Christmas Card Challenge Week #26 - Tistheseasontobejollyabella Card

Wow, can you believe it that I've been making Christmas cards for 6 months already?!? I will say that the only downfall to making Christmas cards this early is that I want new Christmas stamps already and it's only May, lol. This week's challenge is to make your card with scraps.

Also, since it's my half year point, I'm going to give away some fun stuff. I don't have a pic yet, but will update it sometime today. I'm taking a class at Amuse today, so it may be late for you East Coast peeps. I have some PTI Vintage Buttons, Prima Flowers, Stickles, Patterned Paper and some more goodies to give away!

You have until Saturday, June 6th at midnight to create a Christmas card with scraps and I'll randomly draw a winner. Plus, since I used a Bella, if you use a Bella on your card, I'll enter your name twice. :) I've posted 4 Bella cards in a row this week!

Paper: Christmas Stack
Stamps: Stamping Bella, Sentiment is Amuse
Nestabilities, Copics, CTMH Brads, and Crystal Stickles

I know my card might not look like it was made from "scraps" but all the elements were just stray and left over parts of previous projects that I never used. So anything like that in the sorts works.

Mr. Linky Note: Please link directly to the blog post or gallery page where we can view/comment on your creation and not just the generic link to your blog. To get the full url, click the title of your blog post (which will load a page that has just that post on it), then copy and paste the URL into the Mr. Linky form. Thanks and please still post a comment!

I'm taking a Copic marker class and I'm sure Rachel will talk me into buying some of the "oh-so-darling" new summer stamps that Amuse just released last week. Sigh, lol. Who am I kidding, you all know I won't come home empty handed. :)

Stamping Bella Ketto Stamps Blog Hop - Wasabi Ketto Card

Welcome to our Stamping Bella Ketto Stamps Blog Hop! If you've just stumbled upon my blog, please go to Emily's blog, the Queen Bella herself, to start at the very beginning. If you came here from Lesley's blog, then you're right on track.

Isn't Wasabi just the cutest? I think she's my favorite Ketto, besides Kenya. She's holding a sparkler in her hand, and with my name, I just can't but lovey her lots. I did order her, but unfortunately she didn't ship in time for the blog hop.

A QUICK NOTE: There's some fabulous eye candy out there for you today, but make sure you comment on each post, because there is a hidden prize!! One pre-selected blogger will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a $40 Gift Voucher to Stamping Bella!!! The fun part is...we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, don't forget to leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! We will announce the winner on Monday.

Paper: Prima Peaches
Stamps: Stamping Bella, Sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, Copics, Pearls, Nestabilites, and Crystal Stickles

I missed Janet's birthday, so I to get caught up, I made her this belated card. I just love the sentiment! Your next stop on the blog hop is Aileen's blog.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Blogger Issues? Help?

Ever since I got home, I haven't been able to leave comments on people's blogs that have their comments embedded in their blogs. Meaning, it doesn't go to another page when you go to put a comment in, it's usually just a box at the bottom of the post.

ETA: If your blog goes to a different page for your comments or has a pop-up window, I can still leave comments on there. It's just the ones that have embedded comments that I can't.

Has anyone else had issues with that? I've already cleared all my cookies, my cashe, etc...and still no go.

ETA: Yes, I'm using IE. I can change my browser on my home computer, but I can't on my work computer, so I'd rather not. Our IT guys would come and hunt me down.

Plus, I've been getting spam comments, even though I have the word verification thing on there. I may have to switch to moderating my comments, which makes me sad. :(

Bella Twisted Challenge #5 - Butterflyabella Card

This week's challenge is to make a non-rectangular card and use the colors brown and orange. I majorly cheated and only used orange, plus added a couple more colors, lol. I went the easy route and used my nestabilities to make the flower shape.

Paper: SU cardstock, DCWV Citrus Stack
Stamps: Stamping Bella, Sentiment is PTI
Bella Baubles, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

Everyone have a great Friday! Yeah, it's almost the weekend! Come back tomorrow for the Ketto Blog Hop!

That Thong th, Thong, Thong, Thong

Since I was gone this last week, I'm not quite done with my Bella Twisted Challenge #5. I will post it tomorrow. But be sure to check out Hope's blog or the Bella Challenge Forum for this week's challenge.

Somewhere along the line it became a tradition to give and receive thongs at our bachelorette parties. I originally wanted to make Catherine one of those underwear and bra cards, but then I didn't want to be known as the girl who made the "butt" and "boobs" cards all weekend, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Lime Rickey
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Prima Flowers, Rhinestones, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

So I made her this instead. Her wedding colors were yellow and blue, so had to keep the theme. And yes, I got her some blue and yellow underwear, lol. I also got us cute blue t-shirts that say "bride" and "maid of honor." The rest, I got them shirts that said "bridesmaid." It's my OCD and that everything has to be matchy, matchy.

