No Christmas Cards Today...Olympic Pics

I'm sorry to say that I didn't get this week's Christmas cards done. I will leave the theme open and you can make any Christmas/Winter card you would like. I will post a Mr. Linky on the Christmas Card Challenge blog, so you can still post your cards.

The wait times in Vancouver are crazy, so we gave up on trying to see the medals. It probably would of been a 4-5 hour wait. But it only took us 30 minutes to see the torch/flame and 30 minutes to get into the Olympic Store. I was lucky enough to score a Canada hoodie and some cute red mittens! :) The Coca-cola Theater was really neat and we also got Olympic bottle souvenirs.

For our next career, Brent and I have decided to become the next bobsledding team, lol. Not really, but we always joke around about it.

Brent and I ended up going to the Sweden and Slovakia game, but it was a good game. We watched the rest of the hockey games in pubs and I must say that Canadians are the NICEST people ever. :) We have made quite a few friends up here along the way.

We also went to Granville Island and had a fun time on the water taxi. Here is a pic of us on the dock.

Though I will be home earlier, I won't have a new post up til Tuesday. I hope you all have a great weekend and I hope that the US wins the gold in hockey tonight!

Miss Anya Collection Card, Drunken Stampers Challenge #5 and Raise the Bar Challenge #7

I really tried to get 2 different cards done before I left for Vancouver, but didn't quite make it. So, I'm pulling double duty again. My dear friend Peggy asked me to be a Guest Designer for a challenge blog, Drunken Stampers. I am very honored to be featured today. :) Their challenge this week is glitter and lace.

The challenge at Raise the Bar this week is 3's Company. Use 3 of anything - images, embellishments, DP mix, bling, you name it. Well, since you all know I love Primas, using 3 flowers was pretty easy. Lastly, I also used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #57 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Origins
Stmaps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Lace, Nestabilities, Rhinestones, Copics, Dew Drops, and Crystal Stickles

Everyone have a fabulous weekend!

Rollanda Ketto Card

This Ketto reminds me of my childhood. I use to love going to Skate World! I never got into ice skating, but I loved roller skating. I'm just down to scraps of my Eva paper and I still have a ton of Kiwi paper Stephanie generously gave me. I might have to buy another pack, lol. I also used Get Sketchy #26 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Nestabilities, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Rhinestones, and Copics

Everyone have a fabulous Thursday! I'm glad that re-runs are on tonight, lol.

La-la Land Weekly Wednesday Challenge #27

I apologize for not having a card today...I actually made a Sparkle Thistleweed card and when I went to take my photos off my wasn't there. :( But I do have cards for the rest of the week.

I also wanted to share that Irina asked me to be a Guest Designer for La-la Land Crafts and I will be a Guest Designer for the months of March and April. Unfortunately, due to my trip, I didn't get anything done in time for the challenge today. But today is a sketch challenge, so don't forget to check out the blog.

I'm writing this before I actually know, but Brent said that we will most likely see Canada play against Russia. And that's pending that Canada won their game yesterday. The US game is at noon, so I'm a little disappointed not to see the US play, but it'll still be a great game regardless. It's always exciting to see the home team play!

Travel Anya Card

Sorry my post is late today...I forgot to upload my picture to Photobucket yesterday...

I've had this Anya since it came out and I've been saving her for my trip. :) I had a totally different idea in my head, as I wanted to make a red and white card for Canada. Even though I added kraft and black, I still like how my card turned out. I also used Club Anya and Friends Sketch #7.

Paper: SU and CTMH
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, CTMH, PTI
CTMH Ribbon, Crystal Stickles, Copics, Nestabilities, and Rhinestones

I do have scheduled posts for the whole week, but I probably won't be checking anything while I'm gone. I will answer emails and post comments when I get back. And of course I'll have tons of pics to share too. :) I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!

