Sunflower Tilda

Now that I have learned how to use my Copics a bit better, my next step is to learn how to use the colorless blender and white space more. I tried the colorless blender with this card and parts I like...but parts I don't.

I also used my new Spellbinders. Which I've actually had for awhile...but I just haven't gotten around to using it. I sometimes feel like I'm swimming in stuff, lol.

Paper: CTMH Boom-di-ada
Stamps: Magnolia
CTMH Buttoms, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug, Crystal Stickles, and Copic Markers

Civil War!

Today the Oregon State Beavers are playing the Oregon Ducks. This is the day that Brent and I are divided, lol...as I bleed orange and black! But yet my favorite color is green...I guess I went to the wrong school, eh? If the Beavers win, thats 3 Civil War games won in a row and we'll go to the Rose Bowl! Since the Civil War game is at home, we're totally in favor to win...so I hope the Beavs can pull through this last win!

This layout is not new, but while in college, of course Brent and I went to the rivalry games! We usually didn't meet up til after the games were over. I'm wearing my Beavers sweatshirt and Brent's wearing his Duck shirt in this pic.

This is from the last game I actually went to with my friend/sorority sister/bridesmaid Christine. Christine is 6'1 and I'm 5'2, so taking pictures of us together has always been challenging! We laugh at them alot, lol.

I hope you all have a great Saturday! And go Beavs!

Black Friday Tistheseasontobejollybella Card

This is what Thanksgiving is all about to me! This year, with no car yet and saving for a house, I thought that I decided to not go out. It would be the first year for me not to go shopping since I was little. But...I got a call on Tuesday morning from Brent's ex SIL and she and Brent's niece Breana wants to go shopping. Well, with partners in tote, I couldn't say no, lol.

I'm not a morning person at all! This is my one exception of the year! I'll be getting up at 3am (normally close to my bedtime, lol) and hitting the stores. I normally do ALL of my Christmas shopping this day, so I'm excited! I've learned to be tough! The worst thats ever happened is the normal getting hit by a cart so someone can fight with someone else over the "last" one of something. And I'm little, so I can dash through people.

As soon as I saw this Bella, I knew she was perfect for my shopping holiday! And I normally wear my bright orange OSU sweatshirt when I go too! :) So then people can see me and not hit me with their carts, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Ambrosia
Stamps: Stamping Bella
CTMH Ribbon, Copics, Rhinestones, and Crystal Stickles

If you go out there, I hope you get great deals and be safe! Have a great shopping day!

Next Friday is the next Bella Bash! We're having it early because Stamping Bella is turning 2 on December 7th. So I hope to see you in the Bella Forum on Friday, December 5th at 7:30 pm Central Time.

That's 5:30 pm PST, 6:30 pm MST, and 8:30 pm EST.

There will be new stamps released! There will be games, challenges, and the prizes have been raised just for Bella's birthday. Normally we give away $20 gift cards, but this time we're giving away $50 gift cards! That could be a fun Christmas present to you!

Happy Thanksgiving and Butterflyabella Card

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This isn't really a big holiday for me. I broke my ankle on Thanksgiving when I was 8 and my family was never into football or anything, so it was really just another excuse to hang out and eat. I do miss the days when my mom and my Aunt Nancy took turns hosting and both cooked all day.

Anna isn't really one to cook American food...so it's going to be Asian food for my family this year. I'm not really sure what my In-laws are doing. I would guess that Scott, Brent's twin, will be going over there.

Brian, Brent's older brother, is a great cook! So lucky for us we'll have a great meal! Last year Brent and I were packing to get ready to move here. So we spent the day all by ourselves and got food from Boston Market. That is one thing I do miss from Denver! And of course Archivers!

It's Nona's birthday (first card) this weekend and as soon as I got my newest Bella, I knew she would be perfect with this paper. It's also Laurel's birthday (second card) tomorrow. Sorry Laurel, it's gonna be a bit late!

Paper: Basic Grey Ambrosia
Stamps: Stamping Bella
CTMH Brads, Nestabilities, Crystal Stickles and Copic Markers

Paper: Basic Grey, CTMH
Stamps: Magnolia, Sentiment is Stamping Bella
Copic Markers, Crystal Stickles, CTMH Brads, and Prima Flowers

Hope you all enjoy your yummy turkey! Well, for those who are my USA sistahs.

