No Christmas Cards Today...Olympic Pics

I'm sorry to say that I didn't get this week's Christmas cards done. I will leave the theme open and you can make any Christmas/Winter card you would like. I will post a Mr. Linky on the Christmas Card Challenge blog, so you can still post your cards.

The wait times in Vancouver are crazy, so we gave up on trying to see the medals. It probably would of been a 4-5 hour wait. But it only took us 30 minutes to see the torch/flame and 30 minutes to get into the Olympic Store. I was lucky enough to score a Canada hoodie and some cute red mittens! :) The Coca-cola Theater was really neat and we also got Olympic bottle souvenirs.

For our next career, Brent and I have decided to become the next bobsledding team, lol. Not really, but we always joke around about it.

Brent and I ended up going to the Sweden and Slovakia game, but it was a good game. We watched the rest of the hockey games in pubs and I must say that Canadians are the NICEST people ever. :) We have made quite a few friends up here along the way.

We also went to Granville Island and had a fun time on the water taxi. Here is a pic of us on the dock.

Though I will be home earlier, I won't have a new post up til Tuesday. I hope you all have a great weekend and I hope that the US wins the gold in hockey tonight!

Anyway, your pics are so cute! What a great experience to have gone to the Olympics! That's on my bucket list. Looks like you and your hubby had a great time! Thanks for sharing!

  22. Great photos, Sparkle! What a fun thing to do. Husband and I went to the '96 Summer Games in Atlanta - we had such a great time that I remember it like it was last year instead of 14 years ago.

  23. So glad to hear that you and Brent had a great time at the Olympics Sparkle! To actually go to the Olympics is a dream of mine but until that happens, I'll have to be content watching the games on the TV. Did you get a chance to see Apollo or any other Olympic star while in Canada? If so, let us know!!

  30. Glad to see you had an absolutely fabulous Olympic visit! Did you get a chance to visit the Korean pavilion? There was a crafty activity there.
I didn't get to see as much as I would have liked as you had to choose your line ups! LOL

FYI...if you're up this way in a month the mint pavilion will be re-opening up again for the paralympic games and the tix for everything are cheaper!

    Hugs
