Stamping Bella Chichibulie Blog Hop

Welcome to the Chichiboulie Blog Hop sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you didn't start the hop at the beginning, please go to Emily's blog. If you came from Angie's blog, you're right on track. If there's broken links and you get lost, here's a list of all the participants.

I just got my new Basic Grey Nook and Pantry paper last week and had to use it. Lottie and Gussie make me think of Catherine (BFF) and I. I miss our undergraduate days where we would study, gossip, watch TV, and shop all day. Catherine is actually taking her GREs today to get into a doctorate program. She's been stressing...but I know she's gonna do great!

Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Gina K
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Pearls, Copics, Crystal Stickles, CTMH Ribbon, and MS Border Punch

This was the last time I saw Catherine...the day after her wedding. I'm so excited that she's coming home for Christmas and will get to spend the holidays down with her in Portland. Since she lives in West Virgina and I live in Washington, we only get to see each other about once a year. No one will ever replace Catherine...but there are days when I wish I had a Seattle best friend. I miss having someone to go shopping and get coffee with.

How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! One pre-selected blogger will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a $25 Gift Voucher to Stamping Bella!!! The fun part is...we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! We will announce the winner on Monday in the Splitcoast forum. MWAH!

I hope you all have a safe and wonderful Halloween tonight. Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to {Gabriela's blog}.

Birthday Madeline Ketto Card for Erica

Today is my friend Erica's birthday and I made this for her. I've had this Ketto for awhile now and finally decided to ink her up. So, I must say that the pro of not being on DTs right now is that I've been able to use all of my hoarded un-inked old stamps, lol. It's amazing how much stuff you can collect.

Paper: My Minds Eye
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Crystal Stickles, Copics, and CTMH Brads

So...since many of you "heart" Stephanie Plum, I will give it another try, lol. I got the first one off of Paperback Swap, so I will request the next one.

Tricks and Treats Trickortreatabella Halloween Card

Can you believe it's almost Halloween already?!? I made all of my college/sorority friends cards with this Bella last year...but I think she is going to become my new Halloween tradition, lol. It's a little altered, but I also used Unscripted Sketches #27 for this card. Did you noticed that there's no glitter?!? I must of been too tired to notice when I took the photo, lol...

Paper: Basic Grey Eerie
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, PTI Buttons, American Craft Brads, and MS Border Punch

If you didn't read my blog last year...here's a short recap on Trick-or-Treat-a-bella. My friend Sarah made a really cute card with her Bella last fall...and after reading Noelle's comment on Sarah's card, I will never be able to look at her the same. :)

Everytime I think about this, it just cracks me up. If it gets old after next year...maybe I'll stop. Bwah, ha, ha...

So, I decided yesterday that I miss having my Live Journal. I think I'm going to start writing in there again, but keep my artwork here. The real reason why I switched over was because LJ doesn't have automated posting. Since I'm normally up at midnight, it didn't really bother me to type out my entries...but now that I do most of my posts at one time, I can't imagine going back. And of course I'll still share personal stuff on here, but if I want to elaborate...it'll go on LJ now. :)

Everyone have a great Thursday! Yeah for Grey's and Private Practice!

Enjoy the Moment for Alanna and Book Review: One For the Money

Back in February I posted this and so far I've only gotten one card done. I've been thinking about what I was going to make for Alanna for a looooong time. :) I love Alanna's CAS style, but after she commented on my last Sarah Kay card, I knew this was what I wanted to make for her. I don't own this Sarah Kay stamp...but Arlene was so sweet to send me some images of her. I might have to break down and get her at some point. I also used Jen del Muro's Sketch For You to Try from a couple weeks ago.

Paper: My Minds Eye Abbey's Road
Stamps: Sarah Kay, sentiment is PTI
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Pearls, Crystal Stickles, Nestabilites, and Copics

I'm still not done with Never Eat Alone. It's an easy read, but it's made me ponder on some stuff, so I decided to take a break and read something else. I love murder mysteries and suspense, so I decided to try One For the Money, which is part of the Stephanie Plum series. Overall, I was pretty disappointed in it and will not be reading the rest of the series.