Marjorie's Color Challenge #40 and MFT Who's That Girl Challenge #11

Marjorie picked Cranberry, Goldrush, Brown Bag, and Garden Green for her color challenge. Brown Bag and Parchment are the only 2 CTMH colors that I do not only any cardstock in. So, I used Desert Sand in its place.

For the Who's That Girl challenge this week, we were to use Nature's Call and use up scraps. I colored in the scene around the hiker with my Copics.

Paper: CTMH
Stamps: MFT Nature's Call
Swiss Dots Cuttlebug, Copic Markers, Buttons

Yeah for it being the last work day for this week. We're not going home for Thanksgiving, but we're going up to Everett to visit Brent's older brother and spend Thanksgiving with him. I hope you all have a great Wednesday!

Created By Courtney Challenge #16

This weeks challenge is to make a bagalope. If you remember, I made one about a month ago. I needed some practice before I made one for the challenge, lol.

I got this image from Wish RAK and I don't know why...but I seriously think its the most funniest thing I've ever seen. I just love it! I also got the cardstock from Wish RAK! I'm loving the new SU In Colors!

Paper: SU Cardstock
Stamps: Whipper Snapper
Ribbon, Copic Markers, CTMH Brads, and Liquid Applique

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team's bagalopes. All of them are listed under the CBC Challenge Chicks list on the right side of my blog. If you play along with us, you could win a prize from Courtney! If you upload to SCS, the keyword is CBCC16. Everyone have a great Tuesday!

Sugar Nellie and Marjorie's Sketch Challenge Card

I'm still working on using my scraps...as I bought this Basic Grey paper last December. I think I got this image from Laurel...but I could totally be wrong. I know its more of a spring/summer image, but loved using fall colors with it.

This is also the same sketch as Marjorie's for her blog candy. Except, I didn't make a winter theme card, so I know it doesn't really count, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey Mellow, CTMH
Stamps: Sugar Nellie, CTMH Say It In Style
CTMH conchos, Crystal Stickles, CTMH Buttons, and Prima Flowers

I was really proud of myself for using up all of my little cranberry conchos! I hope you all have a great Monday! Yeah for having a short work week!

Happy Holidays Card

For those who celebrate, what is your favorite Christmas album? Mine is Amy Grant's Home for Christmas. My favorite song on there is Emmanuel, God With Us. I've had that CD since I was in the 7th grade. Can you believe it? Sadly, it got stolen when my car got stolen...so that is probably one thing I will buy myself this holiday season.

Just another card with Evensong and Wish RAK images. Slowly getting done with all of my cards!

Paper: CTMH Evensong
Stamps: SU
CTMH Buttons, Crystal Stickles, and Copic Markers

Hope you all have a great Sunday!

And the Christmas cards continue. Are you sick of my Evensong paper yet?!? I got this image and my sentiment from Wish RAK and I'm still plucking away at my Christmas cards.

Paper: CTMH
Stamps: House Mouse, SU
CTMH Buttons, Copic Markers, and Crystal Stickles

I hope you all have a great weekend! Tonight Brent and I are going to a friend's house warming party! And I will be picking my Bella Bash Challenge winner!

Marjorie's Color Challenge #39 and MFT Who's That Girl Challenge #10

Marjorie picked Tulip, Outdoor Denim, Heavenly Blue, and Ocean for her colors.

For the Who's That Girl Challenge, we were suppose to use Gone to the Dogs stamps, 2 different kinds of patterned paper, and 3 buttons.

I must say that finding B&T in the right colors for Marjorie's color challenge was quite a search. But I think I did a good job matching stuff up.

Paper: CTMH Serendipity and CS
Stamps: MFT Gone to the Dogs, and MFT Twisted Sentiments
Prima Flowers, CTMH Buttons, Brads, and Copic Markers

Hope you all have a great Friday!

My Most Embarassing Moment...

This is post #3...so scroll down to see both of the Bella Bash Challenge Cards and my cool pics with Ben McKenzie.

Now, this event in my life is very monumental, as it happened 1 week before my mom died, 3 weeks before Kerry lost the election to Bush, and it was the most embarrassing day of my life, lol.

