Sending Well Wishes Card

*This is my 2nd post for today. Please scroll down to see my La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge.*

Sorry I'm running late this morning! It's been a crazy week and it's only Wednesday, lol. Hello everyone! We have another fun preview over at The Greeting Farm's blog for you today using the new "Get Well" set designed by Marina Neira.

Even more heartwarming, we are calling all of you to action by heading up a charity card drive for sick children and their families this week. Tomorrow you will hear more about that from Jessica and be given instructions on how you can enter this card drive and put a smile on the faces of not only a sick child, but hopefully their parents, siblings, and all who are affected by all of the heartbreaking illnesses out there. We have been wanting to do this for some time and I'm really happy about it; can't wait to see how many cards we can collect for this wonderful cause!

La-land Weekly Wednesday Challenge #32

This week's challenge is paper piecing. Don't forget to check out the La-la Land Crafts blog to see the rest of the DT's creations. This week's stamp special is Rosie with Bird. She'll be 20% off this whole week.

Sorry that I'm running late today! I still haven't caught up with everything since I left to go to Portland. I hope you can bare with me, lol. Photobucket isn't being my friend this morning, so I uploaded my picture through Blogger. Not that big of a deal, but no big picture for the moment.

I Love You To the Moon and Back

I'm finally making myself use this poor and neglected Ian. I even bought a special sentiment at A muse to go with him, lol. Guess I'll find a reason to give this to Brent. I also used Club Anya and Friends Sketch Challenge #12.

Haven't the TGF previews just been darling? I love the new stamping Anya! I will have more critter previews for you tomorrow. :) Now that all my Lemonade paper is gone, I've switch to Marrakech. This paper pack gave me a new love for the color orange.

Paper: Basic Grey Marrakech

Everyone have a great Tuesday! I'm excited for Idol and Biggest Loser!

TGF Battle, My Trip Home, and Copic Certification Class

Sorry this is so late! It was not fun to find out this morning that Blogger was having photo issues. I got through about all of yesterday's posts and half of Saturday's, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish all the way through Friday. I'm hoping that if any of you posted anything major over the weekend, I'll eventually figure it out. :)

I'm sorry I wasn't around for the beginning of the TGF Battle. My team the Holaback Girls is made up of me, Mary, Sandra, Kadie, and Kim. Since Kim is so wonderful at 3-D objects, we let her take this round with our old fashioned TV. Since I'm on a DT team, you can't vote for us anyways.

This is the inside of the card. Isn't it just adorable? Kim made this for her hubby! Though you can't vote for us, you still have through Tuesday to go to the TGF galleria and vote on your top 3 choices. From the ones I've seen so far, the competition is pretty steep!

My trip home was nice, though I do wish I would of seen Michael and Emily. I got to see my brother Brien's new place and it's really nice. Then I spent the afternoon at Kandi's house with her and Linda (the pic below). I wish I had a scrap room like Kandi's, lol! It's just lovely! It was nice to meet more local CTMH peeps.

Then I went over and saw Scott (Brent's twin) and Paula's new place. They just moved in a few weeks ago. They had people over for the fights, but it was nice to see some of our friends who we haven't seen since Scott and Paula's wedding last summer.

Sunday was the Copic Certification class and I had a great time. 2 peeps at my table work at Impress...and one of them lives in Maple Valley! It's truly a small world, lol. And Corinna, another CTMH consultant who lives in Gig Harbor was also at my table! I didn't get the chance to get a pic with Marianne, but she was wonderful! And she told me she loved my name. :)

I can't lie...I already knew most of the information that was provided. But it was neat to see all the different things you can do with the re-inkers, pearl additives, gold leafing, glossy paper, velum, and making patterns with the wide markers.

I also got to learn how to use the airbrushing system! I made Brent get it for me for Christmas, but I've been scared to play with it. Now I seriously can't wait to have time to play with it! It's going to be my new addiction, lol.

They're also in the process of creating an advanced certification class, so I'm excited for that as well. I would really recommend the class to anyone who's interested, though this was one of the last classes that Marianne herself will be teaching. She's planning on being at summer CHA already and I so wish I could go. I'll be at Yellowstone instead...poor me, eh? :) No offense to Brent, but I would probably pick CHA over anything if I could, lol.

Anyhoo- I hope you all have a fabulous Monday. I promise to have a card up tomorrow!

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #17 - Snowbunnybella Card

Click {here} to see and enter into this week's Christmas Card Challenge.

I was short on time with preparing for my trip to Portland, so I cheated and used this Snowbunnybella image that was already colored for another card. I've just got scraps left of this paper pack, so I'm trying to be as resourceful as I can. But I'm lovin' my green and red cards!