It's about how Stephanie loses her job and starts working as a Bounty Hunter for her cousin, because she needs money to pay rent. I don't know that much about Bounty Hunters...but seems too unrealistic for me. The style of writing is light and witty, but it doesn't match up well when it comes to the darker parts like rape, shooting, etc.

Everyone have a great hump day! Who are your Top 20 favorites so far? I hate how I love people who don't make it or leave. I was so sad that Paula didn't take it and sad that Billy Bell won't be on it anymore. But I was really happy for Pauline, since she almost made Season 5.

Thinking of You Lori

A couple weeks ago, my friend Lori lost her brother unexpectedly. I made this card for her and she's already gotten it. Just wanted to share what I made and proud of myself that I remembered to post it! Sometimes I mail stuff off and totally forget. I just love the K&Co Que Sera Sera paper and I got the Spring Song image from Wish RAK last spring.

Paper: K and Company
Stamps: SU, sentiment is PTI
Nestabilites, Copics, Prima Flowers, Pearls, PTI Buttons, Crystal Stickles, and EK Success Border Punch

Everyone have a great Tuesday! I hope today goes much better than my Monday. It was pouring down rain...and I forgot my laptop at home. So, yep, 2 trips to Renton and back to Maple Valley in the pouring rain! Thank goodness I've never forgotten it while I was teaching class, lol. Who's excited for the Biggest Loser?!?

Tilda Picking Peaches...or Apples?

To make this more of a fall card, I turned her peaches to apples. This is my card for KL Stampin n Scrappin. Doesn't it make you want to make some apple pie? Apples are my favorite fruit, though sadly I've never made an apple pie, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Indian Summer
Stamps: Magnolia, sentiment is PTI
Copics, Crystal Stickles, Pearls, PTI Ribbon, EK Success Border Punch, and Rhinestones

Since some have asked...the shoebox swap on Saturday went really well. Jessica Knutsen, the owner of There She Goes Stamps was there and we all had a great time. They're thinking about making it a regular stamping group and here's the South Sound Stampers group on Facebook if you're interested. If you're local to the Seattle area, we would love to have you join us! Though it started out on Splitcoast, you don't have to be on there to join. And this group is just for FUN...it's not a gathering, party, or business.

I hope you all have a great Monday...it's back to work for me...

Christmas Card Challenge Week #47

I have joined the pompom bandwagon! I used up some scraps lying around to make this card. Baking and making candy was never a holiday tradition for us. My mom usually bought a pumpkin pie and her favorite was key lime, so she would buy one of those too. She hated pumpkin, lol...but I could eat a whole one if you let me. :) Not at one time, lol...but give me 4 days and it'd be gone. This weeks challenge is to use some kind of cooked/baked holiday goodie. Candy is good for this challenge too!

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Whiff of Joy, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, Nestabilities, Snowflake Punches, PTI Buttons, Crystal Stickles, Rhinestones, MS Border Punch, and Pompom Ribbon

Everyone have a great Sunday. I'm hoping to take Scott and Brent out to Dim Sum. Besides that, it'll be laundry and grocery shopping!

Maisy Ketto Thanks So Much Card

Thank you for all of your sweet comments yesterday. I really appreciate them!

When I first made this card...it was suppose to be a birthday card. I totally forgot until I was going through my cards and I was short one. I can't believe I stamped the wrong sentiment, lol. She still turned out darling and you can't have too many Thank You cards, right? Thanks Beth for such a cute image!

Paper: Basic Grey Indian Summer
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is PTI
Basic Grey Buttons, Copics, Crystal Stickles, Nestabilities, and EK Success Border Punch

Everyone have a fabulous Saturday! I will be doing a shoebox swap with some local gals from the Splitcoast forum! :) It'll be nice to actually put faces with their screen names! Brent and his twin Scott are going to the Huskies and Ducks game! Go BEAVs!

