OBP Earth Day Winner and Espresso Yourself Card

Sorry that I didn't post this sooner, but my winner for my Odd Bird Planet color challenge is Shaela. There will be a master list of all the winners on Johanna's blog. They're still getting the names for the individual challenges and then they'll go into the big pot for the grand prizes. Thanks to everyone who played with me!

This card is for my Bella Sistah Jessica. Most would say that these cute buggs are sitting in a teacup, but to me, they're sitting in a coffee mug. :)

Paper: CTMH, My Minds Eye Penny Lane
Stmaps: Stamping Bella, Sentiment is Elzybells
PTI Buttons, CTMH Ribbon, Twine, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

Created By Courtney Challenge #36

This week's challenge is a color challenge. Lori Olive was so sweet to get me this paper pack from SU. Since it has most of the right colors in it, I was inclined to use it. I did add some So Saffron to it.

Wow, two Sarah Kay cards in a row. I actually made this card before I made yesterday's card, lol. But aren't these girls just the cutest?

Paper: SU Teaparty
Stamps: Sarah Kay and Sentiment is Stamping Bella
Prima Flowers, CTMH Blooms, CTMH Buttons, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team's projects. All of them are listed here in this CBC Challenge Chicks list. If you play along with us, remember to link your creation to Courtney's blog, and you could win a prize from Courtney! If you upload to SCS, the keyword is CBCC36.

Everyone have a great Tuesday!

Happy Monday all! Here is a card I made for KL Stampin n Scrappin. I'm so excited that Kelly will be selling Stampavie images! Sarah Kay is my favorite out of all of the Stampavie lines. Also, my new Basic Grey paper came in last week so of course I had to play with it!

Paper: Basic Grey Wisteria
Stamps: Sarah Kay and CTMH
Prima Flowers, Dew Drops, Crystal Stickles, and Copics

I hope you all have a lovely day! It's back to work for me.

DogGone Stamps Blog Hop

I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far! If you've been following the blog hop, then you would of just came from Jacilynn's blog. If not, please go to Lauri's blog for the start of the blog hop.

With Father's Day around the corner, I've been trying to muster up some more masculine cards. I tend to fall short on these, but I just love this fisherman! Your next stop on the blog hop is Mary's blog.

Paper: CTMH
Stamps: DogGone Stamps
Copics, CTMH and PTI Buttons

This image reminds me of Vic, my mailman in Denver while I was working at the Training Center. He was such a sweet guy and was retiring 2 weeks after I left Denver. And then he was going to Jamaica. I miss having such a nice mailman, lol. Of course now at work I never see them and my mail just appears in my box.

Teacher Anya

With my crazy schedule this week, I'm sorry that my posting time has been wonky. Tomorrow we're doing a blog hop for DogGone Stamps...and then I promise to go back to normal with my Christmas Card Challenge.

Jenn and I were arguing over how Anya should be colored. I said a red head with a green apple. Jenn said a blonde with a red apple. So...I'm still working on the blonde card, lol. I'll post her soon.

Paper: SU Bella Rose
Stamps: Greeting Farm and CTMH
PTI Buttons, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

Everyone have a great Friday! Yeah, it's almost the weekend!

mmm...Doughnuts!

Don't forget, you still have until midnight Pacific Time today to enter into my Earth Day challenge, which is in the post below.

I originally colored this little mousey for a totally different project. At the last minute, I decided not to use him. He's been sitting in my pile of scraps for weeks now. It's really hard to see, but I put liquid glass and stickles on the frosting. I got the pink paper from Wish RAK as SU scraps...so not really sure what color or what paper pack its from.

Paper: SU and Bo Bunny
Stamps: House Mouse, Sentiment is Amuse
Liquid Glass, Crystal Stickles, Copics, PTI Buttons, and Rhinestones

I hope you all have a great Thursday! Grey's is a new episode tonight. :)

Odd Bird Planet Earth Day Challenge

For my challenge, I picked a color challenge. With it being Earth Day, the colors are blue, green, and brown.

