Saving the Planet with Ecobella

This Bella reminds me of my 2 best friends. Catherine use to work for the World Wildlife Fund and everything they used in their office was made of recycled products. She always looks on the back of cards to see if they're made from recyclable paper. I apologize to her all the time, because my hobby isn't Earth friendly, lol.

Shannon is so "granola," that we just laugh and tease her about it. She shares a car with her hubby and they don't drive very often. She's having her baby at the end of this month and she's choosing to do cloth diapers. :) But she is doing disposables for the first 6 weeks while she's recovering, so my diaper cake that I made her will get good use! I miss my college roomies so much!

Paper: My Minds Eye Abbey's Road
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Prima Flowers, Basic Grey Buttons, Dew Drops, Nestabilites, Friskars Border Punch, and Crystal Stickles

Everyone have a great Thursday! Yeah for Grey's and Private Practice tonight! :)

  13. LOVE your card, the layout is fabulous! We have some friends who are so "green" it's hilarious. Very cool, mind you, but they use cloth diapers, walk or ride their bikes only, grow and make their own food (bread, yogurt, applesauce, fruits and veggies) as well as making their own dish detergent, sewing their own clothes, etc. Very eco-coonscious - this card would be perfect for them!

  16. I'm a green snob too. I do it because I want my grandkids to see what I see today and also cause I have a not green hobby :P Our family recycles EVERYTHING. Actually I need to empty out my paper and plastic bin in my craft room :)

Your friend, you should suggest the dDiapers. That's what we use at home and when Jovie's at daycare she uses Nature Baby Care. When she switches to 100% cloth, she can use the gDiaper outer and plastic liners. She just needs to then switch the padding to cloth. Easy :)

LOVE your card!!! Super cute and the green is fab!!!!

  19. Cute cute Sparks! My hubby and I always tell our girls, turn out the lights...save a polar bear! :) We watched a few shows about that. I admit though, we aren't totally into it, so it's more of a teasing thing. =)

  24. You card is so "green" it's perfect - love it! I have a slight tendency towards "granola barism" as well, though not over the top. For example, we thought seriously about cloth diapers, but once I realized how much babies poop, reality hit and disposable it was! We do recycle and compost everything we possibly can - my youngest son is forever saying "Keep it Mommy, I'll use it for crafts!" So, not much hits the Garbage before at least being re-used. And, I love how much he likes crafts - that apple didn't fall far from the tree! Cheers to a fab card! You may just have convinced me that I NEED that stamp!

  28. i so want to stitch on my cards and l.o.'s and your card makes me want to do it even more so! cool combo of colors! & fun stories about your green friends.

i'd like to think i buy organic sometimes and recycle a lot but you're right...my hobbies of scrapping and card making are not earth friendly at all :(.

  34. So fun! I loved the stories about your 'green' friends. I think that is so awesome. I never got up enough courage to do the cloth diapers even though I wanted to. The thought of laundering all that baby poop scared me off!
