Sunglasses Emma and a Sherrod Studio Sneak Peek

Happy Monday! I have 2 cards for you today. My first card is for KL Stampin n Scrappin. I also used Jen del Muro's Sketch For You to Try. I really love the bright colors on this card.

Paper: Basic Grey Lime Rickey
Stamps: CC Designs, sentiment is Amuse
PTI Ribbon, Prima Flowers, Basic Grey Buttons, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

So, I will admit that this is the first time I've ever made Halloween cards in August. Sherrod Studio is releasing their new sets on Thursday and here is a sneek peek at their new Halloween set. It makes me excited for Fall to come. I love the crisp air, colored leaves, and warm snuggy sweaters. Don't forget to check out the rest of the team's projects. All of them are listed here in the Sherrod Studio Design Team list.

Paper: SU
Stamps: Sherrod Studio
CTMH Buttons, Twine, Copics, and Crystal Stickles

I finally watched Twilight this weekend...and it was actually better than I thought, since many said it was cheesy. If you don't read the book prior to seeing it, I think it might be a bit hard to understand some parts. Of the series, book 3 was my favorite, so I'm not looking forward to a depressed Bella in the next movie, lol.

I hope you all have a great Monday! It's back to work for me...

  2. I know what you mean about making Halloween cards in August. It's just like making Christmas cards in July, which I do every year with a bunch of my friends.

  8. While I am so not into seeing Halloween cards in August, I can appreciate the talent that went into creating it. Your witch looks fantastic.

I adore the first card, though! It's bright and summery and so fun!

    Thanks for sharing!

  9. Two very cute cards Sparkle!! Great colors in the first one and cute Halloween card! I love doing Halloween cards, love adding purple to the orange & black!

I thought the same thing about the Twilight movie. My friend watched it with me and she hasn't read the book. I told her it's hard to portray all of Bella's "thoughts" on screen. I do do think RP is a great Edward (hubba, hubba).

I'm not quite done with book 4 yet, but so far, it's actually my least favorite. Happy Monday!

  23. Love the cards...and I agree, working on Halloween in August feels weird..but fun!

My favorite of the Twilight books was #3 too...and my hubby totally didn't get the movie, and we watched it again and I paused it while I explained what was really going on...he said that helped a lot. Not sure how they're going to fill in everything they left out in the first one with this next one. But, I'll definitely be going to the theatre to see it.

Love coming to visit your blog and see your new creations!

  25. Love the Halloween card! And Eclipse is my fave of the series too....it has a lot of funny moments! My favorite is when Emmett asks Bella if she fell down again and she replies "No Emmett, I punched a werewolf in the face!" Ha!Love it!And the movie Eclipse opens on my 31st birthday (6/30/10/) so can't wait for that!

  27. Hi Sparkle,
Love both your cards, super cute witch. I just recently finished the Twilight series and LOVED IT! I was so obsessed, reading was all I wanted to do! I did not hate the movie, but find the book was way better. Can't wait to see what they do with the next movie - I agree though about depressed Bella, I wonder how long they will dwell on that part...it was so painful in the book...

Anyhow, glad to be back to blogging & visiting after some time away. Cheers,
    Shanna
