Farm Fresh Friday - Goodnight Goth

Today's challenge is an inspiration challenge, Goodnight Goth. Check out the Greeting Farm blog to see the Gothic bedroom set picture and the rest of the DT's lovely creations.

Well, since all of the Critter Crew images are all so cute...I found this challenge quite hard, lol. But I went with it and yes, my card is still darling. :) Oh, well, goth isn't really my style anyways. I also used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #66.

Paper: Basic Grey Eerie
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, Nestabilities, PTI Buttons, and Twine

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday! It's almost the weekend! I plan on stamping!

La-Land Weekly Wednesday Challenge #36

This week's challenge is altered embellishments. Take a store bought embellishment, and change it in some way! For example, you can cut a petal off a flower to make a butterfly, sew a running stitch through some ribbon and gather to make a ruffle, take any embellishment and color it with paints/inks/markers, etc.

So...I guess I didn't really alter any of my embellishments, lol, but I did combine them and dressed up my flowers a bit. I am still working on getting my airbrushing even, so I had to laugh at myself, since I got some of her hair a little pink.

Paper: My Minds Eye
Stamps: La-la Land Crafts, sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, CTMH Buttons, Pearls, Copics, and EK Success Border Punch

Don't forget to check out the La-la Land Crafts blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations. Also, this week's special is Birthday Cake Maya. She will be 20% off in the store this week. I hope you all have a great hump day! I will be back on Friday for Farm Fresh Friday!

Gossipabella Here's the Scoop! Card

I packed all my stuff to go running yesterday after work, but once I got to work, I saw that I forgot my shoes. Next thing I get is an email from the front desk saying that my UPS package is here...you know what that means? I went home to play with my new Bellas, lol.

While this is not a new Bella...she's one of my newest favorites. I made this card last week and finally just got her off my craft table. I also used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #65.

Paper: Basic Grey Ambrosia
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, PTI Buttons, Crystal Stickles, and Rhinestones

I hope you all have a great Tuesday! I'm excited for Idol and Biggest Loser!

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #21

This week's challenge is Pink Christmas! Use the color pink in your card. Don't forget to check out the Christmas Card Challenge blog to see the rest of the DT's fabulous cards.

Okay...so my card is a tad bit more red, lol. But I love pink and red together. Plus, these are the scraps of paper that I have left...so just gotta go with it. I also used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #70 for this.

Paper: Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Snowflake Punch, PTI Buttons, Crystal Stickles, Copics, CB Embossing, Rhinestones, and CTMH Ribbon

Everyone have a fabulous Sunday! I will be cleaning the house and grocery shopping. Maybe a little bit of laundry, lol.

Raise the Bar Challenge #15 - Color Me Happy

This week's challenge is Color Me Happy! Use your favorite color! Don't forget to check out the Raise the Bar Challenge blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely cards!

Okay, I broke the rules on this one...I think I was suppose to make a monochromatic card and I didn't, lol. So this isn't a good example for this challenge...but Kiwi Kiss is my favorite color. I'm also very excited to be getting Baja Breeze back. :) This started out as Flutter by Wednesday #106, but is a little altered.

Paper: SU
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, Crystal Stickles, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Rhinestones, and Thickers

I decided to do something different with the numbers. I like it, but then a part of me thinks other people will think it's weird, lol. What do you think? I won't be offended either way.

Everyone have a fabulous weekend! I will be cleaning and organizing. I can't wait to get this done so I can paint my room! I have a stack of goodies building up, so I promise to do blog candy soon.

Farm Fresh Friday - Going Green

This week's challenge is Going Green! In honor of Earth Day being the day before, celebrate Going Green all weekend with TGF. Use the color green, recycled products, grass...whatever you feel gets your green on! Don't forget to check out the TGF blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations!

Paper: Basic Grey Nook and Pantry
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
CTMH Brads, Copics, Nestabilities, PTI Ribbon, Rhinestones, and EK Success Border Punch

I decided to do something different...because since green is my favorite color, I tend to use the same green paper. I don't typically pair up orange and green together, but I love how my card came out!

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday! It's almost the weekend!

My Many Hats

Lately, I've been trying to juggle many hats, and I have finally decided that for the next couple of months, I will only be posting my DT work. Which is still 4 days of the week, (and more when TGF does their releases) so I don't think you all will miss me that much, lol.

I am diligently working on some of my projects and am very excited to be able to share with you all soon. During this time I also plan on getting a new computer, which will make things a little bit easier.

