Strawberry Tilda

Here is my card for KL Stamping n Scrappin. This Tilda reminds me of the Strawberry Shortcake dolls that were made in the 80's. I was super excited to pair her up with my Basic Grey Nook and Pantry paper. I've been on a kraft card base thing for a bit, but decided to ink the edges with some chocolate chip. I also used Beate's Weekend Sketch #105.

Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: Magnolia, sentiment is Amuse
Pearls, Copics, Crystal Stickles, Prima Flowers, PTI Buttons, and Nestabilities

A few have asked how many Christmas cards I've made so far and right now I have made 98 cards. I have about 15 more to make. I didn't originally plan on making any for my Etsy, but I may make about 10 more for that, depending on how I feel and how much time I have. Before I mail them all, I will take a picture of all my cards together. :)

Usually when you look at stuff you made a year ago you cringe, but I still love my cards I made last December when I started this journey. My coloring skills have gotten MUCH better, but without another card to compare, my non-crafting relatives will have no idea, lol.

Everyone have a great Monday! It's back to work for me...

  1. Oh, so cute! That paper is perfect with your Strawberry Tilda! Can't wait to see a group shot of your Christmas Cards, it will be fun to see those early ones again. Have a great day!

P.S. I briefly introduced myself to Nona (and another friend of yours, but forgot to look at her name tag) at the CTMH regionals this weekend. I had a great time at my first ever event!

  14. Too cute! Fun layout too! I think it's funky that they grew out Strawberry Shortcake's hair for the new generation. They should have left it short.

  24. Hey Sparkle,

Strawberry Shortcake was the best!!! I can still remember how she smelled....and we had this great little "village" that we set up at Christmas that we called the Strawberry Shortcake village. My Sister and I sort of fought over it when we moved away from home...oh the things that we important back then....anyhow, your card turned out cute and Tilda does remind me of Strawberry shortcake.

    Cheers,
    Shanna
