to put your order in early! Once a stamp is sold out, it will be done for the sale. Sorry, no rain checks!

Paper: Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Labels 4 Nestabilities, Copics, Rhinestones, CTMH Ribbon, MS Border Punch, and Crystal Stickles

Lookie at what just came in the mail yesterday!  I had this set custom made on Etsy at Gypsyrosehandbags.  I know, I know - it's not green...and it doesn't have a spec of green on it, lol.  I had a hard time picking between this pattern and one of the Amy Butler's chartreuse patterns.  But I'm happy I picked the aqua.

I'm planning on getting my DSLR camera on Black Friday, so I'm super excited to already have all of my cute accessories!  If you don't remember...it was my 5 year anniversary at the Managers Conference and I'm using my reward bonus to buy the new Cannon Rebel t2i.  Don't worry...I'm not only shopping for myself, lol, I will still be doing my normal Christmas shopping!

Alright...everyone have a fabulous hump day!  I can't wait to start cooking for the big turkey day!

In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations!

I almost always use kraft paper as my card bases, so this was a pretty easy challenge for me.  I'm still trying to get as many Christmas cards done by the 1st.  Wish me luck, lol.  I also used Sweet Sunday Sketch #94 for this and my new Nesties, Labels 15.

Christmas Sweeties Anya Card

I colored this image a month ago...and my BG72 pen ran out of ink.  The slacker I am, I still haven't bought a re-inker for it, lol.  Guess I'm lucky that I colored all of my images before hand.  Or I may just have to switch to another paper pack, lol.  I also used the Club Anya and Friends Sketch from last Saturday for this.

Happy Holidays Riley with Snowman

Oh, my...have you seen the new Rileys that just released yesterday?!?  They are just darling and I so need them!  I think they'll make darling tags for my gifts next year.  Is it sad that Christmas hasn't happened yet and I'll already thinking of 2011, lol?

I get asked this alot, but the main reason why I make so many Christmas cards is because I have a huge family!  My dad is the oldest child in his family and he still has 10 living siblings.  At my grandma's funeral last summer, we counted 42 cousins in MY generation.  Yikes!?!  And the Bliatout rule has always been ALL or NONE.  (And yes, I know my Aunts compare what I send what to, etc. - is it an Asian thing?)  On top of that, Brent and I still have co-workers, friends and not to mention the Smith family too, lol.

Paper: Memory Box Tinsel
Stamps: Riley and Co, sentiment is Savvy Stamps, border is PTI Vintage Labels
Marvy Snowflake Punch, PTI Buttons, Twine, Crystal Stickles, Labels 1 Nestabilities, Rhinestones, and Copics

A few years back, I actually considered not making cards for everyone anymore...but at my wedding (2 years ago), almost all of my family said to me, "We always love the cards you make and send to us.  We keep all of them!"  So, yeah...I'm a sucker, lol...but happy to have the validation that my efforts are valued.

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday!  It's almost the weekend!

Holiday Wishes Jinglebellabella Card

I'm still working on my Christmas cards and even though this is more of a simple design for me, I was able to crank out 3 of these!  So confession time...I'm already on Jovial paper pack #2.  They ran out at CKC and then when I went to Impress, there were only 2 pads left.  I really should of just bought 2 to begin with, lol.  Last year I went through 2 1/2 packs of Eskimo Kisses.

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is PTI
Rhinestones, Copics, Snowflake Punch, PTI Buttons, Twine, and Crystal Stickles

Everyone have a fabulous Thursday!  I'm excited for Grey's and Private Practice!

In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations!

While I know you wouldn't typically use Cupcake Ruby to make a Thank you card, it was just easier for me to combine the 2 challenges together.  Plus, who wouldn't want a cupcake as a thank you?  I think you could really get far with that, lol.

Manager Conference Photos

Sorry, there's nothing crafty today...and there probably won't be until we start sneak peeks at the end of this week.  I'm training a class this week so I'll still be really busy this week!

I had a fabulous time at the Managers Conference this last weekend.  It's always so exciting to see what theme they come up with each year and this year they did a circus theme.  It was fun to have a mini carnival and get to spend time with everyone.  Since they had balloon clowns there, my friends and I thought it would be fun to get balloon hats!

Here's me with our San Diego, Las Vegas, and Vancouver, BC Regional Trainers.  Our department is just too much fun!  And did you noticed?  We're all wearing grey suits, lol.  Totally didn't plan that!

Since Brent and I work in different departments, we never get to sit at dinner together.  I told him he only had to take pictures with me at the beginning and then he wouldn't have to hang out with me for the rest of the night, lol.  He calls me the picture Nazi, since I have to make sure it's perfect and of course we took like 20 pictures. :)  The fun part was that they even had photo booths there and we did a couple rounds of those too.

This is my whole Training Department.  I'm so happy to be welcoming Rochelle, Matt, and Tami into the department, but I did wish for a moment that Josh had been there.  If you don't remember (which I don't expect anyone to), he moved to Washington, DC in September.

This is the Colorado management team and my old crew!  3 of these managers were Tellers that I trained while I was still in Denver and they're my proud Mama moments, lol.  Can you believe it's been 3 years already?!?  I really do miss Denver at times...

Well, I hope you all have a fabulous Monday!  It's back to work for me!  I will be back later this week and Hawaii 5-0 is on tonight!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...and Rin and Snowman Card

and it's not Christmas, lol!  It's Manager Conference time for my day job and this year is especially special to me, as I will receive my 5 years of service award and bonus!  Plus, I get an extra week of vacation, wahoo!  This has been my only job since I graduated from college, and looking back, I would of never guessed that this is where I would be.  But I'm really proud of what I've been able to do, as I started as the youngest Regional Trainer and am very happy to be at the Corporate Office now.

I'm trying to use up my 'already' colored images and here's another Christmas card to add to the stack.  This Rin is absolutely my favorite of the Christmas collection.  I also had a mini craft crisis and had to do some stamping surgery, lol.  While altering my sentiment, I tore a bit of the mounting foam.  But some liquid glass came to my rescue!  I swear you can use that stuff to glue anything together!

Paper: Basic Grey Jovial
Stamps: Sparkle Creations, sentiment is Amuse
Nestabilities, Copics, Snowflake Punches, Crystal Stickles, PTI Buttons, Twine, Rhinestones, Crystal Stickles, and MS Border Punch

Even though I don't haven't a technique to share with you today, I am still doing Freebie Friday on the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps blog.  Don't forget to comment there to enter to win a free stamp!

I will be away from blog land for the weekend.  All orders placed in the store will ship out on Monday, Nov 8th.  I will return emails and get back to commenting then as well.  I'm so excited to see all the Trainers and the Managers from Colorado!  Since my team is remote (all living in their respective states and provinces) it's really the only time we're all together.

Last year some of you may remember that my department won Department of the Year!  Of course we'll be passing on the torch, but none the less, I'm excited to see who wins this year.  I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and I'll be back with our annual formal pics.  My dress this year is hot pink and we got Brent a matching tie.  We'll be the cutest couple there, lol.