I have wiped my computer twice and have spent many hours with Dell...but it keeps freezing. I never know when it will freeze, so I try to race and comment on blogs as much as I can until it does, lol. I guess it's kindof become a game for me. This computer is 4 years old...so it's had a good life.

Once I get all of these things done, I promise to go back to blogging full time. I hope you all will hang in there with me and I do truly appreciate all the time you take to peak at my blog. I will still be around too...so you can always email me and I will still be commenting as much as I can.

I will be back tomorrow with my card for Farm Fresh Friday. Everyone have a great Thursday! Yeah for Grey's and Private Practice.

Happy Birthday Bella Style with Partygirlabella

Out of all the cards I made for Michelle's birthday, this one is my favorite. And yes, this Bella has a shirt. :) I haven't used my June bug paper in forever and I forgot how much I actually love this pack. And by the way, I think Yvonne is going to buy all the cards I made. I seem to have that effect, lol. Maybe I shouldn't give people choices...

Paper: Basic Grey June Bug
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Thickers, Copics, Prima Flowers, CTMH Button, EK Sucess Border Punch, and Crystal Stickles

I found out that I won a prize from Impress, since we got raffle tickets for every $25 we spent during the sale. I guess it paid off to go twice, lol. I got a set of card bases, an ink pad, a border stamp, and a chandelier stamp. Not too shabby...everyone have a fabulous hump day!

My Creepy Flutter Cake

I did something that I rarely do anymore...I made a card with no reason and no purpose. I've had these creepy cake images since they released and I'm finally getting around to playing with them. I started with Unscripted Sketch #51, but it got a little altered to fit my stuff.

Paper: Basic Grey Eerie
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is A muse
American Crafts Brads, Nestabilities, MS Butterfly Punches, Crystal Stickles, and Copics

So on Sunday, I started cleaning out my craft room. I am slowly getting ready to paint! :) And getting ready to add more storage for my room. I'm even considering putting another desk in there, lol, but we shall see. I want a computer...

I sorted through all my SU paper and took out all the colors that will be retiring. It was nice to take out most of my hiding In Color stash out, but I'm still sad Kiwi Kiss is not returning. I haven't sorted through my cardstock since I moved into the house and between CTMH, SU, and PTI, I have alot of cardstock! So how do you all feel about the new color system?

I hope you all have a wonderful day. Excited for Idol and Biggest Loser. My man needs to step it up, lol. Sam didn't lose any weight at all last week!

Stamping Anya and My Bucket List

My big sis Shannon, from my sorority, got me a Starbucks gift card for my birthday and I made this thank you card for her. Though it's been 2 weeks since my birthday, I finally got movin' and finished all of my thank you cards. I will be mailing the rest of them today.

I have just enough paper to make one more card with this Lollipop paper. I am sad, but happy to be using up stuff. I will need to remember to get more Sassafras paper in the future. I also used Sketch Girl #16 for this.

Paper: Sassafras Lollipop
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
CTMH Brads, MS Butterfly Punch, Rhinestones, and Glitter

I've been following Kelly Purkey for awhile now. If you don't know who she is, she works for American Crafts and is now also teaching classes for Creating Keepsakes. I truly regret never going to CKC when Ali Edwards was still around.

Ironically, Kelly is only 2 weeks older than I. :) Each year she makes a list of things she would like to have accomplished by her next birthday. I really considered doing one...but then thought that adding 28 more things to my goals and resolutions seemed really quite crazy, lol.

But the more I thought about it...I thought why not at least share my bucket list. It might be fun to see at each birthday what I've been able to do that past year. Some of these are things that I've always wanted to do, even as a child. I'm sure I will continue to add to this list too. At 28, I am happy to cross off a couple of things.

Visit China
Visit Laos
Visit all 50 states
Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Illinois, West Virgina, Virgina
Visit Europe
Go to the Olympics
Go to every Disney park
Disneyland, Disneyland Paris
Get published in a magazine
Get my Masters degree
Create all day, every day

What are some of the things on your bucket list? Everyone have a fabulous Monday! It's back to work for me!

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #20

I know I've been a slacker on my Christmas cards. I did finish my card from last week, so I have two cards for you today. Don't forget to check out the Christmas Card Challenge blog to see the rest of the lovely DT's cards.

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse

MS Punch, Nestabilitles, Copics, Snowflake Punch, CTMH Brads, PTI Buttons and Crystal Stickles

Last week's challenge was a sketch challenge and this week's challenge is to use a digi stamp. I was excited to get new Nestabilities at Impress, so I actually made something with them right away.