Mahalo Hula Anya

Paper: Making Memories Great Escape
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, Dew Drops, Copics, Rhinestones, and EK Success Border Punch

5 years and 2 days ago I was in my bedroom at the Sorority house. I was getting ready to take a mid-term and turn in a paper. My cell phone rang and it was a number I didn't recognize. I just ignored it and I continued to get dressed. The caller left me a voicemail, so I picked up my cell phone and listened to it. It was my brother, Brien, and he was calling from the hospital. My mom had a brain aneurysm while she was driving to work and I needed to come home.

When my brother and Dad got to hospital, my mom was still conscious. They were prepping her for a craniotomy. After hearing what the doctor had to say, my Dad elected not to do the craniotomy. Many people criticized my Dad's decision, but he made the right one for our family. My mom was diabetic and had kidney failure. She was already doing dialysis twice a day at home and her health was already starting to fail. By the time I got home from school, my mom was in a coma. We had to wait for all of the anesthesia to wear off before we could take her off life support. It took about 48 hours for her to pass away.

Lucky for me, the last time I saw my mom was 5 days before I got that call. I came home for the weekend by chance...or some would say fate. With a full class schedule, the sorority, and dating Brent long distance, I didn't really come home too often. I hadn't been home since August, prior to that trip. My mom and I spent the weekend clothes shopping, crafting, shopping at Craft Warehouse, and buying me groceries at Safeway. When I said good-bye to her at Safeway, that was the last time I saw her conscious.

We had her funeral in Portland the weekend of Halloween. The week after, we went to bury her in Hilo, Hawaii. Both of my grandparents are buried there and there are 4 generations (including my mom) of my grandma's family there as well. I haven't been there since we buried her, but I plan to take Brent sometime within the next year or so. He's never been to Hawaii, so we'll make a vacation out of it and do fun things too. This will be my first trip to Hawaii, where I'll be staying in a hotel...and not at my grandparent's house. It's so weird to think about...especially since I spent summers there as a child.

To honor my mom's 5 year anniversary of passing today, I chose to make a card with Hula Anya. I got the Mahalo stamp at Amuse while I was there for the anniversary sale. She was born and raised in Hilo, so she loved anything to do with Hawaii. Except I couldn't ever get her to watch 51 Dates with me, lol. She loved Drew Barrymore too, so I thought I could really con her into it. And thankfully the Spam thing never rubbed off on me either...though I do love sushi!

If you made it through my whole story...thank you! Tell all your loved ones that you love them and cherish the moments you have with them! Everyone have a great Friday! I'm so happy it's almost the weekend!

Saving the Planet with Ecobella

This Bella reminds me of my 2 best friends. Catherine use to work for the World Wildlife Fund and everything they used in their office was made of recycled products. She always looks on the back of cards to see if they're made from recyclable paper. I apologize to her all the time, because my hobby isn't Earth friendly, lol.

Shannon is so "granola," that we just laugh and tease her about it. She shares a car with her hubby and they don't drive very often. She's having her baby at the end of this month and she's choosing to do cloth diapers. :) But she is doing disposables for the first 6 weeks while she's recovering, so my diaper cake that I made her will get good use! I miss my college roomies so much!

Everyone have a great Thursday! Yeah for Grey's and Private Practice tonight! :)

Nurse Anya

I hate when I can't color white stuff white, lol. You can barely see it, but I outlined her outfit with grey. Next time I will be more creative and have a more colorful outfit. :) I just love red, white, and black together though, so I am happy with the way my card turned out.

Cyber Riley

This is my 2nd post. Though this is a Hanna Stamp, lol...my post for the Hanna Stamps Blog Hop is right under this one!

Yesterday was Brien's (my brother) birthday. I've always called him my little brother, but he's been bigger than me since I was 5, lol. He's 6'1 and I've always been jealous that he got the "tall" gene. I'm only 5'2. He's an Electrical Engineer and lives down in Portland. He's so good at math and loves computers. He actually owns 3 of them...and uses all of them. So, I thought this Riley would be perfect for him! :)

Paper: My Minds Eye Abbey Road
Stamps: Hanna Stamps, sentiment is PTI
CTMH Ribbon, CTMH Buttons, Copics, and CTMH Brads

I wasn't able to go home for his birthday...but Myra, Brien's girlfriend, took this pic at my parent's house. Michael looks like he just woke up from a nap and Emily looks like she's telling Brien a really interesting story about the strawberry, lol. I miss them so!

