Sweethearts Anya and Ian

Aren't they just soooooooooo cute?!? I love this image. And do you love Anya's hot pink strand of hair? I tend to self reflect when I color...hence why my males always tend to be blonde, lol. Though Brent's hair is typical bleached blonde white. :)

Paper: Basic Grey Bittersweet
Stamps: the Greeting Farm, CTMH
Prima Flowers, Bella Baubles, and Copics

In the morning we're going to Macy's with my Aunt Nancy and Uncle John. I think my Aunt is buying me China because its something my mom would of done. It's bittersweet to me as our relationship has changed so much since my dad married Anna. But my dad is my dad...and it makes me miss my mom. Whats funny though, is that I'll have a lovely set of China and no dinner table in my new house, lol. :)

I know as soon as Emily sees our Aunt, she's gonna want to come with us! Then later we're eating dinner with the In-laws at Henry's downtown. I haven't eaten there since the girls took me for my bachelorette party. The food is great there though, so I'm looking forward to it!

Have a great Saturday!

Giesha Anya

I'm leaving to go to Portland today and I won't be back til Monday night. My dad and Anna live out in the boonies, lol, so they don't have cable or internet. I will have internet at my In-laws, so I should be able to peek in over the weekend. If you have any questions though, I may not answer til I get back. I do have scheduled posts for you all while I'm away.

She reminds of the movie and book Memoirs of a Geisha. Last summer while I was getting fillings done at the dentist, I watched it. I was late getting back to work, so I didn't stay to finish watching the movie. I really need to rent it and watch it again...or just read the book, lol.

Paper: CTMH, DCVW
Stamps: The Greeting Farm
Prima Flowers, Rhinestones, Ribbon, and Copics

I will be celebrating Christmas with the Bliatouts and the Smiths, Emily's 3rd birthday, and more China shopping with my Aunt. Thats a lot to pack into one weekend.

If I can get away from the fam for just a bit, I want to go to Craft Warehouse. Gotta take advantage of the tax free crafting goods, lol! Everyone have a great weekend! I will update you on the house when we get back.

Elegant Spousabella Card

Happy Thursday all! I had so much fun with this card! I haven't played with my Bellas in awhile and needed to ink up some of my oldies! :) I masked Spousabella's bouquet of flowers out of her hand and paper pieced her dress together. Isn't she just gorgeous?!?

Paper: CTMH Silhouette
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Prima Flowers, CTMH Ribbon, Buttons, and Copics

In the Copic Chatter Thread on SCS, we've been talking about marker storage and they wanted to see my A muse tin. I thought it would be fun to share with you all too. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold all of my markers, so my browns and greys are lonesome. I will soon have another tin though! Thanks Rachel!

Hope you have a great day and yeah for Grey's tonight!

For You Giraffe

After I colored in the giraffe's eyes, I thought it went from cutesy to kindof scary. Jenn said it looked sarcastic. She wanted me to use one of my Twisted Sentiments with it. If this card were for my personal use, I totally would of, lol! But since it's my DT work that I will be sending in...thought I better keep it appropriate! :)

Paper: CTMH Expedition
Stamps: DogGone Stamps Giraffe
CTMH Ribbon, Prima Flowers, Eyelets, Dew Drops, and Copics

Have you seen the new DCWV Safari Chic paper? It's so cute and I want it, but would I really make 100 animal print cards with it, lol?!? I found this Etsy store http://thienthanh.etsy.com/ that sells partial paper packs in 6x6 and 4x6 sheets. I think I will be buying paper from her more often! I'm one of those who tend to make a couple of cards and then I'm over the paper, lol. You don't want to know how many 1/2 stacks I have of Basic Grey paper sitting around.

And if I really fall in love with something, I can go buy it in 12x12 and maybe someday I'll scrapbook again! :)

ETA: Sorry I'm so late to post today. I wanted to wait so I could update you all on the house. The inspection went really well this morning! Things are looking good!

Over the weekend, I was asked how long it takes me to color. I will have to say that takes the longest part of my creating! I usually color while I'm watching my TV shows. But it usually takes about 15 minutes for me to color something. Sometimes longer if something exciting happens and I get into my show, lol.

