2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #7

This week's challenge: Sketch Challenge! Use this sketch to make any Christmas, Holiday, or Winter card. The heart represents an embellishment, so you can use whatever you want for that.

Since I made making tags one of my resolutions for 2010, here's my first one. I had a mini craft crisis, I ran out of white thread. So I switched to red...but that also meant I had to make all of my cards match the red this week! :) I do plan on going to Joann's soon, so I will have plenty of white thread.

Card
Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: CC Designs, sentiment is PTI
Snowflake Punches, PTI Buttons, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

Tag
Paper: Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Amuse
Snowflake Punches, CTMH Brads, PTI Buttons, and Crystal Stickles

Gorgeous! I had to take a closer peek at the bottom of the card, because I couldn't figure out how you got those swirlies in there so neatly...then I realized you used a punch on the pattern paper. It looks fabulous! Your tag is terrific, too.

Thanks for the info on the book swapping, I may have to look into it. Once my local library opens back up (newly built larger building-so exciting) next month, I may just go back to checking out most books at the library, because like you, a lot of books I read just once. Some reference type books I do like to have to go back to and re-read, though.

Your card and tag are both so darling. Love that BG paper. Sorry to hear about your craft crisis. I love the look of the red thread though.

Another very sweet Christmas card, Sparkle! And if running out of white thread is the biggest craft crisis you experience, I'd say you have it pretty good!!

Have a fun Sunday!

Hi Sparks!
So I took your sketch challenge this week, but I made Valentines instead of Christmas cards. I hope that is okay! I won't feel bad if you delete my link if that is uncouth. :)

It was really fun! I might have to go back and use a few more of your sketches.

:) Nona

Great idea to create tags, too, because I always end up using store bought in the wrapping rush.

Thanks for the inspiration to keep stocking up on holiday cards!