Paper: Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Snowflake Punch, PTI Buttons, Crystal Stickles, Copics, and Pearls

I hope you all have a fabulous Sunday! I will share pictures from the Copic class tomorrow!

Raise the Bar Challenge #11 - April Fools

This week's challenge at Raise the Bar is to make a card or project that is not usually your style.

Well, my friend Randi was so sweet to send me a Sweet Pea stamp. Isn't it gorgeous? I love Randi's style of coloring and inking...I just had to give it a try. I'm no where near as good as her, lol, but I still like how my card came out.

I scream "cutesy, adorable" so to make anything that's not is super hard for me. This image is a bit serious for me, but I think I lightened up the card with my cheesy sentiment, lol. What do you think? :)

Paper: Basic Grey Lemonade
Stamps: Sweet Pea Stamps, sentiment is Amuse, flourishes are CTMH
Rhinestones, Copics, Prima Flowers, and PTI Buttons

Today I'm having lunch with my brother. He just got a new place with his girlfriend and it's an early birthday celebration for me! I turn the big 2-8 on April 5th.

Then I'm hanging out with Kandi and Linda. I'm excited to see Kandi's craft room in real life! Everyone have a fabulous weekend!

Farm Fresh Friday - Color Challenge

Today's challenge is a color challenge. Don't forget to check out the Greeting Farm blog to see the rest of the DT's cute critter cards! I'm not really a yellow fan, so I kindof had a hard time with this color combo. But after a couple tries I like how my card turned out.

I'm leaving for Portland today...as I'm taking the Copic Certification Class on Sunday. Unfortunately, my family will be down in Sacramento, so no mini-me time with Em this weekend. I do have posts scheduled for the weekend, but won't really be around. Will get back to commenting and emails on Monday.

Paper: SU
Stamps: The Greeting Farm
Nestabilities, Copics, CTMH Brads, MS Border Punch, Rhinestones, Twine, and PTI Buttons

Everyone have a fabulous Friday! It's almost the weekend!

Mismatch Ketto Card

I hope you're not getting sick of my Lemonade paper yet. I have another card Saturday and I think I have enough scraps for one more card. Farm Fresh Friday is a color challenge, so you'll get a little break from the pink and green, lol.

This is my modified version of Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #61. I've had this Ketto colored and ready to go for weeks...but just never got around to finishing my card, lol. You'd laugh because I have about 4-5 unfinished cards sitting on my desk that have been there for weeks. It's my pile of stuff I changed my mind on, but still good enough not to trash. :)

Paper: Basic Grey Lemonade
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Nestabilities, Copics, Rhinestones, PTI Buttons, Crystal Stickles, and Twine

Have a fabulous Thursday! Yeah for Grey's and Private Practice!

La-land Weekly Wednesday Challenge #31

This week's challenge is to make your own flowers. Don't forget to check out the La-la Land Craft's blog to see the rest of the DT's creations! This started as Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try from Saturday, but my image just didn't fit right.

It's a bright one today! Well, since these flowers have been so popular, I finally caved in and ripped up one of paperbacks, lol. I used the dahlia and scalloped circle Nestabilties to make my flower. It's held together with a brad and then I just used a pink button and some twine to dress it up. My whole card is distressed with Chocolate Chip ink.

Paper: Basic Grey Lemonade
Stamps: La-la Land Crafts, sentiment is Amuse
CTMH Brads, Copics, PTI Buttons, Twine, Nestabilities, Rhinestones, and Crystal Stickles

This week's special is Porsha, the lovely lady in my card. She's 20% off! Also, the spring Easter stamps are finally here!

Well, I hope you all have a fabulous hump day. I will be running again tonight...and hopefully not scaring the people next to me. :)

Little Miss Audrey Card

Isn't this little trouble maker the cutest? She reminds me of my friend Kendall's daughter Aubrianna. I might just have to send this card to them. I used the colorless blender and a piece of denim on her hat to make it textured. I like how it turned out. This is also for Club Anya and Friends Sketch #11.

Don't forget...today is free pastry day at Starbucks! And it's also free cone day at Ben and Jerry's. It's gonna be a fun and yummy day for me, lol. I don't usually get Starbucks during the week, so this will be a treat for me! And as lame as I am...I love Cherry Garcia. I get it every year at free cone day. :)

Paper: Basic Grey Lemonade
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, Twine, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, and Rhinestones

Okay, so I thought I would share some randomness. In the past, I know I've talked about how mean and crazy people are on 2 Peas. I don't get into the drama, but I love to lurk on there. I do get a lot of useful info too, lol. But yesterday I found out that there are ladies who take the "controversial, juicy, crazy" posts and re-post them onto a blog so that people can gossip about them. I find it just ridiculous and hilarious all at the same time. Don't people have better things to do?