But I just realized that you can't see what our shirts say in the picture. We had a fabulous time at the spa though! Everyone have a great Thursday...what do you think of So You Think You Can Dance so far?

Sending You Some Sunshine

Out of the this set, this image is my favorite. It reminds me of when I went snorkeling with Catherine in Costa Rica. Of course we didn't look as cute as Lily does, lol. It's hard to see, but there's also Liquid Glass on her goggles.

Paper: SU Pink Flamingo
Stamps: Pink Cat Studio
PTI Buttons, Copics, Crystal Stickles, and Rhinestones

Everyone have a great hump day! It's back to work for me...but yeah for a short work week!

Country Roads, Take Me Home...and a New Design Team

Hi everyone! I made it back home safely and am sad to see that it looks like it's about to rain. I know it was gorgeous while I was gone, humph. But it was also gorgeous in Morgantown, WV as well. It was 89 degrees the day of the wedding!

Here's me and Catherine. Isn't she just a gorgeous bride?!? I had a wonderful time and it was a phenomenal wedding. Eventually I will post the rest of the wedding pics on Facebook.

Yesterday Judi posted up the new Design Team for Angel's Landing and I am very happy to be joining this group. I will be on the design team from June through August.

With the month winding down and June around the corner, I will be ending my DT terms with Odd Bird Planet and with DogGone Stamps.

I originally planned starting the summer DT free, but some wonderful oppertunities have come up and I just couldn't pass them up. Kelly is such a sweetheart and I will be staying with KL Stampin n Scrappin until December. In July I will be joining a new team with a brand new stamping company...and more on that once we get closer.

At this time, I'm still planning on being a CBCC Chick and with the revised Bella Forum, you will see me co-hosting blog hops, Bella Bashes, and any other Bella monthly event. These events will be hosted monthly and on top of the weekly challenges we will have.

Anya and Ian have totally swept my heart, so I still hope to either make a Gardener spot or a spot on Team Anya one day.

I hope you're all having a great Tuesday!

Monochromatic Mermaid Anya

The other challenge for the new release was to make a monochromatic card. Since green is my favorite color, I tend to gravitate towards that way. This is me without highlights, if I were a mermaid. :)

I took today off work so I could recover from flying all day yesterday and being jetlag. I hope to get all caught up with my emails and then hopefully hit the craft room! We'll see how far I get off the couch, lol.

Paper: SU and CTMH Cardstock, MME Bloom and Grow
Stamps: the Greeting Farm, sentiment is PTI

Everyone have a great Tuesday!

Live Your Bliss

Happy Memorial Day! Here is a card I made for KL Stampin n Scrappin. I hope you're all having a great holiday. I'll be flying home today. Nice thing about coming home is that I get 3 hours back of my day, lol.

Paper: SU Bella Rose
Stamps: Magnolia, Sentiment is PTI
Prima Flowers, Nestabilities, CTMH Brads, Copics, and Rhinestones

Everyone have a great day! Please be safe and well.

Christmas Card Challenge Week #25

This weeks challenge is to use your favorite seasonal stamp or stamp set.

My favorite winter stamp set ever is Snow Friends from Close To My Heart. I got it back when it was still just a Stamp of the Month, though now it's a regular set in the catalog.

Can you believe I've been making Christmas cards for almost half a year already? Next week will be a challenge with a big prize! :)

Paper: CTMH, Christmas Stack
Stamps: CTMH, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, American Craft Buttons, Twine, and Crystal Stickles

Mr. Linky Note: Please link directly to the blog post or gallery page where we can view/comment on your creation and not just the generic link to your blog. Today I will be relaxing and spending some BFF time with Catherine. Her and Chris are doing the delayed Honeymoon thing just like Brent and I did for ours, so she'll still be in town on my last day there. The rest of my college friends/sorority sisters flew out early today.

Well, I hope you're all having a great holiday weekend. I am flying home tomorrow, but probably won't be online til Tuesday. :)

Catherine's Big Day

Today is Catherine's and Chris's wedding. I am so excited for her and I'm sure that once I get back to Seattle, I'll have lots of fun stories to tell you all. Brent and I wish them a lifetime of happiness.

Their wedding colors are blue and yellow...so I used a yellow flower. Trying to add blue to the mix just made the card look funny. Our bridesmaids dresses are yellow, so I think I can get away with it, lol. I got this image last year from Wish RAK right before my own wedding.

Paper: Making Memories
Stamps: SU Here Comes the Bride
Prima Flowers, CTMH Ribbon, and PTI Button

Everyone have a great weekend...I'll be exhausted and puffy from all the pollen by the end of the wedding. :)

Sketch Challenge with Flutter Anya

On the 14th, the Greeting Farm had their release party for the new Anya and Ian stamps. They had their party on Paper Craft Planet...which I'm sorry to say I don't log on to very often. I went for a bit and wanted to play the challenges.