This week's challenge is a color challenge! I also made this card for my SBS4 sister Seleise. It was her birthday on Sunday. Sorry you'll get it a bit late Seleise! I got the dragon image from Wish RAK. Aren't the High Hope stamps just adorable?!?

Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: High Hopes, CTMH
Prima Flowers, Dew Drops, Ribbon, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team's projects. All of them are listed here in this CBC Challenge Chicks list. If you play along with us, remember to link your creation to Courtney's blog, and you could win a prize from Courtney! If you upload to SCS, the keyword is CBCC27.

Everyone have a great Tuesday! Who are my Idol fans?!?

Dorothy Anya

House Update: We got all of our paperwork back for the house! We're having our inspection done on Tuesday at 7am. :( That's way too early for me, lol. But as long as it goes well, we should be good! Since the house is brand new, the inspection should be easy peasy.

KL Scrappin n Stampin: Don't forget to check out my Tilda card over on the KL SNS blog. Plus, if you the use the code FEB2009, you get 25% off your total for the rest of the month. They're pre-ordering Magnolia's for their Easter and St. Patty's collection, so don't miss out!

Paper: Basic Grey Urban Prairie
Stamps: The Greeting Farm Dorothy Anya
Prima Flowers, Buttons, Copics, and MS Border Punch

I'm trying out for a "Gardner" position on the Greeting Farm DT. My friend Jenn was so sweet to share with me and I made this for her! Isn't Anya just adorable?!? She reminds me of the Powerpuff Girls. Even though Buttercup seems to be the mean one, she's always been my favorite, lol. It was nice and sunny on Saturday, so that inspired the bright colors.

I hope you all have a great Monday! Tonight its the Women Tell All and Jason will be in the hot seat, lol.

Christmas Card Challenge #12

Every week, I'm making 2 Christmas cards, so by the first week of December 2009, I will have 104 cards already made. If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword SCCC12.

Next week we're going to have a free week...so just any Christmas card is great! I've been so busy with work and waiting on the house, I haven't had time to think of anything.

Now that you all know Tilda so well, I will introduce you to her other half Edwin. Isn't he just as cute?!? I hope you all had a great time with the sketch.

Paper: Basic Grey Figgy Pudding
Stamps: Magnolia and CTMH
Nestabilities, CTMH Bigger Brads, Copics, and Buttons

I hope you all have a great Sunday. We're still waiting to see about the house. The builders have been difficult and haven't followed through with anything they've said this last week. If we don't get what we want by the end of Monday, we're moving on...and we'll be back to square one.

Riley, Riley

A few have asked...so first, we're still waiting to hear back about the house. Hopefully I'll be back later with another update.

As for the hot knife, you all will have to wait until I get new stamps before I can take pictures of me cutting them! :) It'll probably be another couple of weeks or so until I get more rubber! But I won't forget about it...I promise.

My friend Kari sent me a valentine and some fun images. So to say thank you, I made her this St. Patty's Riley card.

Paper: CTMH, DCWV
Stamps: Hanna Stamps, CTMH
Copics, CTMH Bigger Brads, and Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing

I hope you all have a great Saturday! I will be home most of the day and will try to be domestic, lol. Crafty too!

And just a little tad bit...KL Stampin N Scrappin is doing pre-orders for Magnolia's St. Patty's and Easter Collections. Plus Kelly always sells them at 10% off.

Thank You Tilda

Here's a cute little card I made for my Etsy. This little darling Tilda is one of my favorites! Though she's a Winter collection, she looks very festive in hoping for Spring to come, lol. Oh, wait, thats me!

Paper: CTMH Unforgetable
Stamps: Magnolia, CTMH
Prima Flowers, Dew Drops, Copics, Nestabilities, MS Border Punch, and Cuttlebug

Yeah its Friday! And it's almost the weekend!

Good Luck

It's been forever since I've played with my meese! I have all the new Rileys too and haven't even inked them up! My wonderful Bella Sistah, Lori Olive, got me a Hot Knife, so I finally got everything on EZMount! Yes, it does smell if you do large quantities at a time and if you touch the rubber just a tad bit, lol, but oh, its so worth it! It cuts so nicely!