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Rhinestones, CB Embossing, Copics, Snowflake Punch, PTI Buttons, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a great Sunday. Brent and I will be cleaning and running errands. We're still having major computer issues...so I may be tardy in posting comments this weekend. I think it's to the point where we just need a new computer. We shall see...

Raise the Bar Challenge #14 - Movie Mania

This week's challenge is Movie Mania! Create a card based on one of your favorite movies. Don't forget to check out the Raise the Bar blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely cards!

First, New Moon isn't really my favorite movie, lol. Love Actually is...but I made this card for someone who just loves the whole Twilight Saga.

And before you all freak out on me about my flower...I will explain. I first bought Twilight and New Moon in paperbacks...but then had to buy Eclipse and Breaking Dawn in hardback. Well, you and the world know that I can't stand things that don't match, lol. So I now own all 4 in hardback...so yes, I sacrificed my New Moon paperback to make flowers.

Paper: Basic Grey Boxer
Stamps: The Greeting Farm
CTMH Brads, Rhinestones, Crystal Stickles, Copics, Twine, CTMH Buttons, and Nestabilities

I am so excited! I saw on Marianne's blog that she is going to be here in Seattle for the opening of a new art supply store. It's called Blick Art and they sell all the Copic refills! This is glorious for me...so when my marker runs dry I don't have to pout and wait a week for the mail man! :)
Everyone have a fabulous weekend! I'm getting my hair done today! It's one of my favorite things! So relaxing! :)

Farm Fresh Friday - Sketch Challenge

This week's challenge is a sketch challenge! Don't forget to check out the Greeting Farm blog to see the actual sketch and the rest of the DT's lovely creations.

I'm still learning how to use my airbrushing system. This is my first attempt at doing a sky with clouds. Not bad...but not fantastic either. I was a bit crazy as I didn't mask my little guy at all, lol. Just went for it and hoped for the best. :) I used B12 for this and like how it turned out. I just need to work on spraying more evenly.

Paper: Basic Grey Offbeat
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
CTMH Brads, Copics, Twine, and PTI Buttons

I hope you all have a great Friday! It's pay day and I'll be making my second trip to Impress Rubber Stamps today. All weekend sales are bad...lol. Yeah, it's almost the weekend!

Naughty Cakeabella?

This is my most used Bella...as I love the "cake" but it has always bothered me that she isn't wearing a shirt, lol. While crafting with the South Sound Stampers last weekend, we had a full discussion about Bella wearing her birthday suit, lol. Regardless, I still love my Bella. And guess what, new Bellas are out today! :)

I made the base for this card when I first got my kioshi paper weeks ago. I'm glad to finally use it and I airbrushed the background a light blue. This is also another card I made for my co-worker's daughter's birthday. She had asked me to put "30" on it, so all of them will have it. I hoard my Thickers so much, it's good to use them up. Repeat that to me again, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Kioshi
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Nestabilities, Copics, CTMH Brads, Crystal Stickles, Liquid Applique, Prima Flowers, and PTI Buttons

Everyone have a fabulous Thursday! It'll be a sweet night of crafting goodies and looking forward to Grey's and Private Practice!

TGF Critter Crew Sneak Peaks

*This is my second post for today. Please scroll down to see my La-la Land Crafts release and challenge post.*

The Greeting Farm is releasing new Critter Crew digi stamps tomorrow and here is a sneak peak of the mom and son chipmunks. I also used Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #108 for my card. It's been awhile since I've made a square card, but it worked out well for this image.

Check out other Critter Crew sneak peeks on Sandra's, Heather's, and Jami's blogs.

Paper: Basic Grey Origins
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Rhinestones, and Copics

Also today the TGF Scrapbooking Team is having their first blog hop. The Spotlight kit also comes out tomorrow and check out the Greeting Farm blog for all the details.

Everyone have a fabulous Wednesday and good luck to all the teams that made it into Round 4 of the Royal Battle!

Release Day and La-land Weekly Wednesday Challenge #34

Today is release day at La-la Land Crafts. Don't forget to check out the La-la Land Craft's blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations. Sorry I never got a sneak peek up yesterday...but at least I have the full deal for ya today! I also used Card Patterns #59 for this card.

Paper: Basic Grey Porcelain
Stamps: La-la Land Crafts
CTMH Brads, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Copics, and Rhinestones

Also, this week's challenge is to use scraps on your card. Though it doesn't look like I really used scraps, you all know that I'm working on using up the rest of my old Basic Grey paper. I thought this piece from my Porcelain pack was just right to go with Rosie. I still have almost a full half pack left of this set.