Everyone have a good Tuesday! Go Blue Team! I'm sorry, but I just love Bob! :)

Hanna Stamps Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hanna Fans Blog Hop! If you didn't start at the beginning, please go back to start at France's blog. If you came here from Tracey's blog, you're right on track. Just in case there are some broken links and you get lost, here is the master list of all the blogs.

I just got this Riley, so I had to use him! You can only order him right now from Stamper's Ink. I know sock monkeys aren't suppose to be blue and orange, but I needed it to match my card, lol. Afterwards, I realized my sock monkey looks like a Broncos fan! I also used Crazy 4 Challenges Sketch #7 on this.

Paper: Basic Grey Marrakech
Stamps: Hanna Stamps, sentiment is A muse
Nestabilities, American Craft Brads, and Copics

I hope you all have a wonderful night! Next on the hop is {Lorie}. ETA: I don't see a post on Lorie's blog, so skip to Tanya. Thanks!

Flurry of Fun!

Later tonight at 7pm Pacific Time is the Hanna Stamps Blog Hop...so don't forget to come back by to see my Riley card! I also have a Riley card for Tuesday's post...so you're gonna get double the moose! :)

So, I know it's not Sunday, but I have another Christmas card for you. This is my card for KL Stampin n Scrappin. I'll admit that RAM isn't really my style...as I'm much more of a Sarah Kay fan. But overall, I think my card came out pretty good. I also used Amy R's Sketch Challenge #76.

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Stampavie, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, Snowflake Punches, PTI Buttons, and Crystal Stickles

Everyone have a great Monday...it's back to work for me.

Christmas Card Challenge Week #46

Even though I'm not really a fan of the cold weather, I do love coats, jackets, scarves, gloves, and sweaters. My mom would get irritated with me, because I always asked her to buy me 3 different black jackets each year, lol. She always bought me a new coat when school started. By the time Christmas time came around, I would ask her for a new one. And then by my birthday in April, I would ask again. Before I loved rubber, I loved clothes. :)

This week's challenge is to use some sort of winter clothing. I also used Unscripted Sketches #26 for this card.

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, MS Border Punch, Crystal Stickles, and PTI Buttons

Christine and Christine

Today is my cousin's and my friend's birthday. They're born 6 years apart, but both are named Christine. I also have 2 friends in my college/sorority group that are both named Shannon. The "Christines" always say they're much cooler, because they share the same birthday, lol.

Ironically, both my cousin and my friend are animal lovers. They both own pet cats, so I thought it would be perfect to use my Gingerbell set to make birthday cards for them. It's a little altered, but I also used Sweet Sunday Sketch #38 for this.

Paper: My Minds Eye
Stamps: The Greeting Farm
American Craft Brads, Copics, Crystal Stickles, and MS Border Punch

My cousin lives in Portland and my friend lives in Corvallis, so unfortunately I won't be able to celebrate with them today. Everyone have a great Saturday! I don't really have any plans. Will probably do laundry and craft a bit.

Sparkles and Sunshine

I swear this Sarah Kay stamp is one of their most popular images. Every time I have tried to purchase it in the past, it's been sold out. Now that it's a couple years old, I was really excited to finally get it! I originally planned this card to be pink and green...but that didn't really work. I like it alot more with the brown. And isn't the sentiment just fabulous? That's what I really wanted from Amuse when I went there.

Paper: My Minds Eye Abbey Road
Stamps: Stampavie, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, Prima Flowers, Pearls, PTI Buttons, Crystal Stickles, Nestabilities, and CB Embossing Folder

Everyone have a fabulous Friday! It's almost the weekend! I look forward to relaxing and crafting. And if you're a Boss...Happy Boss's Day!

Youremynumberoneabella Card

Another uninked Bella in the stack. I'm not really sure how much use I can really get out of this one...lol, but she is darling! This card makes me feel cheery, which is good because I think the nice weather is gone until next summer. It's been so cold and rainy this week!

