Blog Candy

Sorry I don't have anything crafty for you today. I had hoped to get back home earlier on Sunday from the conference and craft a little. But I got distracted with chores, grocery shopping, and just being tired from working all weekend. Now that I have over 200 Followers, I am going to be giving away some fun blog candy.

I tried to think about what I wanted to give out. I thought it would be fun to give out what my "basics" are. I wanted to give out some Copics, but since I don't know of anywhere to buy the Sketch ones locally, I'm sorry I don't have any to give. The picture above, I created with photos I found on Google and some of the stuff I'm including isn't pictured.

- Mixed stack of Basic Grey 6x6 paper
- 4 mini stamp sets from There She Goes
- Pearls
- Mixed bag of ribbon

To enter for the blog candy, all you have to do is comment here by Saturday, November 21st. I will give you all until midnight and draw my winner on Sunday.

{So, the big question is, what are you asking for Christmas this year?} Can be crafty and non-crafty.

Brent just asked me that over the weekend and I really don't know what I want this year. Last year ALL of my family and Brent's family chipped in to get me the rest of my Copics. Best Christmas ever last year, lol. It was like when I was 5 and I got a 100 crayon pack out of my stocking. :)

  1. Congratulations! I asked Santa for my first set of copics.

  2. Congrats on 200 followers, that's great. I have asked Santa for some random Copics that I am missing and also some refills.

  3. Congratulations on 200 Followers, Sparkle. Well deserved that is for sure. While I don't think Copics are on my list for the year (although that IS an awesome gift...wow) I'm considering asking for Photoshop Elements 8. I've asked for a laptop a few times and that never happened. I thought about asking for a Cricut Expression, but given that I'm not even creating stuff with paper these days, that seems silly.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Hope you are able to rest up from your busy and exciting weekend!

  7. Congratulations on 200 followers. I love your blog and check it out daily. Your art is both inspiring and amazing. I am asking Santa for some 12x12 storage for my mass amout of paper. I hope Santa builds it for me but if they go out a buy a few of them that will be great too.

  8. Congrats on the milestone! Your blog candy is so generous!

I'm not sure what I'll ask for Santa... probably nothing major since I'm getting a new DSLR for our 10-yr anniversary in Feb (I may ask Santa to help me get that a little sooner, though.. :))

  9. Congratulations. I am asking for some more Copics and maybe, some peace and quiet would be nice. LOL

  10. Congrats on all your followers, that is awesome. Its not an easy either, lol I have 6 followers.

Anyway, for Christmas I want a Gypsy (from Provocraft), but between you and me I don't think I am getting it. At $399 it might be a tad to expensive for Santa.

Thanks for the chance to win these goodies!

  11. Congrats on 200 followers! Thanks for letting us celebrate with you and have a chance to win! I'm asking for Michaels gift cards so I can buy some more Jetmax containers and FINALLY get my craft room organized!

  12. Yay!! 200. Hmm, for Christmas this year I would love the Haan Steam Cleaner. Lame, but I never buy anything for myself. Thanks so much for the chance to win. Keeping my fingers crossed.

  14. Congrats Sparkle on the followers!
There are 2 things I'd like for X-mas. First a Scorpal, on world card making day at SCS I discovered all the uses for it. Now I just have to get one. The other is a cute little 4x6 picture scanner, I have a huge box of photos, PRE-DIGITAL, that I want to get scanned. This little gadget although will have to do 1 at a time, allow to scan onto a media card, so don't need to be sitting infront of computer to get the job done. I know it will take a while since I have literally thousands of photos to do. But will make a good winter project and hopefully can come up with some great scrapbooking pages at the same time.

  17. That's a lotta followers girl and you deserve it! I haven't decided what I am asking for this year. We do Christmas differently. We each get one gift in each of four catagories. Something we want, something we need, something to wear, an something to read. Most of the time I just ask for basic stuff. I did see a really neat family necklace I would like though. :o)

    ReplyDelete
  18. I love your blog, and 200 followers is awesome.

I have been asked about what I want for Christmas, and I really can't think of anything for myself. My sister is in a tight spot for money, and I would rather see her get somethings she needs.

Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Congratulations Sparkle! I have been a follower of yours since you were a CTMH consultant and have really been inspired by your work. Thank you for sharing! Also, thanks so much for the chance to win this wonderful blog candy! I am asking for Copics for Christmas, to add to my lonely 8 I have started! Also, a Bind it All and maybe a new Cricut cartridge. My birthday is Dec 22nd so...more fun things to add to my craft room!

  20. Hi Sparkle,
Congrats on all those followers! I have 10 now, maybe I should do some blog candy, lol!

Like a lot of people before me I would like to ask for a few basic copics, but I think I need to be very specific for "Santa" or he may have a hard time with that, lol.

I'm also asking for something non-crafty. I'd like a Nintendo DSi so I can play games with my two boys and get some of those Brain Age games too. (I'm getting old and need the help exercising my noggin). Thanks for the chance to win your awesome candy!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Congrats on over 200 followers! Your work is always divine - I love seeing how you've grown as an artist - I first found you through CTMH. Thanks for sharing!

  23. WOW, you got all the Copics? I am envious. Cograts on the 200 followers I thought I was one since I come to your blog all the time. I wasn't so I add me. I did ask for a gift certificate from oozak.com. I guess the copis are on a lot of lists. I also want a sewing machine.

  33. I am proud to be one of your 200 followers. I have learned so much from you.

For Christmas I am asking for a few Visa giftcards so that I can order stamps and supplies on the internet. I live in an area that has very few craft stores and options so I would rather order online.