Did you know that only 10% of my age bracket (18-26) vote? Did you know that if everyone in my age bracket in the US voted, we alone could pick our President?

Ben McKenzie came to Oregon State University (and colleges all over the country) to promote voting in my age group. He was also supporting Kerry at the time, but really came out to say no matter who you vote for, JUST VOTE!

Scot, one of my best friends was going to meet me after he got out of class. I was listening to Ben speak and Scot called me. I forgot to put my phone on vibrate and it started to RING! Can you guess what my ring tone was? Yep, the theme song to the OC! And everyone in the room, even Ben, started laughing at me. I just wanted to die!

But hey, he was a good sport about it and still took his picture with me! And he's touching me in the pic, lol. I do still bathe though. :)

Religion and politics are things I never talk about. It's not because I don't have faith, passion, or views--but because I respect that everyone has different beliefs, morals, and opinions. Unfortunately not everyone gives back the same respect, so I'm going to close the comments on this post.

I hope you all have a great Thursday! I'll finally be posting Marjorie's color challenge tomorrow!

Grateful Kinibella Card - GGBBC2

There's 2 posts, so read below to see the first challenge too.

My challenge for you tonight to is to make a card for someone who you are grateful for, other than your spouse or significant other. I also want you to pick embellishments that you are most grateful for and use them on the card. A little story with your card would be nice too...just so I know who they're going to. :)

For mine, I picked my friend Shannon. You'll remember, it was her birthday just a bit ago and I made her a fun Bella Birthday card. And remember I told you that the OC was our favorite show?!? Well, since she's still down in the OC, I just had to make this for her. If you didn't watch the show when it was on, the background resembles the background cover of the OC logo. The bottom text is the theme song to the show.

And why I picked Shannon...is because while she won't be able to attend Catherine's wedding with me, she has been such a doll in listening to me and supporting me while planning for it. I'm planning with a few gals I don't really know, so its been interesting. I wish I was doing this all with Shannon. She's graduating with her Masters on the same day as Catherine's wedding, so it's going to be so weird for her not to be there...as the 3 of us have always been together.

We're the holiday blinging roomies, lol. Shannon and Will got married 2 days before Christmas. Brent and I got married the day after 4th of July. And Catherine and Chris are getting married 2 days before Memorial Day. And I swear it wasn't planned that way!

With my name, you have to know that glitter is my favorite embellishment. Flowers are my second!

Keyword: GGBB2

Paper: CTMH
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Making Memories Rub-ons, Prima Flowers, Bella Dots, Crystal Stickles, and Copic Markers

You have until Saturday night to participate in the challenge. And then I'll be picking my winner! You could win $20 to Stamping Bella!

And lastly...I got to meet Ben McKenzie aka Ryan on the OC! It was the most embarrassing day in my life, but that's another story for another day. Remind me and I'll post it later. :)

My brother cracks me up...as he never watched the OC. But he always sees my pictures. One day he walked by when I was watching the OC and he says "Hey, its that guy in that picture with you. Wow, he's really famous."

I hope you all have a great Wednesday night! Isn't Grey's getting good? Are you sad they kicked Brooke Smith off the show? Can't wait for tomorrow!

Giving Thanks to Your Favorite Bella GGBBC1 - Snowbunnybella Card

Laura's challenge is to make a card using your most loved Bella. You all already know that Snowbunnybella was my first Bella and my most favorite Bella! So, of course I had to use her!

Keyword: GGBB1

I know I didn't really use winter paper, but I think my card turned out okay. Snowbunnybella always makes me want a nice warm jacket like that!

Paper: Basic Grey Urban Pairie, CTMH
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Crystal Stickles, Copic Markers, CTMH Buttons, and Bella Baubles

You have until Saturday night to participate in this challenge. Then Laura will be choosing her winner. You could win $20 to Stamping Bella!

Gobblin Good Bella Bash

I can't post my Bella Bash challenge cards til 8:00pm (6:00pm my time) and 9:00pm (7:00pm my time), when the Bella Bash challenges go live...so I hope you will all join us or come back later.

Created By Courtney Challenge #15

This is my 2nd post for today...so read below for my great news and pics of my trip to Portland.

Today's challenge is a sketch challenge! Some of these stamps were part of Just Johanna's Odd Bird Planet's October special. I have been wanting to play with these stamps and I think it came out just great. Who doesn't love a bright and sparkly ocean?