Paper: SU Washington Apple
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Copics, CB Embossing Folder, Dew Drops, Crystal Stickles, Nestabilities, Prima Flowers, and PTI Buttons

Something totally off subject...do you find it funny/odd that the person who hated you in high school sends you a friend request on Facebook? That happened to me yesterday. I don't hold anything against her, so of course I accepted her as a friend. I haven't seen her or talked to her since high school, so it's been a good 9 years, lol. It just amuses me for some reason.

Everyone have a great Thursday! I didn't really understand the ending of Flash Forward last week...but Grey's is looking exciting tonight. I'm also interested in seeing how things pan out with the baby on Private Practice.

Angel Anya

Bittersweet is my favorite Basic Grey paper ever! I used up 1 1/2 packs last year just making valentine cards. I made myself hoard 1/2 a pack and I'm finally getting around to using it. Though this is an older Anya, this is the first time I've ever used her too. I also used Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #100 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: The Greeting Farm
Prima Flowers, Basic Grey Buttons, Copics, Crystal Stickles

Everyone have a great hump day! What do you think of Vegas week already on SYTYCD? I was sad to see some good peeps leave already...

Witch Riley

I've owned this Riley since it came out a couple summers ago. Sadly, this is the first time I've ever used him. I'm excited for Halloween to be here, but I think it's going to be freezing! Still need to work on my candy situation too. I'll have to buy stuff that Brent doesn't like so he won't eat it all, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Eerie
Stamps: Hanna Stamps, sentiment is CTMH
Nestabilities, Copics, CTMH Brads, Crystal Stickles, and MS Border Punch

I have to go to the dentist today. :( I'm really sensitive to anesthesia, so hopefully I don't feel too cruddy by the time I get to work. I always get a kick out of myself from drinking coffee with half of my mouth numb, lol. Everyone have a great Tuesday!

Loves Me Tilda

Here is my card for KL Stampin n Scrappin. This card was one that I kept adding to and finally got it to where I liked it. I typically make boy cards with this paper, so it was nice to do something more girly.

Paper: My Minds Eye
Stamps: Magnolia, sentiment is PTI
Prima Flowers, CTMH Buttons, Pearls, EK Success Border Punch, Crystal Stickles, Copics, and Nestabilities

So do any of you have any great plans for today? I don't get Columbus Day off...so it's back to work for me...but I did get a bunch of good deals yesterday. I just wish the Wall flowers at Bath and Body Works would go on sale...I need more of them, lol. Everyone have a great Monday!

Christmas Card Challenge Week #45

Last year I got the cute little bird house stamp that was covered with snow. When this matching bird stamp came out this year, of course I had to get it. I'm a matchy, matchy kind of gal. :) This week's challenge is to make a card with a bird on it. I also used CPS's Sketch #136 for this.

Christmas postage officially went on sale October 8th. I know it's still early, but I took the plunge and ordered enough stamps for all of my Christmas cards. I'm still working on getting envelopes though. Did you know they actually make $0.64 stamps? I'm gonna start buying these to send out my lumpy cards, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Snowflake Punch, Crystal Stickles, PTI Buttons, CTMH Brads, and Friskars Border Punch

Mr. Linky Note: Please link directly to the blog post or gallery page where we can view/comment on your creation and not just the generic link to your blog. I hope you all have a great Sunday! I will be cleaning, crafting, and shopping. Ann Taylor is having a huge Columbus Day sale and I really want some new clothes for the Manager's Conference. Brent has a golf date...so I have the house to myself! :)

My Cuppa' Joe

This is another fun image I got from Beth. You all know how much I lovey my Starbucks coffee...so this image was perfect! Jenn said he looks like an Ugly Doll, lol. I actually think Ugly Dolls are cute! I also used Crazy 4 Challenges Sketch #4 for this as well.

Paper: My Minds Eye Breaking Free
Stamps: Doodle Factory, sentiment is Gina K
Copics, PTI Buttons, and EK Success Border Punch

Everyone have a fabulous Saturday! I'll be watching college football, barbecuing, and hanging out with friends. Since I won't be home, I will be commenting on all blogs tomorrow! I also hope to get some late night crafting done too. Go BEAVS!