You have until midnight on Thursday to participate in all of the challenges. Here is a link to Johanna's blog with all of the information, prizes, and challenge schedules. I will pick a winner from my challenge and you will win either an Earth or a Limited Edition Al on Earth stamp. And if you win my challenge, your name goes into a pot to win one of the grand prizes.

Since you all know how much I love coffee...this is my favorite gnome. I was a bit sad this morning when it rained, since it's been so nice lately. But that's what my cup of joe is for...it brightens my day.

Paper: SU Cardstock, SU Urban Garden
Stamps: Odd Bird Planet Kelly's Gnome in a Teacup, Whats Brewing
Prima Flowers, Rhinestones, and Copics

If you have Odd Bird Planet stamps...use them. :) If ya don't, don't worry, still play with us! You can use any stamps and still have a chance to win.

Blog Candy Winner and Happy Earth Day!

Sorry I didn't post this earlier...life has gotten past me while moving and getting settled in. I loved all the stories of your first homes and cars. :) I used random.org and it pulled up #32. Comment #32 is Denise Wells! So congrats on your $10 for KL Stampin n Scrappin. Kelly will email you! :)

The Odd Bird Design Team will be holding challenges all day today to celebrate Earth Day, starting at 6am PACIFIC time. Please click here for the list of the Odd Bird Planet Design Team.

My challenge slot time is 6pm - 9pm Pacific time, so I won't have any artwork up until then. I hope you will come back later and play with me. You can use any stamps for the challenges, so please don't be shy if you don't have any Odd Bird Planet stamps yet. Johanna is giving away a ton of prizes! The grand prize is $100 of Odd Bird Planet stamps!

Anyhoo- I hope you have a great day and see ya later tonight!

Created By Courtney Challenge #35

This weeks challenge is to use your brayer. I'm embarrassed to say it's been at least a year, if not longer since the last time I used mine. I don't even own a rubber one, I still have a sponge one, lol.

I stamped the black butterflies first and then I used 5 different Close To My Heart Blues and rolled them on from lightest to darkest. My picture looks kindof washed out...but its really more vibrant in real life. The sentiment, I got from Kari. :)

Paper: SU Cardstock
Stamps: CTMH Butterflies
PTI Buttons and Floss

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team's projects. All of them are listed here in this CBC Challenge Chicks list. If you play along with us, remember to link your creation to Courtney's blog, and you could win a prize from Courtney! If you upload to SCS, the keyword is CBCC35.

Everyone have a great Tuesday!

PS...this is what I made the last I used my brayer. It was a challenge that Pam Klassen did on the CTMH boards. While hunting for this on Livejournal...I forgot how much I use to scrapbook. :( I really should get on my 2008 album...that's where I stopped.

Magnolia Tilda and a New Desk

ETA: Someone asked about my desk, but there wasn't a link or an email address, so I'm adding the information here in hopes that they'll check back.

My desk is from IKEA. The style name is Jonas and it's available both online or in local stores if you live by one. There are different styles, so its the Jonas desk with pull out panel. The desk is actually a computer/study desk and the extension on the right side does slide in.

I haven't had the desk for even 24 hours yet, but so far I really like it. I do miss having drawers though. I may eventually save up and get the drawer units that match.

Happy Monday! Here's a card I made for KL Stampin n Scrappin. Kelly just started pre-ordering for Stampavie! She'll be carrying Rachelle Anne Miller, Sarah Kay, and Lelo Designs. All orders this month that are $50 or more qualify for free shipping with the code APR2009.

Paper: Cosmo Cricket
Stamps: Mangolia, CTMH
Prima Flowers, Pearls, White Gel Pen, Copics, Crystal Stickles, and Nestabilities

Ever since we moved to Denver, I haven't had my own desk. For the last 3 years, I've been sharing a table with the computer and creating on an end table that is about 13 inches by 13 inches.

Well...as a belated birthday gift, my hubby bought me this nice desk and chair. I saw this really awesome and comfy chair at IKEA, but I couldn't justify spending $150 for it when I could get one just as good cheaper. Brent said maybe for my birthday next year, lol. :)

My craft room isn't anywhere near set up yet...so I will post more pictures as I go. You can see that we don't have our blinds yet, but they'll be here in a couple of weeks. :)

Everyone have a great Monday...it's back to work for me.