Happy Birthday Riley Card

Today is Arlene's and Seleise's birthday. This is not the card I sent them, lol, but I thought it would be appropriate for celebrating! I mailed out their cards on Friday, so I'm hoping that they both get their cards in the mail today. Arlene is one of my bella sistahs and Seleise is in my SBS4 group. I just love this Riley and I used CPS #154 for this card.

Paper: SU
Stamps: Riley and Company, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, Nestabilities, PTI Buttons, Rhinestones, and Crystal Stickles

Totally off subject of crafting, but the USA men's hockey team beat Canada last night. (Sorry to my Canadian friends!) That means the US made the Quarter Finals and that's one of the games that Brent and I are going to on Wednesday! Cross your fingers that we will get to see the US play. :)

Everyone have a fabulous Monday! It's back to work for me...

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #12 - Glideabella Card

Click {here} to see and enter into this week's Christmas Card Challenge.

I just love figure skating and I SO wish I was going to see that at the Olympics. Of course I don't have an arm and a leg to spare for a ticket, lol, so Brent and I compromised on hockey. I totally could of used my Hockeymomabella, but Glideabella was just calling out to me.

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is PTI
Snowflake Punch, PTI Button, Copics, Rhinestones, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a great Sunday! Today I'll be cleaning and grocery shopping!

Raise the Bar Challenge #6 - Stamper No Stamping

The challenge at Raise the Bar this week is no stamping, except for a sentiment. This sentiment came out last fall and I've been eying it forever it seems. I finally ordered it from A muse while I signed up for a Copics 201 class with my friend Rachel. On a total random side tangent, lol...I got into the Portland Copic Certification class! I'm really excited to be going and it's a bonus to get to go home and see the fam. :)

Paper: Que Sera Sera
Stamps: Amuse
Pearls, MS Border Punch, Nestabilties, Prima Flowers, and CTMH Buttons

Well, things work in mysterious ways sometimes. I'm sure most of the stamping community knows that Shannan lost her husband recently and I made this card for her and her boys. This stamp was just meant to be mine at this time.

I hope you all have a fabulous Saturday! I will be crafting it up with the South Sound Stampers. And then I'm going to dinner with some friends! Brent gets a nice lazy day without me bugging him to do stuff, lol.

Farm Fresh Friday - Color Challenge

This week's challenge is a color challenge. Use Kraft, Groovy Guava (or Melon Berry), and Chocolate Chip. Don't forget to check out the TGF blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations!

So, I don't have any Groovy Guava paper, lol. Considering thats 3 In Color seasons ago, it's probably a good thing I don't! :) The hoarder side of me loses a point for this. And of course out of all the PTI colors I do own, I don't have Melon Berry. Totally striking out here! But then I remembered I had these few scraps left of CTMH's Sorbet paper. I also used Card Patterns #51 for this.

Paper: SU Cardstock, CTMH
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Rhinestones, Copics, Nestabilities, Pearls, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday! It's almost the weekend!

Babycarriageabella Card

Since I'm trying to be good and un-hoard my paper, I broke out more of my old In Color stash. Sadly, I only have 2 sheets left of pink pirouette and 6 sheets of red riding hood. But isn't Bella Rose paper perfect for my Bella, lol?

I started with Taylored Expression's Sketch #100, but I added some ribbon and altered it a little bit. I've been having lots of fun with the ribbon ruffles, so I'm sure you'll see plenty more.

Paper: SU
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is PTI
CTMH Brads, PTI Ribbon, Rhinestones, Copics, Nestabilities, and Crystal Stickles

Everyone have a fabulous Thursday! Can't wait for Grey's and Private Practice!

My Little Bed Huggabugg Card

Shame on me...I think this stamp came out like a year ago...and I've never used it, lol. Doesn't Christy Croll just make the cutest stamps? I think I own every Huggabugg that's been made into rubber, so I am trying to use them more. :) Isn't this one just precious?!?

Paper: My Mind Eyes Bloom and Grow
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flwoers, PTI Buttons, Twine, Rhinestones, Nestabilities, and Copic Markers

Everyone have a great hump day!