Paper: CTMH and SU
Stamps: Hanna Stamps, Sentiment is CTMH
Prima Flowers, Dew Drops, and Copic Markers

Last March, I didn't have this Riley yet, so I've been waiting a long time to use him, lol. Can you tell this is my favorite time of the year?!?

I'm on the edge of my seat to see what happens on Grey's and Private Practice, though I'm going to Nona's tonight. I hope you all have a great Thursday!

This stamp makes me think of Brent, because he's an University of Oregon Duck. I may have to find me a Beaver stamp. It's like he's giving me a peace offering the day after Civil war, lol.

This week's challenge is to stamp with bubble wrap. I took a square piece of bubble wrap and dipped it into white paint. Then I lightly pressed it against my Desert Sand cardstock. It made a neat and fun background piece for this cute card!

I would like to welcome Risa to the Chicks! She will be with us for the next 6 months and I have already added her to my Chicks List.

Paper: Basic Grey Bittersweet
Stamps: Magnolia Stamps, CTMH
Prima Flowers, Bella Baubles, Copics, and Nestabilities

Sending My Love

I also have a Magnolia card on the KL Stampin n Scrappin Blog!

Happy Monday all! While most of you probably have a holiday, I still have to go to work today. I know Valentine's Day is already over, but here's a card I made for and and sold in my Etsy.

While at Christine's last month, we all were pondering why HE is wearing shoes and SHE is not, lol. And ever since then it's been kindof bugging me. Anyone want to send an email to Sarah Kay and ask her?!? I'm just kidding! :)

Paper: Basic Grey Bittersweet
Stamps: Sarah Kay, CTMH
Prima Flowers, MM Heart Brads, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

I have about 1/2 a 6x6 pad left of this bittersweet paper and then I promise the pink will go away. I'm gonna start with my green kick soon!

I hope you all had or are still enjoying your weekend. Brent and I started car shopping and I think I'm going to get another silver Civic. I had such a cute Coupe, but this time I will be getting a Sedan. I miss having my cute little sporty car! :( The saddest part was that I bought it brand new in 2000 and it only had 83,000 miles on it. I seriously could of kept that car for at least another 5-7 years. Why did it have to get stolen?!? But State Farm did take good care of me and I got a better value for my car.

We test drove a brand new 2008 and a brand new 2009. We even drove a Hybrid, but we're leaning more towards a traditional gas car. It'll be so great once we get the house and then I can have a car again! Isn't it crazy that I haven't had a car for 5 months?!? We're hoping to hear back about the house on Tuesday! Everyone have a great day!

Christmas Card Challenge Week #11

Every week, I'm making 2 Christmas cards, so by the first week of December 2009, I will have 104 cards already made. If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword SCCC11.

Last week I challenged you to only use red and white. I must say that this challenge was a bit hard! I ended up using 2 shades of red and some black for her shoes. I always have a hard time leaving white space on my Tilda's...but I think she came out pretty good!

Paper: Basic Grey Wassail, CTMH Cardstock
Stamps: Magnolia, Sentiment is Amuse
Snowflake Punch, Crystal Stickles, Copcics, CTMH Brads, and Snowflake CB Folder

Mr. Linky Note: Please link directly to the blog post or gallery page where we can view/comment on your creation and not just the generic link to your blog. To get the full url, click the title of your blog post (which will load a page that has just that post on it), then copy and paste the URL into the Mr. Linky form. Thanks! Mr. Linky is located right below this paragraph.

For Week #12, I made a sketch for you to use. Once I changed my Photoshop file into a JPEG, the red layer made some of my black text get blurry. I'm not sure why...but I only have Photoshop on my work laptop, not my desktop at home...so sorry! Next time I will mess with it more and see whats wrong with the layering.

Everyone have a great Sunday and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day Chichibulie Card and Bella Sketch Challenge #65

As you can tell, I'm a little behind in challenges. But here is another sweet valentine I made.