Everyone have a fabulous hump day! And for you locals...Impress is having a huge sale tomorrow through Sunday. Everything in the store is 20% off!

My Sweet Little Dee Dee

I actually colored this little cutie to go with my Eva paper. I ruined my last little bit of paper and finally decided to use my Kioshi paper. I just love her cute little do. I also used Club Anya and Friends Sketch #14.

Paper: Basic Grey Kioshi
Stamps: The Greeting Farm
Nestabilitles, Rhinestones, CTMH Buttons, Copics, Dew Drops, and Crystal Stickles

Everyone have a great Tuesday! I'm excited for Biggest Loser and Idol tonight!

Wanna a Cookie?

One of my co-worker's daughter is turning 30 this year. She asked me to make her a card...so I decided I would make a few and then she can pick which one she likes the best. I'm really happy to say that I finally used up all of my Eva paper. Another paper pack bites the dust, lol.

Though the dark panel looks black, it's really dark purple. I colored her dress really pale pink and then made polka dots with the blender pen. It looks much better in real life, as the pink doesn't look so washed out. I also used Unscripted Sketch #49.

Paper: Basic Grey Eva
Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie, sentiment is Amuse
American Crafts Thickers, Copics, Nestabilities, Crystal Stickles, Rhinestones, Prima Flowers, and PTI Buttons

Sorry I never got a Christmas card up yesterday. I did finally finish it...but will post it another day. I got a lot done this weekend, so I will have lots to share this week. :)

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday! It's back to work for me...

Raise the Bar Challenge #13 - Let's Spring For It

This week's challenge is Let's Spring For It! Make a spring card with lots of flowers and happy colors. Don't forget to check out the Raise the Bar blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely cards!

I'm slowly making my thank you cards for my birthday gifts. As you can see, I haven't been doing that well, lol. But better a little late than never I suppose. My friend Yvonne's favorite color is purple, so I made this for her.

Paper: Basic Grey Eva
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, Copics, CTMH Bigger Brads, Dew Drops, CTMH Ribbon, Basic Grey Buttons, Twine, Crystal Stickles and Nestabilities

Today I'll be crafting with the South Sound Stampers. I hope to get lots of coloring done so I can come home and whip out some lovely cards. Here's to trying to get all of my posts done on time for next week...

Everyone have a fabulous weekend! I know Brent will enjoy having the house to himself today, lol.

Farm Fresh Friday - Spring Cleaning

This week's challenge is Spring Cleaning! Use something you either found but forgot you had, or were going to throw out...but decided to use it for this challenge. :) Don't forget to check out the Greeting Farm blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations!

I don't always buy all of the matching embellishments when I buy the Basic Grey paper packs. I totally forgot that Kelly had sent me some Basic Grey brads in December and decided that they matched my card. I also used Sketch Girl #15 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Green at Heart
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Rhinestones, Copics, Basic Grey Bloomers, and Basic Grey Brads

I distressed my card with Old Olive ink, so sorry my photo looks so dark. I originally colored Laurie to match my Marrakech paper...but ran out of paper before I got to her. :) Had to find some other orange paper to match her.

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday! It's almost the weekend!

Sparkle Callilope Ketto ATC

Don't you hate it when you're getting ready to do your post early...and you realize you forgot your USB cable?!?

For the Stamping Bella blog hop in December...Randi made these darling ATCs and then made cards out of them. I jumped up and down and had to know where she got the strips that said "sparkle" on them. She was so sweet to send me some and I've been hoarding them, lol.

Though my photo is quite large...remember that Artist Trading Cards are only 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches in size. So this card is actually quite small. Now, this is nowhere as neat as the ATCs Randi made, but I absolutely love the simplicity of it.

Paper: Basic Grey Marrakech
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Copics, Rhinestones, PTI Buttons, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a fabulous Thursday! As of yesterday night, I was 2 weeks behind on my shows...and now we have re-runs tonight, lol. At least I'm caught up now with Grey's and Private Practice.

TGF Royal Battle Week #2

*This is my second post for today. Please scroll down to see my La-land Weekly Wednesday Challenge #33.*

Sorry for being such a slacker with my posts this week...but I'm getting back on track! The second challenge was to make a easel card and I volunteered to make this week's card for my team. We're a DT team, so you're not allowed to vote for us...we're just playing for fun. :)

While cleaning out my craft room, I found this fun flower that I saved from one of my Bath and Body Works baskets from years ago. I knew instantly I wanted to pair it up with Charlotte. I don't use purple very often, but love the boldness of my card.