Gigi Thank You Card

It's a bright one today for a lovely sunshiney day! Remember when I made this card and I thought I was out of this fabulous paper? Well, while I was cleaning, I found a few more pieces! This image just cracks me up, because to me, she looks like a granny hippie. :) I also used Club Anya and Friends Sketch #6.

Paper: Sassafras Lollipop
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, PTI and CTMH Buttons, Crystal Stickles, Rhinestones, PTI Ribbon, and Copics

Anyhoo- I hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday! I can't wait to see the rest of Hollywood week and Biggest Loser!

Miss Anya Love Card

If you're looking for the TGF My Cheeky Valentine blog hop, just click on the link or scroll down to the next post. The blog hop closes at 9am CST.

Okay, this is gonna be a jam packed entry today. Since some have asked, Catherine decided to take all 3 of my Bella wedding cards, because she couldn't choose which one she liked the most, lol. Ali might be surprised when she receives 3 wedding cards! :) Catherine loved them all, and guess what? I was right about the blue dresses and green bouquets! Catherine was shocked when she saw the cards, since she never told me. My artistic soul must of been talking to me.

With wedding cards and Cheeky previews, I've gotten behind on my Club Anya and Friends Sketch Challenges. So here is my card for last week's sketch #5. Though it's posted late...I did make this way before Valentine's day.

Paper: Basic Grey Indian Summer
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is A muse
Prima Flowers, PTI Button, Copics, Twine, CTMH Brads, Nestabilities, and Crystal Stickles

Kim wanted to see whole pictures of my wedding dress, so I thought I would share. I got married on July 5th, 2008 down in Portland, but I know that many of my newer blog viewers haven't seen my wedding pictures.

I wanted to represent all parts of my different cultures, so I wore a traditional white dress, my traditional Hmong clothes, and a Chinese dress. Since my mom was born and raised in Hawaii, I used all tropical flowers for my wedding. We had used tropical flowers for her funeral as well, so that was really important to me. I also appreciated all the work and help Anna (my step mom) did for my wedding too.

Though I uploaded the pictures small, if you click on them, you can view them much larger. These are the originals from the photographer, so they're pretty large file sizes. And honestly, I don't really recommend 3 dress changes in one night, lol.

After Anna got married to my Dad, he took her up to Vancouver and she got me these cute little figurines. I really wanted them as our cake toppers, but Brent said "no" because he wasn't a Chinese boy, lol. I even offered to paint the boy's hair yellow. :) Now I just use them as part of my Chinese New Years decor!

Well, most of you in the US probably have today off, but I have to work today. So I hope you all have a great holiday and can't wait for Bachelor tonight!

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #11 - Daisyboardabella Card

Click {here} to see and enter into this week's Christmas Card Challenge.

Snowbunny Bella was the first Bella I ever got and she will always hold a special place in my heart. But the more I play with my winter stamps, Daisyboardabella is actually my favorite winter one. Since I've been using these stamps the past couple of years...I've decided that after my 2010 cards go out, all of my old Bella stamps will be retired.

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Impress
Rhinestones, Nestabilities, Copics, Crystal Stickles, Snowflake Punch, and Twine

I will never sell them, please don't ask. But I'm sure my family is ready for new images on their cards. :) Sadly, I don't snowboard, but if I did, I would definitely have to have as cute of gear as Bella does.

Everyone have a fabulous Valentine's Day and Chinese New Years! Don't forget to come back later tonight for TGF "My Cheeky Valentine" Blog Hop!

Stamping Bella Blog Hop Loveybella and Calliope Ketto Cards and Raise the Bar Challenge #5 - Be Mine Forever

Welcome to the Love Me Do Blog Hop sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you didn't start from the beginning, please start at Emily's blog. If you get lost or there are broken links, please click here to see the whole list of participants.