I haven't been to the gym since we went to Vancouver, but I still have been going to my water aerobics class. I finally went running yesterday and I while I was there I saw the new Jack in the Box commercial. I tried to find it on You Tube, but couldn't. It's the one where they're making a new breakfast sandwich and the cook makes a pancake like Jack's face. I was laughing so hard, I think the guys running on either side of me thought I was crazy, lol.

Anyhoo- I hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday! Can't wait for Idol and Biggest Loser. I picked Sam as my winner for BL...so I hope the Black team can hold in there just a bit longer.

Would You Like a Spot of Coffee?

I was inspired my by friend Jenn. She's been posting a ton of lovely cards that she made with her Nook and Pantry paper. I've been trying to use up my Basic Grey paper, so most of my cards this week will be made with my 4 last sheets of Lemonade paper.

Going through my paper, I see that I typically use up the packs that have lots of greens and pinks. :) This is my second favorite BG paper pack ever, but I'll be happy to finally use up my scraps. I also used Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #105, though it is a bit modified to fit my image.

Paper: Basic Grey Lemonade
Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Copics, Rhinestones, CTMH Bigger Brads, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a great Monday! It's back to work for me...and don't forget...tomorrow is free pastry day at Starbucks! :)

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #16

Click {here} to see and enter into this week's Christmas Card Challenge. I just announced my new design team for the challenge blog, so please stop by and show the ladies some love!

My favorite part of the holidays is the music. I firmly don't believe in Christmas until after Thanksgiving, but at work the music started in October, lol. Amy Grant's Home For Christmas album is my favorite of all time. I got it as a gift when I was in the 7th grade. I lost it when my car got stolen, but this last holiday season I bought the iTune version of it for my iPod.

I used Unscripted Sketches #47 and I just realized that I forgot to add my snowflake and button, lol. Oh, well...might just leave the card for now. We'll see. I fixed my card and like it much better!

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment PTI
Rhinestones, Crystal Stickles, Snowflake Punch, PTI Buttons, and Copics

I hope you all have a great Sunday. I will be vacuuming and crafting!

Huggabugg Card and Raise the Bar Challenge #10 - Fruits of Labor

This week's challenge at Raise the Bar is fruits of labor. Use any image, paper, or ribbon with fruit! I have had this huggabugg since it came out and sadly it's the first time I've ever inked her up. Apples are my favorite fruit and I eat one every day...so I'm surprised I haven't used her more, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Nook and Pantry
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Nestabilities, Rhinestones, PTI Buttons, Copics, PTI Ribbon, Twine, Crystal Stickles, and EK Success Border Punch

I hope you all have a great weekend! I am scurrying to get my taxes finalized. Buying a new home and car in one year is crazy, but at least we get some great credits. I miss being able to do the easy file already, lol.

Farm Fresh Friday - Sketch Challenge

This week's challenge is a sketch challenge. Don't forget to check out the Greeting Farm blog to see the full sketch and the rest of the DT's lovely creations!

So have you all gotten your teams together for the Battle of Design Teams? Since my lovely team, Holaback Girls, isn't eligible for prizes...don't forget to vote for us every week, lol. It won't hurt ya since we can't steal the prize from ya. :) In all seriousness though, I am very excited to see all the creative entries for the contest.

Blingabella Card

I was going through my Bellas and just a few weeks ago I thought to myself that I would really like to play with Blingabella. I've been trying to get more use out of my older stamps. Well, I haven't had any friends get engaged since my bff Catherine got engaged 2 years ago.

Then I found out that Amy got engaged while she was on a fabulous cruise vacation! I know Amy's not a purple fan...but green is her favorite color. So I hope the green makes up for the purple on this one. :) I haven't sent this out yet...but Amy lives in the same city as me, so she'll get it in a day, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Kioshi
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
SU Rub-ons, Copics, Rhinestones, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons and Nestabilities

Guess what I noticed yesterday?!? I have 300 followers now! :) I will be doing some blog candy soon! I've never made people be followers to participate in anything I do, so I truly appreciate all of my fans and the time you take to peek at my blog!

Everyone have a fabulous Thursday! Whats up with re-runs? But Flash Forward does come back on tonight.

La-land Weekly Wednesday Challenge #30

This week's challenge is go green. Hope you're not getting sick of all the go green challenges, lol. Use any recycled item on your card. Don't forget to check out the La-la Land Crafts blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations. This week Pirate Lala is 20% off in the store. I also used Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #104.

Oh Happy Day...

This little man reminds me of my baby brother Michael. I've had this paper pack since it debuted at CHA 2 years ago, lol...and I haven't used it til now. Guess I've never really had a reason to make dinosaur cards. I also used Club Anya and Friends Sketch #10.