But I couldn't figure out when they were due. I saw they announced the winners the very next morning, lol, so obviously they were due that night. Oh, well...I honestly couldn't make a card in one hour, lol. I'm too picky.

Paper: Basic Grey Ambrosia
Stamps: the Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
PTI Buttons, Crystal Stickles, Rhinestones, and Copics

Today will be a great day with the girls and doing any last minute stuff for Catherine's wedding tomorrow. We have rehearsal dinner tonight as well. I hope you all have a great Friday!

Bella Twisted Challenge #4 - Huggabugg Card

For Hope's challenge this week, it's to decorate the inside of your card.

Well, I had a fun time with this card, but it was a bit challenging. I bought some 6x6 paper on Etsy, so I only had one sheet of each print. All the colors match though and I love all the glitter. If you upload to SCS, use the keyword BTC4.

Paper: DCWV Citrus Stack
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Prima Flowers, Rhinestones, Crystal Stickles, and Copics

I don't own a Big Shot or the Top Note die. But I got the cut outs from Wish RAK. I just glued them down on Real Red card stock and trimmed around them with my scissors.

I'll be heading to Pittsburgh today to go the spa with the girls. It's been a roomie tradition and I'm excited to relax and get a pedicure. I hope you all have a great Thursday!

I'm missing the premiere of So You Think You Can Dance, but it'll be on my DVR when I get back. :) My boss's daughter's boyfriend tried out when they came to Seattle. He made it to the judges, but not to Vegas.

Birthday Wishes

I know I've been saying it forever, but I'm so excited to see my best friend! I haven't seen her since my wedding last July. I won't be back home til next Tuesday, but don't worry-- I have scheduled posts for the whole week that I'll be gone. Unless Blogger crashes, all should be good. :)

I'll be super busy doing my Matron on Honor duties, I probably won't have time to be online. I promise to answer emails and post comments to your wonderful blogs once I get back to Seattle. Everyone have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend!

Paper: CTMH, Basic Grey Lime Rickey
Stamps: Pink Cat Studio, Sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, CTMH Bigger Brads, Copics, Crystal Stickles and Rhinestones

I've had these stamps since they were released...and I'm just getting to inking them up. Isn't Lily just the cutest? I put glitter on her polka dots and in real life it makes my card darling. Glitter never captures well, so in real life her dress doesn't look so dark and weird, lol.

Green is my favorite color and I also used some Taffy for those closet Taffy lovers! :) I know it's probably CTMH's least popular color.

Ian in Paris?

Due to life, the CBCC Chicks have decided to take a mini break. We'll be back with challenges starting the first Tuesday in June. Also, we've made a few changes and will start doing the challenges bi-weekly instead of every week. That will give you all more time to participate in the challenges.

Isn't Anya's partner is crime just darling? This Ian is so European to me and reminds me of my honeymoon in Europe. Maybe I should of put Bon Jour instead of Hello, lol.

Paper: SU Washington Apple
Stamps: the Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, Nestabilites, and Dew Drops

Everyone have a great Tuesday! Who agrees with me that Adam will win Idol?!?

Hello Tilda

I made this Tilda card for KL Stampin n Scrappin. I also made this card for my SBS4 sister Deb. Her birthday isn't til June, but since she lives on the other side of the pond, it'll take a bit to get to her.

Paper: SU Raspberry Tart
Stamps: Magnolia, Sentiment is Amuse
Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, Copics, Crystal Stickles, White Gel Pen, and Nestabilities

I went and got my nails done on Saturday for Catherine's wedding. I haven't had acrylics on since my own wedding last summer. In efforts to save money for the house, I gave up my nails. I use to get them done every 2 weeks. Obviously I couldn't give up rubbah or my primas, lol.

I forgot how much I love them though, sigh. Though I'm horrible. My favorite thing is to click my nails together. No lectures please. :) I may have to give up some rubbah so I can get a fill in a couple of weeks, lol.

Everyone have a great Monday!

Christmas Card Challenge Week #24

This week's challenge is to make 3 x 6 inch cards. I got this Whipper Snapper image from Wish RAK and I accidentally made a mistake while I was coloring. But since no one in my family is crafty, I doubt they'll notice when I send it.

Paper: Scenic Route
Stamps: Whipper Snapper, Sentiment is Amuse
Nestabilities, PTI Ribbon, CTMH Button, Twine, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a great Sunday! I'll be doing my last minute packing for my trip!