Paper: Basic Grey Bittersweet
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Bella Baubles, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

Today Brent and I are going to the mall to get more China off of our registry. I've been holding on to our Macy's Rewards card (you get money back when people buy stuff off your registry) and the amount on there expires on February 28th. I had been waiting, because I thought I would buy the stuff when I was home, since there's no sales tax in Oregon. :) But because of the snow, we never went home for Christmas.

Then Brent is taking me to dinner at Salty's, a seafood restaurant. We've never been there, so I hope it's good. I'll probably order my favorite, salmon. I hope you all have a great day with your loved ones!

Washer and Dryer

When we get a house...do you think I can talk Brent into letting me get these?

Isn't the green awesome?!?

Hey Cupcake Huggabugg Card

ETA: We're back to negotiating with the bank on house #1 (Maple Valley). The bank gave us another counter offer since we turned down their last one. The rates have even gone lower on the conventional loans, so it's more in our favor. It's gonna be another bumpy week, lol. Keep your fingers crossed again!

Okay, I'm back to valentines! And it's Friday, and I have a darling cupcake for you! This card is actually only 4 x 4 inches and isn't she just adorable?!? Just a quick, easy, and cute card for Emily. :)

Today my department is going out to eat lunch at Cheesecake Factory! Yummy food and great dessert!

Paper: Basic Grey Bittersweet
Stamps: Stamping Bella, Sentiment is Amuse
Rhinestones, Nestabilities, Crystal Stickles and Copic Markers

I hope you all have a great Friday! Yeah, it's almost the weekend!

The Birdie and the Cupcake

Isn't this just a fun birthday card?!? The funny thing is that the cupcake is almost the same size as Charles! Remember, my rule is never to eat another bigger than your head, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Cupcake
Stamps: OBP
Charles Cardinal Left, Teresa's Banner, Bring on the Cupcakes!
Prima Flowers, Copic Markers, Bella Baubles, and Rhinestones

I hope you all have a great Thursday! Yeah for Greys!

Sea of Love

*I don't normally promote things for my Etsy, but just wanted to let you all know that I'm having a card sale. All of my cards right now are $0.99. I have a few that will expire at the beginning of March, so I am hoping to clear them out! I will be posting new cards on my Etsy after Valentine's Day!*

Can you tell I'm itchin for some nice weather? I had to dig and find some summer paper! I didn't have any water paper, but thought this fun beach theme would be cute.
Paper: Bo Bunny
Stamps: Doggone Stamps Seahorse , Sentiment is OBP
Buttons, Copic Markers, Prima Flowers, Crystal Stickles, and Bella Baubles

In September 2007, I bought a case of Tombow to make my Save the Date cards, invitations, RSVP cards, and Thank you cards. I'm amazed with everything I've made, that this case has lasted me a year and a half.

I wasn't going to buy so much this time around since I never want to do wedding stuff again, lol. But to get the best price, I had to buy a case. At least it is something I will use and hopefully it'll even last longer this time.

So here's to Tombow! I got them at http://www.penwa.com/ if you were wondering...and with the case, they're only $1.99 each (there are 144 in the case). No tax and free shipping!
ETA: Penwa does sell them individually for $2.10 a piece and they do free shipping after $50. I could of ordered less for a bit more, but figured since I know I will use them, it was worth it to me to save the $20. Hey, that's like 3 new bellas, lol. It gets even cheaper once you order in the hundreds and thousands, but didn't want to mess with a buy-in, sorting, and shipping to people. Most of my friends locally use the ATG now and buy Tombow for their CTMH customers, since CTMH sells it. I know many don't love Tombow anymore, but it's still my one and only, lol!

Hope you all have a great hump day!

Today is Lorie's and Chris's last day with the chicks. I promise that we're not dropping off like flies! But like many of us, they have many other commitments. They'll still be around and playing along when they can!

So, this gives all of you the opportunity to be a Guest Designer for the CBCC Chicks. Post back to Courtney's blog and let her know you're interested! We look forward to it!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team's projects. All of them are listed here in this CBC Challenge Chicks list. If you play along with us, remember to link your creation to Courtney's blog, and you could win a prize from Courtney! If you upload to SCS, the keyword is CBCC25.