Today I'm doing double duty. This week's challenge at Raise the Bar is to use a stamp/set that you will never ever ever ever give up or sell. Well, if you don't know me very well, I own EVERY Bella. I love and adore it was very fitting, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Sugar Rush
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is PTI
Rhinestones, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, MM Heart Brads, Crystal Stickles, and Copics

I think I've only used this Bella once before. But Calliope is my favorite Ketto of all and I tend to use her quite a bit more. I decided to finally play with the ribbon ruffles and I love how it turned out! I may have to do this more on my cards.

Paper: Basic Grey Sugar Rush
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is PTI
PTI Buttons, Nestabilities, Copics, Crystal Stickles, CTMH Ribbon, Rhinestones, and MS Border Punch

How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! The fun part is...we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! We will announce the winner on Friday in the Splitcoast forum. MWAH!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to my dear friend {Arlene}.

Farm Fresh Friday - The Vintage-esque Challenge

This week's challenge is vintage! Vintage Grunge, Vintage Victorian, Vintage Supplies, Vintage Paper, Vintage Romance. Let's see your what your vintage style is...old, torn, distressed, aged, tea-stained, sepia, lacey, frilly,....whatever 'vintage' inspires you! Don't forget to check out the TGF blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely creations!

Well, first off, vintage is NOT my style, I went with distressed, torn, and old. I put so much chocolate chip ink on this puppy and I'm not too happy with how "dark" it came out. But it does look old. :)

Paper: Basic Grey Origins
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Pearls, Copics, Crystal Stickles, and CTMH Buttons

And...though it's not "vintage" at ALL, I do have another cute Cheeky card for you. Rockabilly is actually my favorite of the 3. I don't tend to use yellow and purple very often, but I love how this card came together.

Paper: Basic Grey Wisteria
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Pearls, Copics, Crystal Stickles, and CTMH Brads

Those in the US, I hope you all enjoy the holiday weekend! Since Brent and I are leaving for the Olympics soon, we don't really have anything planned (trying not to spend money).

It's also Chinese New Years, so we'll go out for Chinese food and celebrate Valentine's Day too. :) I'm not complaining at all...but this is the first Valentine's Day that we haven't done anything special. It's kindof odd, lol. But going to Vancouver is so worth it.

Everyone have a wonderful Friday! It's almost the weekend!

Thursday, February 11, 2010

Spousabella Wedding Card you like my new blog banner? I was so excited that Amy made a fairy named Sparkle Thistleweed. I think she makes a great icon for me as she's fun and sassy. :) Okay, on to my card...this is only the second time I've ever used this Bella. But isn't she just so elegant? I'm not sure if Ali's dress even looks remotely like this, but I had to make it matchy, matchy to the card, lol.

I realized that I need to invest in more wedding images and sentiments. But I still think that this is somewhat appropriate since I'm sure the big day will be filled with sparkles and sunshine! It's hard to see, but I did add some glitter to her dress.

Paper: SU
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Pearls, Friskars Border Punch, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

This is the end of my wedding Bella cards. Which ever cards Catherine doesn't pick, I'll be adding them to my Etsy. Remember, tomorrow is Farm Fresh Friday and I also have another Cheeky Sneak Peek.

Everyone have a great Thursday! Yeah for Grey's and Private Practice tonight!

A new line of Sprouts is coming to The Greeting Farm and the anticipation is at an all-time high...can you feel it in the air? We are totally psyched about this special release and can't wait to introduce you to "Rockabilly", "Shooter", and "Glamour"...the first in our CHA exclusive "Cheeky Cherry" release that will finally be available to you on 2/15.

Paper: SU Razzleberry Lemonade
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is PTI
Pearls, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Rhinestones, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

The little Miss Cherry herself will be hanging out this week for Farm Fresh Friday with another appearance, so be sure to stay tuned for that! For now, make sure you visit the DT's blogs to get a little more than a peek of these sassy, "cheeky" new releases coming soon!

Don't miss out-see you back here on Friday and mark your calendars for a very special surprise and our release blog hop on Sunday, 2/14/10 at 8pm CST!!!