Pink All Around Happy Birthday Card

I just love Sprinkle...she's a mean one, lol. But today she's relaxing in her floatie. She still looks a little grumpy, right? :) I've been wanting to play with my Sassafrass paper and thought this would just be a fun card.

Paper: Sassafrass
Stamps: Cat's Pajamas, Sentiment is CTMH
Copics, Prima Flowers, CTMH Brads, and Nestabilities

Everyone have a great Saturday! I leave to go to West Virgina in 4 days!

With Sympathy

Okay, I lied. I did originally have a cute Lily birthday card to share today, but one of my co-worker's dad died on Wednesday morning. She had to fly out to Iowa and I'm not sure when she's coming back. Since I'm leaving to go to West Virgina next week, I wanted to make something for her before I left.

I got this image from Wish RAK. Whats weird is that this is the first time I've ever used this image. I usually tend to use the bunny thats also part of the stamp set. Denise's favorite color is blue, but everything I tried to make looked either so cold or just so dark. So I went with bright and warm colors.

Paper: K&Co Que Sera
Stamps: SU, sentiment is PTI
Prima Flowers, Pearls, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

On a happier note, I hope you're all enjoying your Friday! I'm getting my hair highlighted and cut after work! :) Yeah, it's almost the weekend!

Bella Twisted Challenge #3 - Cakeabella Card

With us restructuring the Bella Forum, we'll be having lots of fun things going on starting in June. With that, I am renewing my dedication to doing the Bella challenges. :) It's been such a long time and I truly miss playing with my Bellas all the time.

For Hope's Twisted Challenge this week, it's to make a card using the colors blue and yellow. The only catch is that you can't use any designer or patterned paper. At first I was going to random stamp and make some background of my own, but decided to go the "easy" route and just use my Cuttlebug, lol.

Paper: CTMH and SU Cardstock
Stamps: Stamping Bella, Sentiment is Amuse
CTMH Ribbon, CTMH Buttons, CTMH Brads, Twine, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

Remember back when I asked you all about Birthday calendars and sending out cards? Well, I was doing great until April...when I moved. I finally am just getting all caught up and now working on May birthdays. Jamie's birthday is at the end of the month, so surely this one should get to her on time, lol. For the next few days all you will see are birthday cards!

Everyone have a great Thursday! It's the 2 hour season finale of Grey's! :) Then I'll be sad, because I'll have to go a whole 4 months until my show comes back, lol.

Rosalie's Bicycle

I'm sure you're all "Sarah Kay-ed" out from all of my recent posts, but this is my last one for awhile. Just bare with me through the post, lol. I got this image from Wish RAK.

This card was for Anna (my step mom) for Mother's Day. Her favorite color is pink, but has a new passion for green. I thought this paper would work great. Anna isn't one to appreciate crafty stuff, but I hope she liked my card.

Paper: SU Tea Party
Stamps: Sarah Kay and PTI
Prima Flowers, Pearls, Crystal Stickles, Ribbon, and Copics

Everyone have a great hump day!

Geisha Anya Card and Created By Courtney Challenge #38

This weeks challenge is to use people as inspiration. You can probably already guess who inspired this card.

My mother loved Asian themed stuff and would buy it all, lol. Though my mom was Chinese, she loved Japanese stuff just as much. And of course she was born and raised on the Big Island, so that's where the Aloha comes from.

And just a tad bit if you didn't already know...Marie, the owner of the Greeting Farm, is Hmong...which is the other half of my nationality. So Anya was very fitting for this challenge.

Paper: CTMH Cardstock
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, Sentiment is Stamping Bella
Prima Flowers, Rhinestones, Copics, and Pearls

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team's projects. All of them are listed here in this CBC Challenge Chicks list. If you play along with us, remember to link your creation to Courtney's blog, and you could win a prize from Courtney! If you upload to SCS, the keyword is CBCC38.

Everyone have a great Tuesday!

Wishing You Happiness

Here is a card I made for KL Stampin n Scrappin. And I just noticed that Kelly put up my Sarah Kay on the front page! It's been awhile since I have played with my little friends from Sweden and I have missed them. Isn't Edwin just darling all dolled up?

Paper: CTMH
Stamps: Magnolia, Sentiment is Amuse
PTI Buttons, Copics, and White Gel Pen

Well, I hope you all have a great Monday! It's back to work for me...

Christmas Card Challenge Week #23

This week's challenge is dry embossing. I was going through my scraps and found these pieces that I had used my Cuttlebug on. Since most of my paper is CTMH, I've found that if I run 2 pieces at a time, it doesn't show the white core through.

These Penny Black hedgehogs were given to me through Wish RAK. They've been sitting around forever and thought I should finally use them.

Paper: CTMH, Basic Grey Figgy Pudding
Stamps: Penny Black, Sentiment is Amuse
Copics, Liquid Applique, Cuttlebug