Christmas Card Challenge Week #20

Wow, I can't believe we're on week 20 already! I'm still a little behind with all the moving, but I'll still be making up the ones I've missed. I hope to get them done soon.

I know this isn't very traditional...but as soon as I saw the pink/black candy canes, I knew I wanted to use Anya. It would be awesome if the sentiment said Jingle Bell Rock, lol.

I'm not sure what paper stack this is, as I bought it from Etsy. It was a Christmas paper set that I got for a good deal. As I'm looking at my picture now, I realized you can't see some of the holes on the buttons, lol. And this card is kindof crazy busy, but I dig it.

I hope you all have a great Sunday! Brent and I are doing some cleaning and a bit of shopping. It's so awesome to have a fridge again! :)

Clovers or Pansies?

This Tilda is actually from the St. Patty's Collection. Since I didn't get her in time to use it, I copied an idea I saw from Kerry. Isn't she just precious?!? I'm so behind on mailing stuff out for my raining cards for the Magnolia Yahoo Group, so this will go postal soon!

Paper: My Minds Eyes Penny Lane
Stamps: Magnolia, CTMH
Prima Flowers, Pearls, Copics, and Rhinestones

I hope you all have a fabulous Friday! Yeah, it's almost the weekend! Anyone got any big plans?!?

I'm getting my fridge tomorrow! And then I'm going to Safeway to fill it up, lol. I miss eating fresh food! I eat yogurt, apples, carrots, and drink milk everyday. I don't know how I've gone so long without it. I miss eating salad, lol.

Golfafella Birdie Card

Sorry I'm a bit late...here's my card for the Bella Color Challenge. I love how it came out. It's my FIL's birthday in a couple of weeks and he's an avid golfer!

I hope you're all having a great Thursday! Idol fans...tell me who got kicked off last night! I'm sooooooo happy to have my TV tonight, lol.

Bella Color Challenge #76

Hope's dad has been in the hospital, so I'm filling in. In his honor, I picked a more masculine color combo.

Comcast is coming at 8am to install the cable and internet...so I will come back and upload my sample at 10am Pacific Time.

Here is the link to the Color Challenge in the Bella Forum. Everyone have a great Thursday and I'm sooooooooooo happy I get to watch Grey's tonight! :)

You're Cool Beans

What beats a cupcake and coffee for breakfast?!? This was my first Riley that I ever bought and then it was just downhill from there, lol. This is smaller card for me, only being 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches.

Paper: My Minds Eye Penny Lane
Stamps: Hanna Stamps, Sentiment is Elzybells
Copics and CTMH accessories

I just got my new batch of DogGone stamps, so next Wednesday, I will be back to posting my DT work. I'm very late with my Odd Bird Planet DT work, but I will have some fun things to share with you all soon.

I'm so excited to be getting back to my normal blog schedule...and like having that extra spare time if I need to finish up something right before I post it. :) And just think, by the time I come home tomorrow night, the cable will be installed and I can watch Grey's! Just a day away, lol.

Everyone have a great hump day!

Created By Courtney Challenge #34

This week's challenge is to use a toy as an inspiration. Emily's favorite character is Elmo...and Sarah was so sweet to send me images of him.

I have my card done...but of course my picture is on my thumb drive...and not with me as I am typing this. I will come back and post my picture around 10am Pacific Time.

Moving and having no internet at home as made me gone crazy...can you tell?!?

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team's projects. All of them are listed here in this CBC Challenge Chicks list. If you play along with us, remember to link your creation to Courtney's blog, and you could win a prize from Courtney! If you upload to SCS, the keyword is CBCC33.

Everyone have a great Tuesday!

ETA: I love Sesame Street and Grover is my favorite! My dad use to buy me all Grover stuff and read me Grover books. Not quite sure why he went the Elmo route with Emily, lol.

Emily loves her Elmo and he does almost everything with her. Its so cute, because she even eats breakfast with him. :)

Paper: CTMH, Cosmo Cricket
Stamps: CTMH and Stampabilities
Copics, CTMH Brads, MS Border Punch, Nestabilities, and Gel Pen

Everyone have a great Tuesday! 2 more days until I get cable and internet back! :) My Idol fans, you'll have to let me know how this week goes.