    ReplyDelete
  34. sweet candy!!! ever since I had kids I don't really ask for anything for Christmas and would perfer that gifts are given to them, I would rather watch the kids open there gifts then to receive

    ReplyDelete
  35. What great blog candy!!

This year my husband and I are building our dream home, so we consider that our Christmas!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Congratulations on hitting 200! I adore your cards, you give me so much inspiration...anyway for Christmas I want the Nintendo Wii. I want to get the Wii Sport because my New Years Resolution is to get active and healthier (isn't that everyones goal?). And it seems so fun, even my 2-year old loves it!!!

  37. CONGRATS SPARKS!!!

Let's see.... I'd like a new pair of rain boots, a few cds, and a yarn winder. Unfortunately my sewing machine broke this morning, so I'll probably be asking for a new one of those too.

    ;) hugs,

  41. Congrats. Thank you for your site as it gives me inspiration. For Christmas - more copics for me!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. My hubby and I don't exchange gifts so I don't ask for anything for Christmas. But a little more help around the house from him without complaining about it would be awful nice :-)

    Congrats on 200 followers.

  43. Congrats on 200 followers. Being a single mom I actually told my children (26, 23, 21 & 19) that as long as we could spend Christmas together I would be happy. The 2 oldest have small children and times are tough. As long as the kids have presents that makes me happy!

    ReplyDelete
  44. The big thing on my list is more Copics. I really wish I would have purchased a set at a time instead of individually....oh well.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Over 200 followers and you still take the time to comment on my blog!!!! You are SUCH a sweetie. You are also a source of inspiration and I have learned so much from you. Also that you need a bank loan to get ALL the Copics. What do I want....Well I have my new craft area so I think (apart from the rest of the Copics) I would like a Cross for my gold chain.

    ReplyDelete
  46. how fun! Thanks for the inspiration - I didn't even THINK to ask for copics! K, that's what I want, since we really can't aford the charm from Tiffany's that I want, *sigh* :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Awesome candy Sparkle so you own all the Copics, good for you! I want fun stuff! I will narrow it down later! Beth

  48. Hello Sparkle! Thx for the chance to win! I know what you mean about being busy, I haven't had a chance to make a card since last Friday!

For Xmas I am going to be really extravagant and have asked for a large leather dog bed (yes, a dog bed!) for our yellow labs (we're picking up our second puppy in a week's time!). Gone are the days when I'd be asking for stuff for myself! We've got a cheap but very practical plastic dog bed that is hidden under my desk in my study, but I want something nicer than the yellowing shaggy sheepskin in the living room!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Congrats on all the followers! I check your blog daily on Google reader!

I am asking Santa for a Wii. Originally it was for the kids, but deep down I want it too. And if he brings some scrapping supplies that would be just fine too!

    Thanks, Michelle stampindipity@gmail.com

  59. Congrat on you following, it is well deserved. I look forward to reading your blog it is alway an inspiration. I appeciate your following too, you are so sweet.

Now that I have my copics too, I guess I'ld just assume gift cards to pick out stuff I like rather than have everyone else's ideas. And to think I really am easy to buy for.

  60. Congrats on your 200 followers! I have to say I've been an admirer of your work for awhile now (SB, TGF, etc) and it's very inspiring and you have such a creative flair. Thank you for sharing with us all you do. For Christmas the only thing I'm asking for is a new small shelf to hold my ribbons on ... may *Santa* be good to all of us, lol! Hugs!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Congrats Sparkle! I have so enjoyed following your blog and have been so inspired, esp by your christmas card challenges!

What am I asking for this year? Hmm, mostly quality time with my boys while they are off school and I am off work, but scrapbooking supplies are always nice! My best friend owns the LSS, so it isn't too difficult for my hubby to shop, he need only ask her what to get. I must say, I am usually a very happy girl come Christmas morning, but Christmas is my fave time of year anyhow. The halls are already decked, save for the real tree!

This year I have already recieved a pretty awesome "gift" I get to quit my job and go to school full time without worrying about another job. But should my family ask what I want I will be asking for a ball winder with swift, and interchangable knitting needles.

  73. I have been unemployed for over a year now and so I don't really want much. It would be nice to see our kids this year, they are all in California, but with no job for me it will be VERY hard to do. We will be putting up a tree and making it the best we can without a whole lot of money and those are the best most of the time.

    ReplyDelete
  74. My wish list consists of copics, copics and MORE copics!! I only have 6! Of course blog candy as fabulous as this would be great too! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Wow, congrats on your 200 followers! Sounds like last year's Christmas was a great one for you! I don't know what I want yet, either... I've been thinking about copics (I have 2 plus the blender lol...) but I do like my pencil crayons & OMS... I'll probably ask for some crafty stuff like flowers etc, and some cooking stuff, like a new cookbook :) Thanks for the chance to win!

  76. Congrats on your 200+ followers! I had a weightloss goal of 50 pounds and I'm almost there so my goal and Christmas wish was a Canon Rebel and gift certificates to the local scrapbook store. 77. Congratulations! As it's also my birthday in December, I think I'll put the money together to buy me a large box with coloured pencils. ReplyDelete
  80. Whew, just in the nick of time. I'm not sure what I really want this year. I usually just go buy what I want when I see it (one of the benefits of re-joinging the work force. I don't have much time for crafting anymore :( I'm afraid to get even one Copic, because I know it could become an addiction for me--lol. Maybe a Kindle--I keep hearing how fabulous they are. If BSU goes to the Fiesta Bowl, I think we're all going. That would be a fun gift for the whole family!
