In Real Time

It's really rare that I actually post in real time. Most of the time I take all of my photos and edit them all at the same time. Then I figure out what days to post what. If something changes from what I thought would happen or my plans change, lol, I will go back and edit my journaling.

You've probably noticed that I switched some things around on my blog. It's amazing what you can find through Google. The only thing I haven't been able to find out yet is how to get more than 18 pictures on the Followers widget. If any of you know...please let me know!!!

This week I've been so busy with work, looking at houses, celebrating New Years, and getting things put together for Catherine's wedding. But I did want to take a quick moment and share some great news with you all.

Nancy asked me to be a part of the DogGone Stamps Design Team...and Kelly also asked me to be a part of her Design Team for the KL Stampin and Scrappin Store. I am so excited to start on these!

I hope you all have a great Friday!

Today's challenge is a color challenge. If you don't have SU paper, you can substitute with any like colors.

I joined a raining card group on the Magnolia Yahoo Group, so I made this card for one of this month's recipients. The image isn't a Valentine Collection Tilda, but I still think she's darling. She reminds me of the shy type, lol.

Paper: SU Cardstock, Basic Grey Bittersweet
Stamps: Magnolia, CTMH
Prima Flowers, Copic Markers, Bella Baubles, MM Heart Brads, and Rhinestones

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team's projects. All of them are listed here in this CBC Challenge Chicks list. If you play along with us, remember to link your creation to Courtney's blog, and you could win a prize from Courtney! If you upload to SCS, the keyword is CBCC23.

I hope you have been enjoying the New Years Celebration! Isn't it great when holidays are 3 days long? Brent and I went out to eat dinner on Monday night and I got my favorite, Peking Duck. Brent wanted Beef Broccoli and you should of seen the look on the waitress when Brent asked for Chinese Broccoli. I wanted to laugh so hard...I think she thought he didn't know what he was ordering.

The food was fabulous and they were so sweet to give us free dessert and a gift card for the same amount of our dinner. It was the best Chinese food I've had since I've left Portland, lol.

Brent also took me to go see Gran Torino after dinner. I wrote about it here on my livejournal. Since I don't post my artwork on there anymore...I haven't post on there in a long time. I also put my settings back so anonymous comments can't be posted, just an fyi.

Anyhoo- I hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Though I begged and begged, I still never got these cute little guys on top of my wedding cake, lol. These were a gift Anna, my step-mom, gave me after she went to Vancouver, BC for the first time.

I haven't been back to Vancouver yet and I've been in Seattle for a year already! I actually probably won't go til Brent and I go to the Olympics! We're going to see men's hockey. I wanted to get figure skating tickets, but they were too expensive.

I hope you all have a Happy New Year! It's the Year of the Ox.

Today's challenge is a sketch challenge!

I did something that I haven't done in a long time. I made a card that doesn't require me to color anything, lol. It was weird for me not to reach for my Copics.

I also have to say that this sketch was a bit challenging for me. I'm so use to having an image as the focus point...and then it dawned on me that the sentiment was suppose to be it. :)

Stamps: CTMH Key To My Heart, Connections

Blog Candy Winner!

Thanks for all the great Valentine stories! But nothing can beat driving around naked, so I have to pick Stephanie as my winner. Please email me your address to and I'll get those nesties out to you!

Stephanie said: Cute card! Have I got a crazy story for you! When I was a senior in high school, I was dating a very cute boy who wanted to attend a specific concert the weekend after Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, the concert was already sold out. I was on my way to work one Saturday morning and I heard one of the radio stations announcing a contest to win two tickets to that very concert. They had everyone meet at their location for details. To my surprise, the contest was to see who could drive around the city, totally naked, with just a V Day stuffed teddy bear in their lap the longest without getting pulled over. Looking back on the situation, I probably could have gone without participating, but at the time I was totally infatuated with him, and I thought it was worth it. I got some strange looks, and lots of honking! I have to admit it was pretty funny. And, yes, I won the tickets! LOLThe things people do, eh? Thanks for the opportunity to win some Nesties!

Blog Candy and Lily is a Fairy

This is the card I made for Pink Cat Studio's contest. I'm so excited that Melissa is going to make Lilly a fairy! I'm sure the stamp set will be adorable. Are you ready to get your wallets out tomorrow?!? Because the PCS stamps are just too cute. Who can resist Billy as a Cupid?

And you probably noticed the sketch...this is my very first time playing with Mojo Monday. This is sketch #69. Lastly, I'm starting my February birthday cards...aren't you proud of me?

Paper: CTMH Day Dream
Stamps: Pink Cat Studio, CTMH
CTMH Buttons, Copic Markers, Cuttlebug Embossing, and Crystal Stickles

Do you all remember a few months ago when I "LOST" one of my circle nestabilities die? And I was really sad about it? Well, after two weeks of not finding it, I ordered another set. When I tell you where I found it, you'll all laugh at me. It was stuck inside of one of my Bella Binders. Now, I own 7 of these...and I stamp lotsa lotsa images at once. It's really rare, except to add new stamps, that I flip through my binders a lot.

So...I have a Large Regular Circle Nestabilities Die set up for grabs. You do need a die cutting machine to use these. :)

My question is...whats the craziest thing you've done for someone on Valentine's Day? You will have until Sunday night to answer and I'll draw a winner on Monday morning.

When I was freshman in college (I started dating Brent the summer before our sophomore year of college), I was a part time teller at Bank of America. There was this gorgeous older guy that worked across the street and would come into the bank everyday at 11:58 am. While I had a crush on him, I was always very professional with him when he came in. Over 4-5 months, I really got to know this guy (he would talk about his friends and family) and used Valentine's Day as an excuse to finally tell him, lol.

So I bought a huge bag of conversation hearts and I picked out all of the ones that said "Call Me" and made a cute little bag with my phone number inside. I went across the street to his office and left it at the front desk. He came over after work and thanked me for his gift...and he asked me what I was doing that night. Unfortunately, my best friend's boyfriend had just broken up with her, so I had planned on going out with her. He was going to a party...

He never called me, lol...but I don't have any regrets...I got Brent in the end. :)