Christmas Card Challenge Week #19

Don't forget about my blog candy over here.

Comcast is coming out on Thursday, the 16th. I can't wait to have internet and cable at home again. Unfortunately I didn't get my Christmas cards done in time (it's Friday as I'm typing this)...so I don't have any cards to show yet. I probably will by Monday, which is really Tuesday, since I have to do Monday's post on Friday night too. :)

Mr. Linky Note: Please link directly to the blog post or gallery page where we can view/comment on your creation and not just the generic link to your blog. To get the full url, click the title of your blog post (which will load a page that has just that post on it), then copy and paste the URL into the Mr. Linky form. I hope you're all having a great Easter weekend. I wanted to go home, but since Brent's working today, I decided that I would go clean up the apartment and do some laundry.

I do have a card for tomorrow...and am catching up on all my design team work! I promise to get back to people and will visit blogs as much as I can!

Water Skiing Riley

Don't forget about my blog candy over here.

While cleaning and unpacking, I found some images that were half colored and never made into cards. This Riley is colored a little bit different then I normally color him, but I like how my card came out. The bottom sentiment is Amuse, given to me by my buddy Rachel.

Paper: My Minds Eye Penny Lane
Stamps: Hanna Stamps, MFT Twisted Sentiments, Amuse
PTI Buttons, CTMH Buttons, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a great Saturday!

Birthday Love

I just wanted to let everyone know I got the mail box situation figured out! I was able to get my mail yesterday. Since my house isn't quite set up yet, I decided to put up all my cards at work.

Brent and I still have the apartment until the end of the month, so anything sent there, I'll still get. Since we don't have our washer, dryer, and fridge yet, we've been going there to pick up food and do laundry too.

I also found my camera battery charger! :) It was in the printer box...who would of thought, lol?!? So I promise you'll see pictures of the car soon! Again, thanks for all the birthday and house warming wishes! I truly appreciate all the time you all take to stop by my blog!

Everyone enjoy your Thursday!

Blog Candy...and a Sellabella Card

Kelly is so great and is giving away a $10 gift certificate to KL Stampin n Scrappin for my birthday! The new Chasing Butterflies Magnolia stamps are available now for Pre-Ordering. Just a great way to spend this if you win. :)

In this last month, I have done some major life purchasing and transitions. Turning 27 doesn't depress me, lol...but I do feel so much like a grown up now.

So, to enter for the $10 to KL Stampin n Scrappin, leave me a comment and tell me about your first home or your first car. It can be funny, sad, goofy, or horrible. You all will have until Sunday, April 19th to enter. I will pick the winner on Monday morning.

I made this card for our realtor Carmen. She was so great with Brent and I and truly appreciate all the hard work she did. She had been showing us houses since before Christmas, so we have spent a lot of time together these last few months.

Paper: SU Tea Party
Stamps: Stamping Bella, CTMH
Prima Flowers, CTMH Buttons, Copics, and Rhinestones

Since Brent and I went to different colleges, we never really spent a whole lot of time together. Moving to Denver was a true test of our relationship. I went from seeing him once a weekend to 365 days out of the year, lol. Even though we didn't live in the best neighborhood in Denver, our apartment was nice. It had 2 bedrooms and was close to where I worked. It was also close to Archivers and the mall, lol. I truly miss it there. When we left Denver, we had just got to that point where it felt like "home."

Getting my first job at 16 meant I had to be able to drive myself there after school. So my first car was a 1992 Toyota Corolla. I only kept it for 2 years, as I got a brand new Civic (my car that got stolen) when I graduated high school. I was a nice big sister and gave that car to my brother, who actually still drives it today. Wow, I just realized that car is 17 years old.

My best memories of that car are driving around with my high school best friend Nicole and we'd sing all the songs from Brandy's CD Never Say Never at the top of our lungs.

Well, enough rambling for me today. I hope you all have a great Thursday! No Grey's again for me...Comcast can't come out til next week. :(