Paper: Basic Grey Wisteria
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Twine, Copic, Pearls, Basic Grey Buttons, and Friskars Border Punch

The new challenge for week 3 is up now...so good luck to the remaining teams!

La-land Weekly Wednesday Challenge #33

Today's challenge is a sketch challenge! Don't forget to check out the La-la Land Craft blog to see the sketch itself and the rest of the DT's lovely creations. This week's special is Cupcake Rosie and she'll be 20% off this week!

Irina was sweet enough to send me additional images with my Guest Designer pack and I've actually have had her colored for weeks now. You can tell I'm just down to scraps with this paper pack, but the sketch worked out really well for it.

Paper: Basic Grey Indian Summer
Stamps: La-la Land Crafts, sentiment is Amuse
CTMH Brads, Nestabilities, Copics, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Twine, Rhinestones, and PTI Ribbon

I hope you all have a great hump day!

Scouts Honor Cute Troop Card

My In-laws got invited to a Boy Scout Eagle Court of Honor ceremony for some of their cousin's children. Since the event is in Texas and they can't attend, my MIL asked me to make some cards. I am excited to finally have a true purpose for Scout Ian. If he didn't have his scarf, wouldn't he look like an UPS man? :) I also used Club Anya and Friends Sketch #13.

Thank you for all the birthday love yesterday! I really appreciate all the comments, cards, and gifts! And a special thanks to the Lala Land Crafts DT for doing a birthday blog hop for me! I will eventually post all my goodies, but I know some stuff is still trickling in. Even my dad called me yesterday to tell me that my gift was coming late.

Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: The Greeting Farm
K&Co Boy Scout Stickers, Copics, PTI Buttons, Nestabilities, and Twine

At work on Friday, I was surprised with balloons, flowers, and cake from Yvonne and Tricia. My department also got me a cheesecake and a $25 gift card to Michael's! Then on Saturday, it was a full day of fun and errands with some friends. I even got to go to Ben Franklin's and Impress (scrap and stamp stores). Then we ended our day with a yummy dinner at the Melting Pot.

I took off my birthday, but Brent didn't and this was his Saturday to work. So that meant we had to celebrate on Easter. Which was fine, but since it was a holiday, we just had an "us" day. Brent didn't believe me that Easter is a major holiday! I told him that all we'd be able to do is eat Chinese food and go to the movies. He still tried to go the mall and it was closed, lol.

We went downtown and ate Dim Sum at Jade Garden. It was really yummy and the place was packed. Then we went to go watch Alice in Wonderland. Please don't throw tomatoes at me, but I didn't like it. I'm a more classic type of gal I suppose. Brent now demands that we have a hedge in the shape of his head like the Queen of Hearts had, lol. I truly appreciate all the love and time you've taken to make me feel special on my birthday!

I'm finally all caught up and I was so scared that Sam was gonna get kicked off last week on Biggest Loser. But Crystal is doing great on Idol...so I'm excited for my shows tonight! Everyone have a great Tuesday...it's back to work for me.

Epresso Yourself Giselle Card and Book Review: Shattered Dreams

Hello all! I hope you had a lovely weekend and Easter. Sorry that I never got my Christmas card up yesterday, but I still plan to get it done before the week is over.

I was actually suppose to finish and post this card last Monday. I was frantically coloring her while Marianne was teaching our certification class. I have one more project on Thursday and that will be the last of my beloved Marrakech paper. I also used Sweet Sunday Sketch #63 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Copics, Nestabilities, CTMH Brads and Dew Drops

My friend Yvonne from work let me borrow this book from her. It's about the fundamentalist Mormons who have polygamy families. The story starts with her childhood, her mom being wife #2 out of 4 to her father. When she grows up, she becomes wife #2 out of 8 to her husband.

In Hmong culture, polygamy isn't the norm, but it's acceptable. Anna (my step-mom) comes from a polygamy family and is the oldest child from wife #2. But the major difference with this book and Hmong culture is that the fundamentalist Mormons do it for religion. They think they'll become gods if they have many wives and children.

I honestly don't know anything about Mormons or the fundamentalist Mormons, so I went into this book blindly. The book itself is very interesting and would recommend it. Since the husband couldn't really provide a lot of money for his family, they lived in true poverty. Most of the time they lived without running water and electricity. I felt really sad for this lady and I admire how strong she was to endure it all.

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday! It's my birthday, so I'll be at home in my pajamas crafting, lol.