It's also Brent's birthday today...but don't worry, I didn't make this for him, lol. This is Brent's blog if you want to give him a birthday hello! I think he gets a little jealous that way more people read mine, lol.

Paper: Basic Grey, CTMH, DCWV
Stamps: Just Johanna
Prima Flowers, Copic Markers, Liquid Glass, Bella Dots and CTMH Brads

Don't forget to check out the rest of the team's cards. All of them are listed under the CBC Challenge Chicks list on the right side of my blog. If you play along with us, you could win a prize from Courtney! If you upload to SCS, the keyword is CBCC15. Everyone have a great Tuesday!

My Great News!!!

I've been waiting a long time to share this with you all...but I am officially a member of the Odd Bird Planet Design Team. I am very excited to start in December!

My trip to Portland was nice...my parent's new house is absolutely gorgeous. You can see the outside of it in the pic below. I'm happy for Anna to have her own house...but sad to not be in my mom's house. It was nice to see my grandma and she's doing a bit better now that she's adjusting to being up here in Oregon.

As always, the kiddos are just a bundle of fun. They're such hams...its hilarious. I think Michael should be a "Gap" baby!

I let Emily play with my Copic Markers and she fell in love with my ballet Tilda I colored. So I let her have it, and she named her "Pink," lol.

My Aunt Nancy took us shopping, since my Grandma wanted to buy some things. While they were shopping, I let Emily ride on the cars. Elmo is her favorite, so she had tons of fun!

I hope you all had a great Monday...and its back to work for me!

Greetings Earthling!

Isn't this just a super fun card?!? These stamps are Just Johanna's Odd Bird Planet. As soon as I saw him, it instantly made me think of Marjorie and Jenn. I wish I had cupcake antennas, lol. I still have lots of this paper...so I may have to start with the cupcakes again...

Paper: Basic Grey Cupcakes, CTMH
Stamps: Just Johanna's Odd Bird Planet
Copic Markers, Prima Flowers and CTMH Brads

I hope you all have a great Monday! Yeah for being at home and not going to work today, lol.

Skiing Riley Card

These were a batch of easy and simple cards to make. I know most of my Christmas cards will just end up in the trash...so I didn't go all out on most of them. I the sentiment from Wish RAK.

Paper: CTMH, Basic Grey Figgy Pudding
Stamps: Hanna Stamps, Sentiment is SU
Copic Markers, CTMH Ribbon, and Crystal Stickles

Isn't my 2nd love so cute though?!? I really like red, blue, and white together for a winter color combo. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Santa with Penguins Christmas Card

I got this Whipper Snapper image from Wish RAK. It instantly made me think of Catherine, since she loves the penguins!

Paper: CTMH Evensong
Stamps: Whipper Snapper, Sentiment is SU
Copic Markers, Crystal Stickles, and CTMH Buttons

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I will be exploring my dad's new house out in Boring...lol...and will probably still go to Gresham to see if I can borrow Brien's car, as my brother is still living in our old family house. I am also hoping to see Shannon Wong while I'm home too. Valerie too is she's not busy.

I know I'm grown and live away, but I still think its weird that my dad moved. Christmas this year just won't be the same to me, since the house in Gresham is the one I grew up in. What can you do, lol?!?

Christmas Cards Galore

Today after work, Brent and I will heading down to Portland. It's Brent's birthday on Tuesday and we're going home so he can celebrate with Scott, his twin brother. I originally didn't plan on going down as well, but I need to go and see my family. I will know more about the Hawaii decision when I get back. :) And I'm so excited to see Emily! I miss her tons!

Well, I've been working on Christmas cards since September...and I'm still not completely done. But I am mass producing, so for every design you see, I'll make at least 4 or 5 of them. Except for the House Mouse ones...because I got those images from Wish RAK and only got 1 or 2 each.

This is the most simple, yet favorite card out of all of them that I've made. I might seriously consider buying this stamp and make more for next year. We'll see...

Paper: CTMH, Basic Grey Figgy Pudding
Stamps: House Mouse, Sentiment is Stamping Bella
Copic Markers and Crystal Stickles

I have Monday off and won't be back into town til Tuesday...but I have Christmas cards for you everyday til I get back! Much love and have a great Friday!