It's hard for me not to pile on the embellishments. I hope I can get away with the few rhinestones I put on this boy card. :)

Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: The Greeting Farm
Twine, Copics, PTI Buttons and Rhinestones

Everyone have a great Tuesday! Brent's man Alex went home last week...but my picks Casey and Crystal are holding on strong! Yeah for Idol!

My Girlie Lisette

It's my friend Katie's birthday next week. So why am I showing my card so early? I'm hoping that it will actually get in the mail and get to her on time, lol. Katie lives in Chicago and I haven't seen her since New Year's when we were all home for the holidays. Sadly, Emily is the only one to get her birthday card on time...and sheesh, she's only 4. :)

If you're not my friend on Facebook...then you don't know that I got my new Basic Grey paper in the mail on Friday! Of course I had to rush in and cut right into it! It's a little girlie for Katie, but I think she will like it. I also used 2 Sketches 4 You Laura's Sketch #47.

Paper: Basic Grey Green at Heart
Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie, sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Rhinestones, Nestabilities, EK Success, Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a great Monday! I have to wait til May for Bachelorette, what am I gonna watch tonight? It's back to work for me...

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #15 - Snowbunnybella Card

Click {here} to see and enter into this week's Christmas Card Challenge.

I don't typically make a lot of cards with red and green, but I like how it turned out with more traditional colors. Every time I use this Bella, I long for a cute furry coat. And I would love a green one too, lol. But I don't know about "no pants" in the freezing cold. :)

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Nestabilities, Copics, Rhinestones, EK Success Border Punch, Crystal Stickles, Twine, PTI Buttons, and Snowflake Punch

Everyone have a fabulous Sunday! I will be at A muse taking my class!

Raise the Bar Challenge #9 - Go Green

This week's challenge at Raise the Bar is go green! Use either a recycled item on your card, or the color itself. I also used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #59.

Well, green is my favorite color...so I couldn't not use it. I'll admit that this Bella doesn't see much love, but she's just perfect for this theme! I do apologize to the world often that I don't have an earth friendly hobby...but I do recycle as much as I can to try to make up for it. Nothing compares to the touch and smell of lovely new designer paper though, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Origins
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Twine, Rhinestones, Copics, Pearls, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday. Brent's working...so hopefully a lovely day of crafting with cleaning in between, lol.

Farm Fresh Friday - Birthday Bash

This week's challenge is Birthday Bash! Create any birthday card! Don't forget to check out the Greeting Farm blog to see the rest of the DT's wonderful projects.

This stamp is actually suppose to be a Christmas stamp. But thats the beauty of this...as you can use it really for anything. A congrats card, a baby shower, a wedding shower, home warming present...the ideas are endless. I also used Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try from last week.

Paper: Basic Grey Sugar Rush
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Rhinestones, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a great Friday! It's almost the weekend!

My Trouble Maker Charlotte

I made this card weeks ago when I hung out with the South Sound Stampers. She's my favorite Kraftin Kimmie image! I couldn't find a sentiment that I really loved, so I finally just made myself finish the card, lol. I got tired of her sitting on my desk.

This must of been one of my last cards to make that day, because I noticed that I outlined her once, but didn't finish. I just had to laugh at myself and then fixed her up before I took the picture. I just got the new Tea Party kit that Kraftin Kimmie released, so I'm excited to play with them soon.

Paper: Basic Grey Sugar Rush
Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie, sentiment is PTI
Rhinestones, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

I've been wanting some Alice themed stamps, so I decided to get the Tea Party kit. There's so many new great sets out there, but I couldn't go wild on the spending. I'm going to A muse this weekend to take a class and my friend Rachel is a bad influence on me. :) I will return home with more sentiments, bwah..ha, ha.

We booked this class in January, so I've had time to build my sentiment fund. I hope you all know that I'm responsible and I budget. You get a 10% discount when you take a class so I'd be foolish to come home empty handed, lol. I'm also excited to spend time with some friends and a dinner out.

Everyone have a fabulous Thursday! I'm excited for Grey's and Private Practice!

La-land Weekly Wednesday Challenge #29

This week's challenge is to use pastel colors. I don't use pastel colors very often, so I scrounged around to find some. I know the colors are still pretty bright, but I think my card still turned out cute. Don't forget to check out the La-la Land Crafts blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely projects!

Paper: SU
Stamps: La-la Land Crafts, sentiment is Amuse
Pearls, Nestabilities, Prima Flowers, Rhinestones, Copics, Crystal Stickles, and CTMH Buttons

This week's special in the store is Easter Bunny Rosie. She is 20% off, which makes her only $3.40. That's a pretty great deal. You have until Monday to participate in this week's challenge. The winner will receive a $10 credit to La-land Crafts! Good luck!

Everyone have a fabulous hump day! I am so joyous right now! :)
